dbarn @maggie_pie I guess later really was later huh? Sorry I didn't get a chance to get back with you earlier it has been a busy day and when I left work my foot was hurting me so bad I had to come home and take a pain pill and of course that made me sleepy. About 3 1/2 weeks ago I fell trying to get in my car ( my nickname is Grace) and when I did my heel came out of my shoes (wedge heels) and my bare heel hit the concrete. A few days later a large blood blister came up and I did what most people do and a few days later my foot started swelling and was hot to the touch but hey gave me an antibiotic and wrapped it up. This went on for three weeks until I went to a foot dr who debrided a place almost the size of my heel. They just can't get the infection gone. I'm on the 3rd round of antibiotics so hopefully between that and the procedure we will start seeing some improvement. I've been off of it most of the weekend because I had an epidural so we used that as an opportunity to kill 2 birds with one stone! I stayed off most of the weekend and went back today and by the time I got off it has been giving me fits. So it is going to be an early night tonight. I appreciate you asking. I didn't have a clue what you were talking about! I'm one of those people who you can look at and read their book. I'm the most transparent person you would prob ever meet. Keep me in your prayers! I appreciate all the prayer I can get!!!

maggie_pie @dbarn oh Denise, what a terrie thing to happen to you! I will indeed keep praying for you! I only ask about the diabetes, because it makes healing much more difficult, especially in the legs and feet. It also makes it easier to get infections like the one you describe. But your blood sugars are normal when you go to the doctor, right? Not on the high side? How often do you change the dressing? What are they having you do? (If you don't mind my asking) did the dr have you keep your foot up on pillows at night and while resting? Please DO make SURE that you REALLY REST yourself...so your body can use its energy healing. I don't want you to get worse! Btw...don't know if I told you or not...I was a surgical intensive care RN...until I hurt my back that is. I'm a little worried about your foot...and you! You seem like the kind of gal who rarely slows down...am I right?? ;)

dbarn @maggie_pie haven't forgotten you on the story just haven't had time cause it can be lengthy although I'll try and give you the condensed version. I will try and do that tonight or tomorrow. With me being down yesterday I have a lot of catching up to do today!!!! It is bad when you can't have the "luxury" of having a migraine! lol!! I have been swamped too...my son had a meltdown both yesterday and the day before...his OCD is sometimes such a bear! And I was at the hospital thismorning to see another specialist. dbarn @maggie_pie things are better today. It is more just achy today. So I'm on the road to mend. Sorry to head about your son. How old is he? I have a son that has had severe add all his life ( he is 24 now) and it has been one struggle after another, but God has brought us through them all. The only issue now is that he can't find a job.. He's had a part time job over the summer at he lake but once Memorial Day is over so will his job and he is very down about because it took him 2 years to find that one.
