If you don't mind me asking, how long did it take for you to get your confirmed date and theme? I have a tentative date of 8/16 right now. Congrats again on hosting! angies_armoire Hey lady, I just wanted to pick your brian for a little info! LOL! We spoke earlier about me also co-hosting a party on 8/16. I receive the invitation via email and replied back with a very excited "yes"! and PM quickly responded with a tentative date of 8/16 and guidelines for me to follow. I thought I I replied back immediately saying that date would work for me, but relized the next morning that the email did not go through for some reason, so I replied again confirming the date. I haven't heard back yet and am starting to get nervous! Did it take them a while to confirm your date, after your accepted their "proposed date"? Also, were you invited and confirmed via email? Sorry, just feeling anxious and am wondering how it worked for you! I am bursting at the seams to announce it, but don't want to do so until they "confirm" the date they proposed! Thank you in advance for your input!

designhamptons @patricewymore You're so welcome! We are excited to have your item in the showroom. Host Picks are items chosen by the hosts to be featured in the Host Pick Showroom. You don't need to do anything! The night of the party we will share your item and hopefully your item and closet will benefit from the extra exposure. Each host is allowed a maximum of 200 host picks and millions of users are invited to each party. We did the Pinterest board as a new experiment on our part to try and help host pick closets benefit. If you choose, you can share your item and others on Pinterest, share the party with friends and followers and follow our social media accounts as we share your awesome closet! We chose to go the extra mile as co-hosts and we hope it benefits us all! :-)

angies_armoire Hey lady! I wanted to ask a fellow Posher who has hosted before, since I am hosting on 8/16.... Did your sales increase the weekend of your party. I am trying to decide if I can go out of town the day after my party. I would be going somewhere with very limited to no internet access and don't know if it's a good idea, as I do not want to miss out on any sales. What was your experience like? Did you sales increase much, or was it just like any other day? Your input is greatly appreciated! Loved all of your picks at your party!!!

designhamptons @angies_armoire It's funny you mention sales because we expected something totally different! I was very careful with my host picks and pre-party organization because I was sure the night of the party was going to be crazy. Instead it was the 24 hours pre-party that proved to result in the majority of sales for the weekend as well as followers. During the party itself the closet had no sales and the next day we had one or two. I had set the number of host picks at 200 per the email we received but it looks like that's more of a suggestion as I've seen other hosts share many more. I emailed and asked but haven't gotten a reply. If you are planning on picking your HPs beforehand you may want to check and see if the 200 is really maximum. I thought it would take the full 2 hrs to share but it didn't at all. There has been a problem during the evening parties with the system slowing down and for a while I couldn't get in my likes or closet which freaked me out completely! Picking the HP's beforehand was ideal for me because I could check the closets to make sure they didn't use PP or trade which is hard when you are sharing from the feed. I'm a stickler for the rules so I wanted to be sure I followed that email to the letter. Also, the items chosen out of our closet as host picks really weren't shared at all compared to the host picks in other parties which could have been a one off. Letting people know ahead of time that their item was going to be a host pick seemed to help their sales as I had 239 choices and by party time had 203 unsold. I think they did more promoting of their items and closets. More sales seem to be good for everyone! The day after we had a couple sales but nothing that I think would have not sold because I wasn't logged in. Also had a sale during the party and held it over the next day because I was too tired to change back the prices :-) and I don't think that helped much at all. We sold more before the sale and after. I think every party is different but if you get to go relax out of town after the party I'd say go for it. In the case of our party it was the days leading up to the party and right before that were crazy busy! Hope this long ramble helps! Feel free to email if you want! Designhamptons at yahoo.
