May 01Reply

peacockowls
Oh that's good to know! They are so pretty! I'd buy a newer squash blossom that was made by the original craftsmen. The vintage ones are soo pricey. I didn't mean to mislead anyone. I have seen many replicas that's are made in Mexico or China because the originals go for 1000's of dollars. But thanks for clearing that up.
May 01Reply

jewelrywhores
@peacockowls yes they are new idk where on my post it says vintage but thanks
May 01Reply

yolita03
Yes please
May 02Reply

waynerl
@peacockowls Since this is German silver, it wouldn't be made by a Native American. They only work in Sterling silver. German silver is 60% copper, 20% nickel and 20% zinc and given the name because of its "silvery" appearance, but it contains no elemental true silver
May 28Reply

jewelrywhores
Yes it's made for German sliver of you want to talk to the Indian that makes them here on the Zuni tribe I'll ask them to contact you if your planning on buying if not please don't try to discourage people for buying my stuff I wouldn't do that to you there 100% Indian made in German silver because sterling is so expensive that the can't afford to make them any more

peacockowls
@waynerl wow interesting. I wonder why is it so expensive? I'f It's not even genuine silver? I know turquoise in inexpensive since I make jewelry myself, but since it was cast and poured by somebody of a certain culture, it makes it more valuable? I'd love to see some footage of the tribe that is making these! That's would be really interesting to me. Would def probably ad value.
May 29Reply

jewelrywhores
@peacockowls like u said if it was sterling it would cost about 2500$ and the price reflects on the quality and how long the take to hand make and as a jewelry maker you would know that they shut down the sleeping beauty turquoise mine last year and its practically priceless but thanks for interest I hope u buy soon happy poshing !!!!'
May 29Reply

premier
Are these done in sterling? Is there an makers mark or Indian signer on them? If so who makes them or what or the makers marks or initials? TY😊

Hi ma’am do you still have the white buffalo?!
Aug 10Reply

safariroadgirl
@waynerl I am a dealer. The native Americans commonly work with “nickel silver” which is the same thing as German silver. Just different terminology. Nickle is much cheaper and the only way many can afford to do their artwork.
