Here are photos of some of the animals I have helped since moving to Mississippi last year through rescue, spay/neuter, foster, transport, adoption, or all of the above! Between feeding my 7 pets and neighborhood strays, spay/neuter surgeries, flea & heartworm meds, vet visits and transport, this labor of love can get pricey! Posh has helped me supplement my income with a little 'extra' money, helping me do more for the pets in my community. Thank you for shopping my closet!

I worked at a TNR clinic before I moved to Mississippi, but unfortunately there aren't many animal-related jobs here. But the animals showing up at my door keep me pretty busy 😊

treegasm @pickletoes if I may recommend, I work at petsmart. I don't know if there are any in your area, but I can safely say that every person I have ever known who works there has a love for animals and their welfare. If there's a petsmart in your area id definitely recommend applying! :)

pickletoes @treegasm I take all of my animals to Banfield at the local petsmart and have nothing but great things to say about it and the employees. They see me a lot and always remember me and my pets! If I didn't have an awesome job that centered around my other passion (healthy clean eating) then I would love to work there! I have definitely applied in the past.

pickletoes @treegasm It's true, and it helps animals because clean eating is plant-based eating! I always promote a plant-based vegan diet and the co-op I work for doesn't sell any products tested on animals. I feel pretty lucky.

The entire world would benefit from a meat-free diet, but it's engrained in American culture, but I'm willing to fight!! 👊

I'm the biggest animal lover, I have two puppies myself and my neighbors already make fun of me because I called the cops twice, once for a little chipmunk that got caught in my rain gutter and then a wounded deer that was limping badly and was just too exhausted to walk. Since I'm from Germany I didn't know if they have an animal rescue here in the States and my neighbors weren't really helpful either with giving me advice who to contact, so I called the police and told them that I'm really sorry but I didn't know who else to call. I just couldn't live with knowing that these animals needed help and nobody else cared and that I would appreciate any advice. They were sending a car over and actually saved the little chipmunk and they called an animal rescue to take the deer. Really nice cops, they actually laughed and told me that this was the nicest call they got that day! I wish more people would care! You really have my respect for what you are doing! The police here are irritated with me because they don't care about animals 😞 It's hard living in the South because animals are treated very poorly, but I know that I am needed most here. I've convinced most of my friends to adopt rescue animals and a few of them have stopped eating meat! It's a start 😉

mica_craft Warms my heart when I see someone else crazy about animals. The wind knocked a squirrel best out of the tree with two newborns. Did not have eyes open. I brought them in made a nesting place in a large bird cage. They are getting big and so funny to watch. I also raised two doves that were newborn. They sit on your shoulder and watch tv. That's just a few. I love all animals. Keep up the good work😃

jonnieq I am in south Orange County! We do mostly cats and small dogs. My big dog fosters have all relocated! :( I would save them all if I had fosters or a big sanctuary. My DREAM is to walk into a high kill shelter and walk out leaving them empty! I pull mostly from high kill shelter Downey in LA. Everyone please consider becoming a foster for a local rescue and help save a life! The LA county shelter systems puts to sleep over 3 million animals a year, that's only the 7 county shelters, there are plenty more city shelters that kill too! Dreamanimalrescue.org

daisypark @pickletoes I LOVE that u do this. I have 5 rescue dogs, & help with the shelters here. I'm in South FL, so we have the Miami Dade Animal Services (MDAS), which is a very high kill shelter 👎👎😔😔 So I help network with a group called Miami Dogs on the Move (on Facebook), & they have transported hundreds of dogs that were on the euth list to states all over the US... 👍👍 I used to donate a lot, but then lost my job (which is why I'm on here, trying to sell things to have extra $$ for bills).. But it's good to see another animal lover on here who really cares 🐶💜

lostandfawned We are lucky to have them! I swear our newest guy has more love in him than any dog I have met. You can tell he didn't have it easy and he is just over the moon about his cozy home, regular meals and his people. Haha. Rescues are the way we will be going for life.

pickletoes @baraness I'm not sure! He was dumped on the side of the road with his siblings and was adopted quickly so I haven't seen his parents and haven't received an updated picture on what he looks like now. He definitely looks like he could be part Doberman though!
