Oct 08Reply

bhwardrobe@fanycis Sorry love! I tagged the wrong one :P. Fancy...

Oct 08Reply

bhwardrobe@fanycis Sure, you can feel free to e-mail me.

Oct 08Reply

bhwardrobe@arihix Date codes are two letters and 3-4 numbers depending on the year that it's made. Please see above for your reference.

Oct 13Reply

bhwardrobe@arihix If there's no letters, than it should only be 3 numbers.

Oct 13Reply

bhwardrobe@arihix LOL! You can feel free to sell it. I don't have a problem with anyone selling reps as long as the buyer is honest like how you are honest 💝.

Oct 13Reply

phykrist3@bhwardrobe hi! Would you help me authenticate a cles? I'm lil suspicious and don't want to accept the package yet. What is your email so that I can forward you the pix

Nov 01Reply

summershahCan u help me with a LV neverfull azur pls I'm going to do a transaction the receipt is from Paris but according to ur date code SD is USA can u help me pls first time buying LV. 😩

Nov 05Reply

bhwardrobe@summershah Hello! The date code (SD####) has to match the heat stamp (Louis Vuitton Paris Made in U.S.A.) or cloth tag (for Neverfulls produced this year). It does not have anything to do with where the product was purchased. Hope that helps :)

Nov 05Reply

summershahIf u don't mind can I email u the pictures pls

Nov 05Reply

bhwardrobe@summershah Sure, that's no problem, but I highly recommend that you refer to PurseForum.com

Nov 05Reply

summershahWhat am I suppose to do there ?

Nov 05Reply

bhwardrobeThere are senior authenticators who can help you authenticate the item you're looking to buy. Go to PurseForum.com, click Louis Vuitton, click Louis Vuitton Shopping, and click Authenticate this LV.

Nov 05Reply

summershahI send u couple of pictures can u pls look at it 🙏🙏

Nov 05Reply

bhwardrobe@baglover1973 Actually, she did buy that bag from another posher who has the same pictures. That one is ok but there are red flags on the authenticity. She stole pics of the designer cupcakes. I didn't check on others.

Nov 05Reply

bhwardrobe@baglover1973 lol I thought like you. Buy it, restore, and resell haha. I'm so sorry to hear that it wasn't in great condition. Almost seemed like it's not worth it. Glad that you were able to return it :).

Nov 08Reply

bhwardrobe@baglover1973 I'll definitely send someone who's interested your way :D

Nov 08Reply

bhwardrobe@baglover1973 LOOOL It's that bad huh? That's so unfortunate >_>...

Nov 08Reply

cbeauty@bhwardrobe hi dear, I was wondering if you can help me with the date code. VI2121. VI is France, what does 2121 mean here when it's purchased in 2009? Much appreciated!!! 😘😘

Nov 08Reply

bhwardrobe@cbeauty Made in 22nd week of the year 2011. That is a big red flag because they are never made after the date of receipt. Are you referring to the LV DE Saleya MM? I have always seen the date code for the bag to be FL, not VI.

Nov 08Reply

cbeauty@bhwardrobe yes dear! That's the bag. Saleya MM damier ebene. I found it here on posh. Hmmm so it's fake :(

Nov 08Reply

bhwardrobe@cbeauty Can you forward the pics to my e-mail at BeyondHerWardrobe @ gmail that the seller sent you?

Nov 08Reply

cbeauty@bhwardrobe I just sent u the pics. thank u so much!! 👍👍😘😘

Nov 08Reply

bhwardrobe@cbeauty Oh dear, I just saw that one pic to determine that it is 100% fake.

Nov 08Reply

cbeauty@bhwardrobe urghh how could she say 100% authentic and money back guarantee when it is fake!!! Its so hard to determine :( I am soooo glad I asked you about it. Thank youuu sooooo muchhh!!! 😘😘😘

Nov 08Reply

cbeauty@bhwardrobe Ohhh and she claimed she doesn't sell fake items!!! 😡😡

Nov 08Reply

bhwardrobe@cbeauty If you search "Louis Vuitton Saleya", she bought it from someone else. She also stated "preowned" as well. I'm sad because technically, the seller was scammed by the original owner...

Nov 08Reply

cbeauty@bhwardrobe sighhh so sad!! Feel bad for those who paid so much for fake ones. Thank u dear for your help!!! :)

Nov 08Reply

bhwardrobe@pamelam Can you tag me where it shows the pic of the date code?

Nov 15Reply

bhwardrobe@pamelam You're very welcome!

Nov 18Reply

bhwardrobe@lipstickchichi Please look at the date code for your reference. A date code never has more than 4 numbers.

Nov 19Reply

bhwardrobe@accessoriesj For your reference hun :)

Nov 21Reply

aidaeaton@bhwardrobe first of all I think it's absolutely amazing how you help us less knowledgable creatures with your LV knowledge. I was wondering if you could help me with melissauy closet it's a blue epi wallet.

Nov 28Reply

bhwardrobe@aidaeaton Hello! First, I want to apologize for replying so late. I didn't have the time to take a look during the Thanksgiving week. I did see that you puchased something else, but the LV Blue Epi Wallet is authentic :).

Dec 04Reply

aidaeaton@bhwardrobe oh no worries at all! Thanks anyway ☺️💛

Dec 04Reply

emmysbaby1Hey girl random question but how do you take care of your lv brass hardware like cleaning wise

Dec 21Reply

bhwardrobe@emmysbaby1 I use a special cloth, made in Japan, that can clean almost all material including silver, brass, gold, platinum, and etc.

Dec 21Reply

emmysbaby1Do you by chance have the name off hand I just want to make sure my brass doesn't Rust during the winter season

Dec 21Reply

furflies@bhwardrobe Hey hun I've got a quick question. The bag charm codes aren't listed here are they? My Eclipse which I know is authentic is CX1111. Where's CX?

Jan 04Reply

bhwardrobe@furflies No, it's not listed. I list these date codes that are based on print for handbags, wallets, and accessories such as cosmetic bags, pochettes, and etc. :)

Jan 04Reply

furflies@bhwardrobe If I get the bag charm with my credit card F&F what do they charge me do you know? I was going to wait until next Friday but if it's not that much I could get it with my cc.

Jan 04Reply

bhwardrobe@furflies It's 2.9% + 0.30 cents. No worries. I'll hold it for you longer. It's a lot for fees.

Jan 04Reply

furflies@bhwardrobe Well I still plan on Friday but may be sooner if it's only like $10.50 or something.

Jan 04Reply

bhwardrobe@furflies Don't worry! Save that $10 :)

Jan 04Reply

jesuslover7777This is awesome!!! Thx u for posting doll 😘👍

Jan 08Reply

sgaines11@bhwardrobe -- if a date code has ST1123 would that be considered authentic? Not seeing ST as a location for stamp

Jan 09Reply

bhwardrobe@tracynavas

Jan 10Reply

justarnileThis is great!!

Jan 11Reply

bhwardrobe@sgaines11 Can you tag on the listing?

Jan 11Reply

sgaines11@kt4rest the bookbag

Jan 11Reply

bhwardrobe@justarnile Please look at the listing. SD5102 reads 50th week (Dec 10 - Dec 16) in 2012.

Jan 11Reply

sgaines11@bhwardrobe the other pics were emailed to me

Jan 11Reply

bhwardrobe@sgaines11 Can you create a listing of those and tag me there.

Jan 11Reply

justarnileHmmm interesting. Idk if I'm understanding how to read the listing :/ @bhwardrobe

Jan 11Reply

bhwardrobeThe first listing shows how to read date codes. Since the handbag is made after 2007, the 1st & 3rd digit is the week and 2nd & 4th digit is the year. Because it's a monogram, SD corresponds to Made in USA for the heat stamp.

Jan 11Reply

sgaines11Ok

Jan 11Reply

Jan 11Reply

acarlos922Hello, I have a question. I am looking at a keepall 60 on cl and everything looks good to me. Was just wondering about the code. It's an older bag and on one inside handle flap it has SA and on another flap on the same side it has the letters 052. Is this a common thing in vintage bags? To have the code on 2 seperate tabs? Thanks in advance

Jan 12Reply

bhwardrobe@acarlos922 052 does not make sense for vintage. Practically, it's interpreted as made in Feb 2005. I would definitely not buy. I've seen them on the same tab and especially when the letters and numbers are not on the same line.

Jan 12Reply

acarlos922Thank you!! He says he bought it in 1982.

Jan 12Reply

bhwardrobe@acarlos922 The date code should be 82(another # from 1-9). The bag doesn't like about its age haha :)

Jan 12Reply

bhwardrobe@acarlos922 Oops, I meant "lie"

iysh@marly911 perfect!!!!! 👍👍

Jan 12Reply

marly911@iysh that green vermis shouldn't me made in France according to this and I think should have a heat stamp. Hhhhmmm

Jan 12Reply

iysh@marly911 hmmmmm... She may still be able to get her money back!

Jan 12Reply

bhwardrobe@marly911 @iysh Can you tag me on that listing?

Jan 12Reply

iyshJust did! Sorry, added your name back to my list 😉

Jan 12Reply

acarlos922Thanks so much for your help

Jan 12Reply

bhwardrobe@marly911 I might have forgotten to add it so I'm going to look into it further and let you know if it's valid.

Jan 12Reply

marly911Thanks @bhwardrobe also check to see if it should have a heat stamp or tag.

Jan 12Reply

bhwardrobe@marly911 Thank you so much for letting me know. I need to correct it and add the MI to the Vernis. It was my error that I overlooked.

Jan 12Reply

iysh👍👍👍

Jan 12Reply

bhwardrobe@marly911 @iysh To be honest, the LV Vernis Reade PM looks ok. However, the seller has a mixture of authentic and fakes in her closet.

Jan 12Reply

colette123Is HL a valid city?

Jan 20Reply

colette123I meant country sorry

Jan 20Reply

bhwardrobe@colette123 No, it's not. Are you by any chance referring to the LV Tivoli?

Jan 20Reply

bhwardrobe@colette123 Nvm, I see that you inquired for the LV Black Multicolore Pochette. That is 100% fake.

Jan 20Reply

colette123Thanks, wasn't sure!

Jan 20Reply

aramiixoI just bought a LV wallet on here. The date code is TN1102. I don't see TN listed up there. The print is damier azur.

Jan 30Reply

bhwardrobe@aramiixo Can you tag me the listing? Before TN was for Mahina line but can be expanded to other lines. The list is not exhaustive.

Jan 30Reply

bhwardrobe@aramiixo That is authentic. No worries :).

Jan 30Reply

aramiixoPhew! Thanks! Love your posts btw

Jan 30Reply

bhwardrobe@aramiixo Thank-you for letting me know! I will update as I go :).

Jan 30Reply

gamez112387Question-there's a LV never full I'm interested in on craigslist I can upload pics. She says there is no date code inside. I spoke with LV and they said it can be difficult to find but if there isn't now that doesn't mean it's not authentic. I'm not sure what to do. Help!!!

s1ppiIs it true that the LV wallets prior to 2007 didn't have date stamps? I thought they did.

Feb 25Reply

bhwardrobe@s1ppi Definitely not true. LV wallets do have date codes prior to 2007.

Feb 25Reply

s1ppiThanks! I hate when ppl tell stories😡

Feb 25Reply

bhwardrobe@s1ppi I agree. I hate it that when the fake LV wallets don't have date codes, they would swear that their LV is real and doesn't have a date code because it's "vintage".

Feb 25Reply

s1ppiIf you only could have a quarter for every time I use this as my ref lol!!!! It's a life saver, thanks for doing it.

Feb 25Reply

bhwardrobe@s1ppi I've used other references but it's always a bit much to read through so I tried my best to condense the info and make it simpler to read for myself. Of course, I would love to share it with anyone else too :)

Mar 19Reply

acarlos922Hello, I was wondering if I could use your expertise to help me authenticate a bag I'm thinking of purchasing? It's a neverfull GM damier ebene from cl.

Mar 22Reply

bhwardrobe@acarlos922 I'm no longer authenticating local sales so it's better if you seek professional authenticators such as PurseForum.com, CarolDiva, Authenticate4you, or MyPoupette.

Mar 23Reply

acarlos922No problem :-) thanks anyway

Apr 03Reply

bhwardrobe@gots2bbrittani You're welcome! She can say all she wants but date codes don't lie. She didn't even say it's authentic on the title or description so most likely, it must be a gift or bought pre-owned.

Apr 03Reply

gots2bbrittani@bhwardrobe yes that's so true! I'm going to look at this every time! Your awesome:)

Apr 03Reply

Can u pls help me. Thanx.

Apr 12Reply

bhwardrobe@jessica2505 Hello! I may be able to help you. Please make a listing of clear photos of the item and include all LV makings. Tag me when you're ready.

Apr 13Reply

clarkrn@bhwardrobe - Hi there. I am so glad you found my listing and shared it. That led me to look at your closet and stumble upon this little gem of information. I deleted my listing of my mini multicolored speedy. It was a gift given to me roughly 10 years ago. It came with a box, dustbag, a gift card that me ex-boyfriend at the time should have written in as well as the pretty purple ribbon on the outside of the box. He purchased it in Chicago. I can't find the date code which is why I deleted the listing. I do not condone selling fakes on PM. How do I find out if it is authentic? I assume it's not 😔

Apr 22Reply

clarkrn@bhwardrobe - OK just found the date code. The bag is just so small! Haha!!! Still glad I saw this

Apr 22Reply

clarkrnSorry. I am probably making you regret sharing my listing but I have a question. If the locket says made in France and the date code is TH 1008. Does that makes sense? I can barely make out where it should be stamped inside with Louis Vuitton because this bag had been used quite a bit back when I was in college. TMI, I'm sure. I just want to know if I can relist it. Sorry to be such a pain

Apr 22Reply

bhwardrobe@clarkrn Hello! Please take clear photos and tag me on the listing so I can take a look.

Apr 22Reply

clarkrn@bhwardrobe - evidently poshmark found a "validation error" with my listing of the bag. I'm going to email customer service. I don't know why. But anyway, it turns out the 8 is a 3 which makes sense because I received the bag at Christmas in 2003.

Apr 22Reply

bhwardrobe@clarkrn I recommend if you try to name it differently like "Showing for a friend" and a different category. :)

Apr 22Reply

mzmcclure1Thank you 😍😍💓💓👍👌

bhwardrobe@mzmcclure1 You're welcome!

May 08Reply

mjgabbyDoes a LV bag looses it's value if the date code is removed??

May 11Reply

bhwardrobe@mjgabby It should not lose that much value if the date code is removed. However, the only main problem is the concern of authentication. There are LV authenticators who can authenticate LV without date codes.

May 12Reply

mjgabbyOk thank you soo much that helped a lot. ☺️

May 13Reply

bhwardrobe@jessicapacz Sure, what's your question?

May 19Reply

bhwardrobe@jessicapacz What country is it made in?

May 19Reply

bhwardrobe@jessicapacz There are older Speedys that are made with fabric material in the inner pocket. Besides the heat stamp and date code, the main areas to check for authenticity is the size underneath the leather tab with the heat stamp on it, the amount of stitching at the base of the handles, stitching exterior to the inner flap, and the LV logo on the base of the zipper pull.

May 20Reply

bhwardrobe@jessicapacz I'm glad that you did that so that it will give you a peace of mind :). You're welcome!

May 20Reply

bhwardrobe@addicted2louie I've never seen a bag charm with a clasp like that and the LV logo doesn't look right.

Jun 05Reply

bhwardrobe@addicted2louie I'm so appalled. We wouldn't even have this problem if there were so many fakes here. I'm so sorry my friend.

Jun 05Reply

bhwardrobe@addicted2louie I was upset when I bought $50 earrings here and the seller didn't packaged it properly so it arrived broken. So I contacted Posh since they cover damaged goods, but they wanted me to release the payment and accept a $15 credit.....wow....smh. I was furious, and I told them that I will not authorize to release payment.

louisvuittonbag@bhwardrobe Hello! Love this post btw and your own about receipt and date code doesn't mean it's 100% authentic! Just thought I'd also point out the DK date code, I'm sure you're familiar with it but if not, it's given to bags that have been re-lined by Louis Vuitton. Just thought I'd throw that in there :)
