This means that you can pick up FREE boxes at your local post office or have them delivered right to your home by ordering them on www.usps.com . They come in a few different sizes so you can pick the one that fits your item best. Just remember, and this is important! You need to get the ones that say just “Priority Mail” on them. “Priority Mail Flat Rate” and “Express Mail” boxes are NOT allowed. And yes, standard brown boxes that you have lying around the house works just as well!"

ljwilliams18 @kimberdesu I just emailed them about an hour ago- so very recently. Good to hear that they usually respond fast! The seller of my item offered $27 off of anything to me in her closet, which was nice. But she said she used the same type of box that she always does, and couldn't imagine that it would have weighed over the limit.

smbjork I shipped in a "priority EXPRESS" envelope in the past & called the PO in the buyers town, explained the mix up & both times they were very nice and sent the package out free of charge to the buyer. I suggest using old boxes and making sure you never use any envelope or box from the PO that says EXPRESS. If you to your local PO they should be able to give you a slew of appropriate envelopes and boxes in different sizes to keep on hand free of charge!

beckyjean101 Sorry I know this is an older thread, but this just happened to me as a buyer. I had to pay $45.10 to accept a package from a seller. This doesn't seem right. I paid the agreed-upon amount for the items and to have to pay an additional $45 really irks me. The seller put 5 lbs on the label but it actually weighs 16 lbs 6oz! Do I have any recourse? I could have refused the delivery but that seems like a waste of the original postage & USPS resources.

elishat78 Why doesn't USPS make their Express boxes more unique!!??? And how can usps charge for express mail when they didn't deliver it express. in my case, the shipping took 6 days after receipt to get it to my PO.

eclecticetc My package was short $66 something dollars! a total of $73 something postage 😩 I paid $45 for the item, never imagined the postage would be more than the actual item 🙈 I emailed PM, I have no idea what will happen.

sw3etpea Poshmark is completely ignoring me. They only offered to pay ~$7 out of a total of $30.99. The seller accidentally sent the package in express mail packaging. I am so angry at Poshmark now for just ghosting me after I refused their $7 resolution. I do not understand why they thought that was the fair reimbursement for an error that I did not make. The item I purchased cost $30! And I am to pay another $30 to fix a seller’s error?!
