Ok so I just need to post seeing that sooo many people are selling perfumes on here...the reason why you can't ship via USPS is because most of there items are flown...and someone disregarded the policy in the past and the 2 pilots lost there lives ..when the plane blew up!!!!.....when the contents in the perfumes are placed on industrial planes with over 200 degree temps...it can make for disaster....please stop....:(

gettumgirl @helloicu @bombona ...it's very unfortunate...that people are more concerned about there sales than people's lives...but here's the thing...even if the questions are never asked about what's in your containers....it's posted ..if the postal inspectors happen to open a box(and they can)..that happens to have perfume in it..it's a felony..not a misdemeanor ..so why chance it???

I get perfume as a "free gift" ALOT and I didn't buy it for a reason - being THIS POST - but people go to PO & the people ask if they have perfumes and they always lie and say no IT KILLS INNOCENT PEOPLE!!!! gettumgirl @phoebescloset11 ....jeri what's so frustrating about it...the facts are stated here...you being a flight attendant does not make it right to carry perfumes...this not something I made up!...it's the facts...why would you go against Posh policy and tell people not to listen ??...why would you do that...it makes no sense at all....it's evident you have been with PM..for a while..so that makes you a leader here in a sense...why would you put out that type of negative energy...and tell people not to listen?...Wow.....

phoebescloset11 You totally misunderstood me! I was directing my comment towards the ppl that fly. Not the ppl on here. I should have clarified that. I said thank you for posting bc I want ppl to know the dangers. I can't tell u what we go through (as flight attendants) acting like drill sergeants telling ppl to turn their electronic devices off, bring their seat backs up, BUCKLE their seatbelts (amazing how many ppl don't), not le t their children run up & down the aisle bc u honestly never know when turbulence will hit. These are very few of the MANY things we go through. I only met they don't listen. Even with perfume. They DO bring it on & they get away with it. Pilots & fight attendants do as well. We have a sight that is only for fa's & we hv complained about this issue a thousand times. Not only bc of the hazards but it also gives ppl headaches & makes them nauseous when it is sprayed. Selling it on PM I couldn't agree with you more. I've been in the industry for so long & know enough that until the airlines start doing something it nothing will change. I would say atleast 85 % of passengers have it packed & its in the belly or on their person. PM does little to nothing about NUMEROUS things. I feel like they are overwhelmed & selling perfume is the least of their worries (in my opinion). I wasn't trying to send out any negative vibes. It is unbelievably frustrating, it's been addressed time & time again throughout the industry. We feel we are beating a dead horse. I work for Continental & now we are going through a merger with United. Talk about knocking heads with each other. Beyond awful. Anyway, I DO appreciate u posting this & my apologies if it was taken out of context.

gettumgirl @angelleoni ...the answer is yes and no...if that perfume heated to the point of evaporation..it would have burst...the planes heat is not going to do part of the job...it will do it all the way...if that perfume was brand new..it should be all there...

whitneysays @gettumgirl So, can we just not use the posh shipping label and ship it ground through the usps? I had no idea about any of this until last night and have put my perfume items as "not for sale" until Posh support emails me back. I think if it can't be shipped with the Posh label then it should be on the list of things you can't sell unless we can ship on our own to make sure it's safe by ground transportation. Thank you for your help with this :)

ugentfurs I love that people are being defensive about this. Whether or not an airplane will explode makes do difference. If their box is opened on a check, their package will be confiscated and they will lose the money and product. xsugarplum The thing about a plane exploding makes zero sense. First of all the perfume would have to have broken and leaked everywhere and second of all if perfumes with alcohol were that much of a danger then why do they serve ALCOHOL on PLANES when you fly? Also you can 100% bring perfumes with you when you travel, you can even bring it in the actual cabin so long as it's in a ziplock bag because that crap is regarding risk for terrorism and not for any kind of risk regarding the alcohol content.

gettumgirl @xsugarplum ...it makes total sense...this is why when you go to the postoffice they ask you if are shipping perfumes...there is logic to the question...serving alcohol on planes is not the same as alcohol being put into compartments under the plane which sometimes reaches temperatures wayyy over the 100s...yes you can ship it...however it must go ground not priority where the pieces fly...

princesssangel people act surprised when posh literally says before you post a perfume “you’re not allowed to list this and if anything happens your account may be suspended” like these people are willing to put people’s lives at risk for a quick $20-$50 or whatever the dumb number is? SHIPPING A PERFUME ISNT WORTH THE RISKS GUYS.
