What happened?
Sep 01Reply

tgoode1
@heatherea83 just negative experience - when I shipped it in a timely manner and the package had to sit at a PO box a week or more before the buyer got it and accepted it. I think Poshmark hasn't figured out a policy about it though yet.
Sep 02Reply

heatherea83
Ah that makes sense, I'm glad you posted this!
Sep 02Reply

heatherea83
I forget they have to retrieve their own mail, don't think they should accept PO Boxes! We need to get paid girl! Lol 😉
Sep 02Reply

tgoode1
@heatherea83 I think it's a loophole many buyers can use which is not fair to sellers. And I know there are a lot of trustworthy people with PO Box addresses, but I want to major myself clear. I hope it all makes sense.
Sep 02Reply

heatherea83
Yea it totally does, I definitely won't ship to a PO Box after knowing this.

Thanks for the info!
Oct 03Reply

tgoode1
@tmi71710 i am sure that most of PO Box addressees are responsible ( or at least I like to think that way). I just had very unfortunate experience and for small amounts where I had to chase buyers to go the PO box and accept delivery and having no communication from the other end. So it was very frustrating and that's why I decided to have this post (just wanted to explain myself).
Oct 03Reply

tmi71710
Thank you. The more info I get the better protected I am!
Oct 03Reply

tgoode1
@tmi71710 I also look through the sold items to see if there were any problems in the past. Feedback page helps also.
Oct 03Reply

tgoode1
@tmi71710 and look out for scammers - some people will claim that they used a different shipping label to ship what was bought and they will use the original label to ship a "present" for you. I got some crap I never wanted and never got the skirt I bought (it was a lengthy conversation process with Poshmark explaining to them what happened to get my money back). In the end, they came through but what a headache it wad

My 14 yro dtr just got scammed by a person claiming to be 15. @kacier is her name. She was selling a box full of beads almost new. We got a beat up box with about 50 beads. I bought it through PayPal like an idiot. It's not about the money it was my 14 yro who was scammed
Oct 03Reply

kacier
@tmi71710 really... Why do you keep Doug this! I told you I didn't scam you all of the beads were shipped but fell out because I hadn't taped it appropriately I posted he picture Of the reciet to show I had to pay extra then 2 pound posh shipping because it was heavy with the beads. Also I asked you if you wanted a refund and I said I could give you 8$ but you continued on calling me an idiot and pathetic and saying I was raised wrong I'm 15 years old basically the same age as your daughter! It's sad that you would ever treat a person that way especially that I'm the same age as your daughter. I was MORE THAN HAPPY to help you when I heard what happend what when you started being disrespectful I asked you to apologize and hopefully we could work something out and you neer replied! What else can I do to make you happy? You insist I'm a scammer when I have explained you everything! And even offered a refund!
Oct 04Reply

kacier
@tmi71710 also you posted a picture of a clear plastic box when I sent you the beads in a blue plastic container with dividers. Then you switched your story by saying you only RECIEVEd half the beads... Now it's only 50... I should have taped the box better but I provided proof from the reciet and offered you a refund! What can I do to make you satisfied? And not not keep saying I'm a scammer when I am simply not !

@ire30 oh, I posted this listing a while ago. I had 2 bad experiences shipping to PO box addressees - they were not very reconsider and it took them a real while to get the shipment accepted. I think Poshmark shouldn't allow to ship to PO boxes. Also, if you want to grow your followers - just share other closets as much as you can.
Mar 30Reply

tgoode1
@ire30 I don't share as much now as I have my other business take priority but the more you share the more you sell. Let me know if you have any other questions, glad to help.
Mar 30Reply

gemfox
I think one possible solution is that when the USPS status goes to "available for pickup" then it should notify the buyer that their package has been delivered (at the PO box) and switch the Posh status to "awaiting acceptance". It would give the buyer 7 days to accept at that point rather than the 2 weeks USPS gives to pick up the package plus 7 days from Posh
Oct 19Reply

gemfox
Oops or is it 3 days they have to accept within before you get your money automatically...sorry for the goof
Oct 19Reply

tgoode1
@gemfox posh gives 3 days to accept. But when a package is delivered to PO box USPS doesn't mark it as being delivered - so you are really at the mercy of a buyer. I think Push shouldn't even allow delivery to PO boxes, just like FedEx and UPS.
Oct 19Reply

gemfox
Yes exactly. I have a package in limbo awaiting the customer to pick it up. Only then will it be marked "delivered" by USPS and consequently "awaiting acceptance" on Posh. I wish Posh would mark it "awaiting acceptance" when it's waiting for the customer to pick it up from their PO box because as you said, it could sit there for a loooooong time
Oct 19Reply

tgoode1
@gemfox I hope your buyer will pick up the package soon and everything gong will work out. It's frustrating to wait to get paid when we all work hard to make a sale.
Oct 20Reply

ktw8
Thanks for the tip! Have to watch out for those now!
Feb 09Reply

tgoode1
@ktw8 I haven't had any buyers with PO box address recently, so I am not sure if Posh still allows packages to go to such addresses. Going through buyer's 'about' page will also help to see how much they sold/ bought and how trustworthy she/he is.
Feb 10Reply

ktw8
@tgoode1 Oh thanks for another great tip! I just looked up Posh's Q&A and they are still supporting PO Box addresses.
Feb 10Reply

vintestry
@tgoode1 I sent my package to a PO box and it's sitting there for 3 days. Wish I would have read this before. Unfortunately I won't be sending to PO boxes as well. I'm a really fast shopper, my average is less than a day. It's just not fair.

Aug 07Reply

tgoode1
@soare I am sorry you have to experience this too. It's very unfortunate some people don't value our efforts and time. Plus, I always said that Poshmark shouldn't allow PO boxes as 'ship to' address - buyers in these cases are usually not very responsive.
Aug 07Reply

tgoode1
@soare Anyway, I wish you luck and hopefully you'll get paid soon. You can contact a buyer and ask him/her to accept the package through Poshmark app, some of them don't know exactly how the system works: they paid for an item and think that you got the money too, when in reality, you get paid only when they accept the package.
Aug 07Reply

tylerbrynn
I wish I saw this post sooner!! I shipped out a item last week and it's been sitting at a PO Box for 5 days now, I wish I knew of this beforehand. One question, if they pick it up from the PO Box will it be marked as delivered or not?
Sep 05Reply

tgoode1
@tylerbrynn hi there, I am so sorry about your negative experience. I am not really sure how it works with PO boxes. There are some with special services now where they mark packages delivered when people pick them up, others don't, so it all depends. You can contact the buyer and ask her/him to pick up the package from the PO box and explain the situation that you don't get paid until they accept the package through the Poshmark app.

Hi there! I’m going through this right now and just posted that I will cancel any orders with a PO BOX address. Ugh, this is horrendous! I wish they would put a stop to this.
Oct 16Reply

tgoode1
@sshelby121 hello back. I am so sorry you are having problems with this too. I haven’t seen too many PO addresses lately, so hopefully people are understanding the situation better. I think many new buyers do not know how sellers get paid and don’t pick up and accept packages through the system. Buyers pay immediately and don’t understand that sellers do not get paid until packages being marked received. Lot’s of educational points here.
Oct 16Reply

alexusgalvan
Out of curiosity, how do you know if it's a PO box? Cause I just realized I sent one to a PO box after shipping it already. Thanks😊
Oct 21Reply

tgoode1
@alexusgalvan you don’t know if it’s a PO box till a buyer pays and you get a label (where you can see that it’s a PO box address). Unfortunately for me, I had quite a few negative experiences with PO box addressees and that’s why I created this listing. Nowadays, there are different PO box addresses available with a real address ( and you won’t know if it’s a PO box) but I am not sure how Poshmark handles such transactions. I wish you luck with your recent sale and hopefully you’ll get paid.
Oct 21Reply

tgoode1
@alexusgalvan As I always say, it’s also an educational process for new poshers and our responsibility as seasoned poshers to explain how the system works to them. Happy Friday and Happy Poshing!

tgoode1
@cubanitatb hi there. I am so sorry you have to go through this too. I’ve been getting lots of messages on this listing recently, it seems to me that people might be either unaware of how Poshmark works or simply don’t care. I hope it’s the first, and not the second case. Please write to the buyer and explain how the payment in Poshmark app works and ask her/him to release the payment.
Oct 30Reply

tgoode1
@cubanitatb If the buyer is non responsive, please contact Poshmark and escalate the situation. I wrote to them several times, but it doesn’t look like they fixed this problem. Also, please be aware that some buyers might retaliate and be unhappy with you for asking to get paid - I had a few of those too. Don’t let them spoil your PM experience.
Oct 30Reply

lipsticknjeans
@tgoode1 thank you so much for reaching out. I will try that. 😊

OMG! I am experiencing this right now. I am a new Posher and didn't realize that this occurred with PO boxes. Its been 2 days since the package has been "delivered" and is awaiting pickup. It's my biggest sale to date so I am anxious to receive my money especially because I ship out same or next day. How long should I wait before contacting Posh? I just reached out to my buyer - waiting for their response. Will I get money? 😢 I think I will implement this policy going forward as well.
Nov 03Reply

tgoode1
@angieshavs i am so sorry you had to experience the not ‘so posh’ side of PM, especially as a new posher on the platform. I would suggest contacting your buyer and explain to him/her how the situation works here. They might be more responsive because some of them are unaware that you don’t get the money unless a package is accepted through the system. PM wasn’t very helpful in resolving my situation in the past.
Nov 05Reply

angieshavs
@tgoode1 thanks for responding! I reaches out to my buyer and she picked up her package and status changed to awaiting acceptance. She wasn't understanding the whole accept the package on PM thing 🤦🏼♀️ so I won't push it and just wait the 3 days... I need to make a listing stating no P.O. boxes and be done with it,
Nov 05Reply

housewifeval
Hi. I sold to a buyer who does not have a P.O. box but the package could not fit in her mail box so they left her a notice to pick up at post office. That was on 3/1 and now it is 3/13 and she still has not picked it up yet. I have politely messaged her and she has not responded. I don't want to bug her by messaging her again. If I let it go and she does not pick up and it gets sent back to me, can I relist it for sale? Or do I need to hear from her to confirm that she does not want it?
Mar 13Reply

tgoode1
@housewifeval hi there, sorry for responding late. Did your buyer finally pick up the package? If not, did it get returned to you? You absolutely can re-list the item. So sorry you have to go through this ordeal. I wish you the best and Happy Poshing.

I just sold a listing to a buyer with a PO Box. I commented immediately after her purchase that I’d pack her item & ship it the next day. The next day comes, I ship her package. She comments that it was an accidental purchase and to disregard her order. I told her I had shipped the item already and recommended that she contact Poshmark Support. Fast forward to today - her package has been sitting in her PO Box for 3 days. Has anyone had something like this happen? Is it a scam?
May 09Reply

tgoode1
@alohakristin hi there, it might be a scam - not sure; accidental purchases are usually reported immediately and not 2 or 3 days later. I would suggest contacting poshmark about this transaction.
May 09Reply

alohakristin
@tgoode1 I contacted Poshmark as soon as I received her comment about it being an accidental purchase. Posh Support said all sales are final, but that the buyer could re-list the item. 🙁
May 09Reply

alohakristin
@tgoode1 Poshmark sent another email that if the buyer hasn’t picked up her package by Sunday (5/13) to contact them again. So that’s promising! The buyer has since deleted her profile picture, but is still active on Poshmark. I’m never shipping to a PO box again.
May 12Reply

@tgoode1 I am going through this right now! I feel so dumb - I am newer to poshmark and have not had a PO Box sale before, so to my excitement I received a sale with 9 items bundled - I was so excited! Shipped it in less than 24 hours of course. Now I think I have been scammed :( it has been sitting at the PO Box or picked up and not accepted for over a week, and the buyer will not reply to me after trying multiple times.
May 17Reply

boutiquecuevas
@tgoode1 This is a horrible experience and truly making me want to stray away from Poshmark all together already, and it has only been a little over a month since I have been selling. I have tried to contact poshmark about it, but I get no response. Does anyone have any help they can offer? Will I just never get my funds released and 9 items from my boutique and closet are just gone for good? I'd appreciate any feedback! thank you all <3
May 17Reply

tgoode1
@boutiquecuevas hi there, i am very sorry for your trouble with the order. I say keep contacting Poshmark about your order to get their help on it. Also, don’t forget the buyer. Does the order say delivered? I am still surprised that Poshmark allows shipping to PO box addresses after so many stories with negative experience.

@sassychicmakeup I am having the same issue...accept I shipped to a residential address but the post office couldn’t deliver the item. Now it’s been sitting at the post office for a week and Poshmark isn’t helping me at all!!!! What can I do? I don’t have my BRAND NEW with tags LuLaRoe top nor do I have my funds. This sucks.
Jun 07Reply

moosetreausres
My buyer won’t respond either.
Jun 07Reply

tgoode1
@moose102308 hi there, so sorry for the trouble with this shipment. I would keep reaching out to the buyer and explain how the process works: that she needs to accept the shipment through the system as the money is not deposited to your account automatically, only after she accepts the shipment. And keep bothering Poshmark - I am still surprised they are not doing more to resolve such problems.
Jun 07Reply

moosetreausres
@tgoode1 I don’t understand it. I have reached out about 4 times explaining how it works to the customer. She has zero info on her account. It says she’s active within the last few days but she sure doesn’t respond to me. The post office has made numerous attempts as well.
Jun 07Reply

tgoode1
@moose102308 go on one of her listings and comment there . Does she have any active listings? You might lose a sale. If the package is not delivered within 30 days, i think PO will ship it back to you.

@tgoode1 hi! I just saw this because I just googled this subject! I sold a $5,000 Jacket to a lady with a PO Box. Today is day 4 and PM won’t release my money because tracker says “still shipment” even though it was delivered to her PO Box 4 days ago. She refuses to accept and release funds. I wonder if I just got scammed out of a lot of money because the tracker will never say “delivered.” Ugh!!!
Sep 15Reply

tgoode1
@ccbixler hi, I hope the buyer picks up the shipment and release the funds. I truly think that Poshmark shouldn’t allow PO Box assesses. I had several negative experiences and refuse to ship to PO address.
Sep 15Reply

Sales I will cancel any sale to a P.O. PERIOD
Sep 24Reply

michelleorona
google usps tracking and enter tacking number there-usps status will show “delivered” -if you go into the site and look for tracking history-it shows ready to be picked up-i asked the postmaster at local post office she said for box holders this is the final status and if the item is collected that status will not be updated-I emailed posh support also sent a screen cap with delivery status so that posh sees the post office considers “ready for pick up” as DELIVERED.
Sep 24Reply

tgoode1
@michelleorona yes, it will say delivered and if a buyer doesn’t pick up immediately, you as a seller have to wait 4 days (3 business days plus a day for the funds to get into your account) before you get your funds
Sep 24Reply

michelleorona
@tgoode1 maybe for mine postmaster said the status that I showed her from posh mark tracking as ready for pick up will not update so it can hang in that ready for pick up status indefinitely post office doesn’t scan it as picked up or delivered. Poshmark sees final status as ready for pick up indefinitely .. I’m saying that status to P.O. Boxes should start the 3 day clock .. currently it doesn’t

lilimcweezie
@tgoode1 Thanks for this post, a brand new buyer with nothing on her profile bought a rare pair of pants for a me last night and she has a PO Box. I've sent her two messages and she's not replying because they click buy and disappear, generally. Posh will release the funds after 72 hours though, correct? She is in Alaska so PO boxes are common. What to do...?
Oct 08Reply

tgoode1
@lilimcweezie following the tracking number and check when it gets delivered to the PO Box. If your buyer doesn’t accept the package through the system, send her a reminder through Poshmark. If nothing happens after that, start escalating the issue to Poshmark customer service. I am so surprised they still haven’t come with a solution to this problem. Let’s hope you have a responsible buyer.

@tgoode1 interesting read.. I have a PO Box for safety. I am only a few months on Posh and I have bought at least 20x's or more without incident. I don't understand. What is the buyer's loophole when using a PO box? thanks
Nov 26Reply

tgoode1
@cuteola4all hi there, thank you for your comment. Of course, not all PO Box holders are irresponsible, but I had quite a few instances when I had to ‘chase’ after buyers. When your sold items get delivered to PO Box, it doesn’t get marked as ‘Delivered’, till a buyer physically picks a package up. Depending on how responsible a buyer is, a package can sit at PO Box a day or a month.
Dec 01Reply

tgoode1
@cuteola4all And you have to constantly remind a buyer to go and pick up a package and accept it through the system. With PO Box delivery, you don’t have a window of 3 days till your money is released to you for your sold items. I hope it makes sense.
Dec 01Reply

@tgoode1 I literally was going to purchase two items from your closet and as I was looking for more to add, then I saw this post and although I understand, not all Poshmark shoppers are the same. I live in the country in South Texas and we all use PO BOXES to get our mail because the mailman does not deliver to our area. Thank you for your time
Dec 08Reply

missymenking
@tgoode1 I mean no offense to your post, I totally respect your choice. I am the posher that accepts before I receive my order if I can’t make it to my PO BOX. I am am also a seller and understand, when we shop in a timely manner, it’s respect to accept in a timely manner. I still would like to purchase those items, so I will ask my mother in law if I can use her address as an alternate. I’ll get back to you soon, thank you for your time, I appreciate it.

May I borrow this? (Screenshot the image and post to my page)? I’d like to let potential buyers know I have this same policy. Nothing like shipping out an item same-day as the sale then waiting 10 days for the buyer to pick up the item from their PO Box then finally get your funds released 😕

7 days. How is that possible?! Seems so unfair to sellers.
Mar 31Reply

tgoode1
@caseybutler79 I am sorry you have to experience it too. Please try reaching out to your buyer and explain to her/him the process. Sellers do not get paid if the package is not accepted, and if it’s sitting in at the post office or PO Box, the whole process is in limbo. Also, reach out to Poshmark and let you gem know about it. They really need to fix this issue. This is my most popular post here

@tgoode1 it’s so wrong. The buyer has been on posh since 2015. I’m sure she knows the drill. I did contact posh and they immediately emailed back and contacted the buyer. Hi @tgoode1 A lady just bought a bundle from me and she's been on posh since 2018 and has two purchases and sent feedback on both. She has a P.O. box but has not answered/acknowledged me after I thanked her for her purchase and told her I would be shipping items out today, no pic on profile and no items listed. I have an uneasy feeling.
Nov 14Reply

tgoode1
@kimle2082 that’s right. In a traditional PO Box setting, a package can be sitting there indefinitely till a buyer picks it up. Can be very frustrating if you are dealing with a slow responsive buyer.
Nov 16Reply

@mcbjewels you can send you another message to see if she responds. Even if she’s been on Posh for a while, she might not be active in buying and/or her notifications might be off as well.

Oh wow! I wish I would have found this thread before shipping to a PO Box! I just shipped last week and am dealing with the dreaded “available for pickup” but status is not showing as “delivered”. I contacted support, but after reading this I am pretty sure I already know what the response will be. This is extremely frustrating as a seller that PO Boxes create this much hassle and strain. Lesson learned I guess; doing your route from now on and no more shipping to PO Boxes.
Dec 01Reply

@jessica_lyn86 hi there, did you get your funds? I /so much for the best outcome. One if the ways is to always communicate with buyers ahead of time and explain to them how the system works. Some of them are unaware, although it is very frustrating to deal with PO Box addressees

I just wanted to thank you so much for posting this! Someone purchased my Louis Vuitton belt and the account seemed super strange. I go to print the shipping label and realize it’s a P.O. Box addressed to Todd Wilson. Meanwhile, the user on the account has the name Tylon Davis... super weird. Needless to say after reading this post and some of the comments I cancelled the order and reposted the listing to save myself from anything unnecessary.

@carlymamone I also try to engage in some conversation with PO Box addressees before I ship packages. This is just an extra layer of an insurance (of some sort) for me to see if a buyer is responsive. another thing to check - buyer's profile. So sorry to hear that your sale didn't realize, I wish you happy Poshing.

Completely agree, going through the same experience and I will definitely follow your advice wish I would have seen this sooner.

any advice would be greatly appreciated. :) I sold my LV purse over a week ago, I received an update saying it was accepted and authenticated by poshmark headquarters but hasn't moved since it saying when the package is picked up by the carrier and on its way to the buyer it will update again??? did I loose my money??

tgoode1
@sara_borrero I am so sorry you have to deal with this. I would start contacting Poshmark everyday. Ask them about the tracking number also. Do not let go of this issue until you get a resolution. I have been saying for so long that Poshmark should not accept PO Box addresses.
Jun 03Reply

tgoode1
@sara_borrero also, contact the seller and ask them if they received your purse. Please explain to them how Poshmark works and how they physically need to receive and inspect an item and receive it through Poshmark app/website, otherwise you won’t get paid. I also find that many new buyers have no idea how the app works and don’t know about the receiving feature through the app.

Hi, thanks for the information! I came across this thread as I was wondering if we, as sellers, can have a PO Box address as a return address when we ship our sales but then a different shipping address (a normal street address) when we buy an item. It looks like this is possible on our account settings page ("My Addresses"). Do you or anyone else do this? TIA
Jun 06Reply

tgoode1
@1posher2another that is a good question. I haven’t checked that option to see if it’s possible.

@vintestry I got a tip from a posher on Instagram to not ship the same day… because the buyer has 24hrs to cancel. If you ship the same day & they cancel the order, u may not get it back. She said she had problems w/ that. (I too used to ship same day)

this isn't fair. I've recently moved out of my mom's house to my dad's who lives in the country and doesn't have a shipping address but instead a po box. I buy all the time but now that I have a po box people won't accept my orders and it's not fair. makes me mad.

I'm confused, why does it matter of it is a P.O. Box if the funds are released after 72 hours...after 3 full days PM releases funds. Am I missing something? thanks
Jul 22Reply

marilynnbl
@lcm1717 that’s what I’m thinking too .. I wonder if it’s different for PO Boxes
Jul 22Reply

lcm1717
@marilynnbl yes, I read through this thread and it seems if something is delivered to PO Box poshmark doesnt recognize as delivered until they pick it up and sometimes the status does not change. the buyer has to accept order on poshmark for funds to be released. I'm not sure of I should send out order

@lcm1717 darn I shipped to a P.O. Box yesterday morning 😬 to Puerto Rico.. After I saw this I went back to the buyers page and there was a lot of sellers asking the buyer to pick up the package almost 8 days old and so forth! 🥴 the buyer would respond but took a while I’m assuming Bcus Not all PR has mailboxes …. I’m just gonna have to wait it out ..
Jul 22Reply

marilynnbl
@lcm1717 check the buyers profile to see if there has been issues .. or if the buyer even responds back …. My buyer had one pic on the profile and everyone was commenting all the issues or asking to respond on there
Jul 22Reply

marilynnbl
@joanofmart oh man good to know does this apply only to PO Boxes or in general ? I assumed the buyer had 3 hours to cancel
Jul 22Reply

lcm1717
@marilynnbl thanks, I checked the profile and completely empty. She has been on since 2018 and there are no welcome to poshmark messages which usually are. The meet your posher listing was just created on 7/14. This one seems off so I googled the name and city and another name came up with 4 alias names used including the profile name! 66yrs old but profile pic is super young ughhhh what to do?! lol
Jul 22Reply

lcm1717
@marilynnbl Yes I thought 3 hours too

@mcbjewels @lcm1717 this resembles your situation … I’m sure you will have to wait a bit before it’s accepted. I’m uneasy about mine it was a $380 purchase … if I would have known I wouldn’t have shipped mine out …
Jul 22Reply

lcm1717
@marilynnbl thanks, hopefully! I'm curious to know how your situation turns out!

lcm1717
@tgoode1 thank you for starting this thread, its pops right at the top on Google when you mention poshmark and PO Box address!
Jul 22Reply

tgoode1
@lcm1717 it is different with PO Boxes because Poshmark doesn’t who that it was delivered. It only shows it was delivered when a buyer picks up a package from a PO Box. I had packages sitting at PO Box for weeks before buyers picked them up. Very frustrating

@marilynnbl I hope you will have a better experience than I did. However, i always check the buyers profile before sending the purchase. Also, you can cancel the purchase before you shipped. You can also request more time before shipping it. However, once you ship it, you cannot cancel it.

@tgoode1 @lcm1717 Aw man… the package arrive Sunday morning and I messaged the buyer that her package was there for pick up to please confirm if she will be picking up soon I haven’t heard back from the buyer yet .. I will update you ladies and see how long it takes

lcm1717
@marilynnbl Hi so I think PM might have updated this issue. I had 2 PO Box purchases in a row. 1st one when I looked at my sales- it had the date of delivery! then after the 3 days it was marked delivered and $ deposited into account like other purchases that are not accepted. Maybe they had enough complaints and upped their policy? 🤞
I now today sent my 2nd one whos account seems a little off ....so well see. that one was a purchase over 200 so hopeful!
Jul 27Reply

marilynnbl
@lcm1717 I will keep checking I’m hoping that’s the case 🙌🏻

The buyer picked up the package from the post office and accepted it 🙌🏻

@lcm1717 keep me updated. It would be good to know that they changed the settings for PO Box
Jul 28Reply

tgoode1
@marilynnbl glad to hear that the package got picked up and everything fine. It would be good to know if Poshmark changed their policy. And if they did, this post might be irrelevant soon. Keep posted, ladies. And thank you very much for sharing your experience with me.

lcm1717
@tgoode1 Hi! so my second PO Box was again marked delivered on the day it was. The buyer (again) did not accept and after the 3 full days funds were deposited. They must of got too many complaints! I was nervous about that one because the profile was super sketchy.
Jul 31Reply

tgoode1
@lcm1717 yay, great to know that you got your money! I am going to send a message to Poshmark customer service asking them if they updated their PO Box policy. It is so surprising that this post gets lots of interest. Also, would be interesting to know other people’s recent experience with PO Box addressees

@tgoode1 thanks so much for making this post! I just averted what would have been a similar situation by following my intuition. Someone just bought a $220 pair of Birkenstocks from me. Their profile looked sketchy to me. No love notes given/received, only 2 reposhed pairs of Birkenstock’s they’ve sold. And they have a PO Box. I think they essentially scam pairs of Birkenstock’s off Poshers using the PO Box and reposh them, and Poshmark doesn’t do anything about it.

@elijahprophetic your intuition screwed you over. I purchased the shoes and my cc was charged. You told me you probably couldn’t ship until Tuesday which was fine. Now you cancel the order because I have a post office box?? I have purchased many items on poshmark and have always accepted them as soon as I could. What happens when you have pkg delivered and it is stolen from the steps or porch? That’s why I don’t ship to my home. Plus you say to “beware” of me. You are being ridiculous!

Is it OK to totally steal this!? I’ve been in the same boat.. people wait WEEKS to pick up their packages!! It’s ridiculous!

@beautyobsessed0 is it still happening? I made this post a while ago, not very active on Poshmark now. Very said. And yes, you can use it. Happy Poshing!!!

@tgoode1 Thank you so much for this thread that I found via a Google search. I shipped a bundle to a regular address but the customer has apparently asked the post office to hold her packages. The box has been there for almost a week. I reached out to the customer and she replied stating her post office has weird hours. So I just sent PM a message. Within minutes of sending the email to PM, the customer sent me a message telling me she went by there and the package isn't there. Sure Jan.

@selenabean23 thank you for your message. I made this post so long time ago (7-8 years ago) and am still very surprised that Poshmark did not act to made any possible solutions to avoid problems with PO Box recipients.

I just googled this because now I am having this problem as well. I have to email Poshmark when I see it has been delivered but PM is still giving them days it was actually delivered or telling me it has not been delivered and I need to message buyer to inform them so my 3 days can start and after they finally do pick up their package they do not rate me and I have to wait another 3 days. This is very frustrating when I ship next day.
Oct 28Reply

sc_nicole
@jeepmp I had a similar experience where the buyer says he never received so PM gave him a refund but it shows buyer requested it to be held at PO. I think this is being used as a loophole/scam.
Oct 28Reply

maureene08
@tgoode1 I agree, one bazillion percent. I’m going through this right now. Poshmark should consider them delivered. Once they reach the post office or the persons PO address. They should be considered delivered.

@maureene08 I hope you get the money released soon. It is very frustrating dealing with such situations. Good luck

If "ALL USPS" post offices would just mark "delivered to PO Box," even if it's held behind the counter for pickup like my USPS Post office does for my packages this wouldn't be an issue!
