missrochelles @louthao - the buyer pays for shipping. All we have to do is print out the label then ship! It's very easy! Plus when you list an item it will tell you what your earnings will be after the commission is taken out. Most consignment shops charge 40% so considering how easy PM makes selling its great at 20%!! 👏👏👏Just be sure to use priority boxes that aren't flat rate or regional rate. You'll get the hang of it!! I'd be happy to help you thru how to bundle & how to ship too 😘😘😘

missrochelles @louthao - hooray on your first listing!🎉🎉🎉 You may want to model it. Things sell faster when modeled. I need to work on this myself! Lol. When I list things I usually look sloppy so I don't want to show myself!!! Hahaha. Also you may want to list the measurements and add more pics. Like close ups etc 😍😍😘😘😘 Also you can share it to Twitter & IG to get more exposure. Just be sure to follow the guidelines for what to list then in a week or so ill promote you if you'd like 😘😘😘 Also once you get more items, list your own items at least 3 times daily to help sales. I would also love to help you get your first host pick! It's a really exciting thing. But just be patient & then you will be promoted soon!! 🎉🎉🎉 You will just love PM!!! We are like a family on here that supports each other through good times & bad. Feel free to check my closet pics out. I didn't model my clothes at first, but I have noticed how much more interested people are in your clothes if they can see how it actually fits the body. missrochelles @louthao - Some new ones offer Paypal & actually list things like baby clothes, perfume, used makeup, horrible items much worse then that. Ive even seen a hamster cage with live hamsters!!! Lol. Household items like toasters, cell phones etc are on here too. You'd be surprised!!! But if u follow Posh rules you will get support & help.... Which I'm sure you will 👏👏👏

Just a clear pic with the item modeled (if possible) then just as long as you have an item that fits the theme I can help you tag the co host to have your item considered 😘😘😘 Will you be listing other clothes & shoes also? The more variety you have to sell in your closet the better. That way you can attend more parties!🎉🎉🎉 that's a good way to get followers more quickly. I'm so happy to have you with our Posh family!!

victoriasecret_ @missrochelles @queenmumm HI, it's me again. I have a question for the two Poshmark Gurus :-) Somebody told me that you should post your item to the party only once. So no matter how many times you or somebody else will share your item to the party, it will appear there only once. Is it really how it works? Thanks.

queenmumm @victoriasecret_ Your item will only post once into the master Party feed. Hence, when they say 230,000 listings shared to Party X, they mean 230K items, listed ONCE. After that, any additional shares will only go to whomever is following that specific sharer. So if I share it for you during the party, it goes to my followers. If Rochelle shares it, it goes into her followers' feeds. The exposure is still great and exponential, but it goes into that master feed just that once. It is a good idea to still have sharing going on during and after the party, since online usage tends to peak during party times PLUS a few hours before and after.

queenmumm @victoriasecret_ WHOEVER shares your item FIRST to the party gets it into the master party feed. After that, the shares go to individual feeds for your followers only. Hence, when Poshers are away from their computer on any given evening, they sometimes will ask another Posher to share their closet during the party. This insures it gets into the master feed, even if the seller doesn't make it online that night.

victoriasecret_ Sorry for the delayed reply, we have couple inches of snow here in New York and it seems like entire city is paralyzed (took me 4 hours to get home last night), terrible. I'm really embarrassed to admit that I don't quite understand how IG and twitter work for selling stuff. It's not a Marketplace like posh, so I would have to search for followers who are potential buyers. And with the twitter, after I get followers I have to tweet constantly promoting my store there. That's my understanding, maybe I'm wrong. :-)

Some great closets to check out for tips are @mizfabulousity @enigma @queenmumm - just to tag a few😘😘 it's best to model your items...... Something I need to work on!!! Lol. missrochelles @ambrugioni - sharing to parties is easy. Just stick to the theme. You can RSVP but its not mandatory 💁 So when the party starts just share like normal but make sure it says "share to party" There's 2 shares .... One to followers & one to the party. missrochelles @ahollin2 - Trading is not supported by Posh. Meaning that if anything goes wrong they aren't responsible..... Say if the other person never ships you the item you cant complain or get posh to back you. I don't trade and neither do most of the top Poshers. If a persons decides to trade they are also not able to be a part of the parties & have a host pick from them. So the answer is basically its not a good idea😘😘

missrochelles @singli1 - No problem!! We were all new once! Lol. Just edit the item & put the price you agreed on. She will purchase it & it will say sold afterwards. Then all you need to do then is go to your computer & print out the printing label. Wrap the item up all pretty with bows, ribbon, etc & either put a thank you card or a thank you note in the box. Make sure to only use priority mail boxes that are NOT flat rate or express or regional rate. You can actually order supplies from the USPS mobile app. That way you always have boxes on hand. You could just use a plain brown box too if you don't have a priority one. I will tag you on how I wrap my items. Pretty simple but pretty. Lmk how it goes!!!! Congrats on a sale!!!!!👏👏👏👏👏😘😘😘😘😘🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Lol 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Now you can be a part of our party too!!! I just recently found Teavana. I've always enjoyed using herbal teas & remedies. In fact my Dad harvests Honey Mesquite Pods into tea & flour!!! The tea was a new discovery this year after 4 years of harvesting. It's tastes like cinnamon apple on its own so we add dried apple & Saigon cinnamon. So yummy!

queenmumm @missrochelles Hey, sweetie. I would say that this is a good question for Poshmark just to make sure you have the most updated info. They did make a change to the FAQ recently but I'm not sure if they consider the lotion and gel to be "health and wellness" items. Tag me when you find out. It's good info for all of us to have. missrochelles @krystie323 - bundling is when a buyer wants to purchase multiple items. Which is great!! Just be sure that the total weight of the items don't weigh more than 2 lbs or else the buyer will need to pay additional shipping charges. missrochelles @kimm777 - Congrats about making your first sales. The one main tip I have for all new poshers is based on the mistake I made that cause my closet to not get support or host picks for 8 months. That was due to not following PM rules including no trading. Poshmark does not currently support any service transactions for trades. In order to get any host pick in a party. Which is a huge accomplishment..... You cannot trade. So that's main tip to add plus never ship outside Posh. Your closet can actually be removed by Posh for doing this. So anyone who looks at my old listings from 2013 can see that yes we all make mistakes but its when we follow & support ALL rules then our closet can be shared by others & can be introduced very quickly & I've seen many new poshers get as many as 5000 followers & a host pick their first week! So have fun but be careful!! And also ; 🙀If someone directly asks for you to send added photos of yourself with an item on NEVER do it! Unfortunately since this is a site for Woman & Women's clothes so yes we have on many occasions had some perverts & you name it targeting some on here. 🙀 So be careful! Have Fun!! 😘😘😘

Try to use up all the photos available showing close-ups & for jewelry it sometimes helps buyers to see for example a dime next to it in order to compare the size. Also although it takes times. I list my jewelry first then go back & add all the specific measurements. The best way to start getting noticed is to start following & listing at the parties when your items fit the theme. To look up who's hosting do a search under "Posh Party" then you can enter a date after. Ill introduce you to @vacat @noy2312 @sherry8888 @scarlettstained @73v3n - They are more up on the parties than I am lately. My health isn't that good . But you can "tag" the host on ONE of your items, no harassing the hosts 😳 to have your item considered as a "host pick!" Usually hosts pick their items up to a week ahead so try to tag early. At the top of your feed there should be a place to click on to get lots of tips from PM. The quickest way I got followers was signing up on Instagram & Twitter. Then you can also list to those directly from your PM listing 😘😘 Plus list your own closet 3 times daily at various times to draw in customers. To bundle I just take a screen shot of each item they want then add it to the listing you'd like to bundle it to. Then change your price to reflect the total bundled price. Which double check you do that or else your person may buy it so fast then could be mean & demand the price. It's happened to me! Then go back & make sure to mark the items that are bundled as "not for sale." Hope that helps😘😘😘

I wish I hadn't made those mistakes though cause I got my feelings hurt not realizing quite why I wasn't moving ahead with my business on Posh but once I found out I was like Duh!! I never had read the instructions. I was just so excited I started listing without reading. So I'm happy you are on Poshmark!!! I'm sure you will 💕💕💕 it here!!! I have made sooooooo many amazing friends. They are closer to me than most of my "real" family. Feel free to remind me to share your closet. My health isn't very good so I tend to only Posh about 6-7. Months out of the year. I'm hoping just to pace myself more. I still end up until 3am with my eyes glued to my phone!!!! sheerglamour @missrochelles ۰•●♡●•۰۰•●♡●•۰۰•●♡●•۰💗💜☺️👭🌺👯💐 thanks a bunch for your sweet words Miss Rochelle I appreciated it 💕🌸my pleasure to help out & send you lovely helpful co-hosts to Jennifer's closet to help her out on choosing an HP for your Fun & Fearless party 🎉I'm pretty sure she is thrilled & more after graduating yesterday so this is like a gift to her from you lovely co-hosts you know👭🎁👯 yessss Rochelle all undergarments cover a lot so I believe your VS slip is good to be listed & show off here since it's not an undergarment IMO, you know it's like a mini dress per se💁 since my time here selling in February I have seen sooo many closets with new undies being picked for HPs but I guess that's to everyone else's discretion, I guess most of the closets have an immense extensive listings so those 'items' are overlooked 😊I could understand the thingy about no undies because I believe Posh 'thinks' that one has eventually tried it on, that's why at the boutiques/stores is not allowed it to take it in the fitting room well some stores they let you try on on top of your own underwear after all there is a protective lining on the new undie, as far as I know Victoria Secret does this 😘 I guess same rule applies to bathing suits...but bras IMO are not part of hygiene protocol intimate you know as undies are👙you know what's funny that I have heard & read that many people now a days don't wear underwear at all and they happily try on pants, dresses, skirts at the stores, after all the thongs & string bikinis don't cover everything after all when trying on pants but not wearing nothing at all?! hmmm yeah I was surprised to know this 🙈 😳 I can just see a sign in the future at the stores saying 'if you don't wear underwear, you can't try this pants on' 😂! It doesn't actually give you many sales or followers though. Working on being a suggested user gains you or (it did me) many more followers👏👏👏 Followers doesn't equal sales etc. Having key items in your closet do. And getting a host pick can help too. Many items I choose as host picks sell!!! @73v3n has a great posting on how to get a host pick in her closet. Plus she's a sweetheart😘😘💕💕💕😻😻

missrochelles @naturelover - it says they do not condone the selling of ANY undergarments. So many people sell "nwot" but it's a concern for hygiene. Most items like swimsuits are ok with the tags still attached or as I was told should have the Sani hygiene liner still in place. Most items like make up its clear its ok if new. But then beauty products like lotions aren't allowed. I did say lingerie in my tag. That's more of just how I interpret it. If you have relations with your partner then sell on here to me it's just gross! Lol. Hope that helps 😘😘

missrochelles @naturelover - in the 3rd pic it lists ALL undergarments along with perfume & nail polish etc. The above sentence says its ok to sell items if in good condition. But the undergarment thing is listing under "not condoned" so under no circumstances. But if there's ever a doubt PM would be happy to answer questions too 😘😘😘 I even had a VS slip listed but took down. I am a person who wants to attempt to do my best. Never having a "borderline" item 💕

missrochelles @michelley421 - It will always go to the feed. Just make sure it doesn't list during a party or on the party feed. When you list anything with a zero price it automatically says "item not for sale." Hope that helps 😘

At least I know now that some of my pain was the infection not my injuries getting worse!! I wish you lived closer 😥😥 Then I could just come give you a hug. My old neighbor was like that. We would talk over out 2ft fences & drink wine and be cackling so loud!!!! Hahaha!! I hope you are well. Guess what??? I got tickets to the Antique Roadshow!!!!!! It's funny now but wasn't when I worked so hard & wasn't being promoted. Sometimes only 1 item like nail polish can prevent a very deserving posher from getting host picks and having items shared 😝 I went 6 months until I figured it out. Lol 😜 However just continue to follow all guidelines when listing each new item so that suggested users can share your item or items.😘 I will share to my followers😘😘😘 If you can get other users to share your item it will be shared to all of their followers. When you share your item don't just hit the "share" button hit the main top right button so it shares to the entire community. Put it in any party it matches. Is this the only item you have?

The one that's going to affect many people is that only pictures you've taken of your item can be used in listings. Just no pics off the internet of that item. Like ie: catalog photo vs actual photo of the item. You have a great closet!!😘😘😘

I know it's a bit overwhelming at first. I was frustrated. But once suggested users can share your closet and you get host picks your sales will really increase!!🎉🎉🎉 I hope this helps. missrochelles @milenamika - Sure! I'd be happy to take a look. Just what I've seen so far is that if an item says "not for sale" it needs to say bundled or else removed. A host can't tell where or how it was sold. Also, even though women wear men's shoes sometimes they still can't be listed. So ie: size 4 is men's. I could just put 💃 on the items I can see maybe?

Swimwear & lingerie & undergarments must have tags & liners in place or brand new in bag. missrochelles @grace4d - The guidelines changed Jan 2015. MANY things have changed. I had to make changes in my closet. Then I emailed PM to clarify some cause they were confusing. Don't feel badly. The guidelines aren't easy to find. But you def can't have a closet saying it's to raise funds for an illness or disability. That's why I just have my "about" listing and it just is a chat listing to support others who suffer. 😘😘😘

missrochelles @grace4d - the closets that do it are repeatedly reported to PM. Those of us who follow the rules don't appreciate those who make sales because they make people feel guilty. We all have major issues but we shouldn't use it to push sales. But you're new💁 There are so many guidelines and so many who seem to not care to keep PM a classy site. But I was like you.... missrochelles @darlajo - they don't email updates on guidelines and when ones sign up, as you know... The rules don't even come up 😝 A person has to purposely find that section! It's so crazy. Most places actually have you "sign" or check a box stating that you understand the guidelines and you will abide by them.

missrochelles @darlajo - those of us that started with them are VERY strict with the rules when we co host, share, etc. I've seen a posher on here since 2012 that has ALWAYS broken the rules & nothing happens to her! I quit for a time because it was so upsetting. As long as they make $ I don't think it matters. There's quite a few of us that try to help and promote the guidelines. I can't wait to meet you!!

missrochelles @darlajo - That would be awesome🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏 Each of us bring like 5 items each then put in a "goodie basket." Nothing expensive needed. However a posher donated a $345 Michelle watch and another brought 10 Julep nail polishes!!! But that's not necessary. We pass the basket around choosing gifts until gone. I made each person a custom button ring. We have drawings for larger prizes. This time I was thinking of having gift cards to various places. It's so much fun!!!!

missrochelles @luvs2dance81 - Thanks for being interested in the suggested user mentoring program! What you can do is send an email to Poshmark letting them know your interest. It generally takes at least 6 months of selling history and record of you helping newer ones. There are quite a few qualifications that need to be met. I'm sure Poshmark will let you know of them in their letter. If not I can explain it to you too. It took me over a year to become a Sugg user. It doesn't help with sales or exposure.

missrochelles @13beck13 a I'm not sure about "the wheel." Sugg users are listed on a "wheel" format that adjusts weekly so it equally gives us about the same amount of new followers. But that's part of the Sugg User Mentoring program. It took me over 2 years just to get over 3000 followers.

missrochelles @13beck13 Just make sure that when you share your closet you are using the "edit" button to do so. That way your items are shared to the main feed not just your own followers. Having a future goal of working towards being a Sugg user is the best way to get followers.

missrochelles @luvs2dance81 - ok that's one problem there😜 When you share your item hit the "edit" on the top right instead then hit "next" then "list." That way your item is shared to the main feed and is shown to all 3 million poshers!! 😘😘😘 Then just cancel out of the listing and repeat. Otherwise you are only sharing to your own followers💕💕💕

missrochelles @muneewoo - Sometimes I do change my listing around if it doesn't sell in 3-6 months. Or just try regrouping your closet sometimes by color etc. Have fun with it. Share at least 3 times daily. Not only just at parties. Really I just looked at my first year as getting a good reputation as a seller etc. I think you'll see a huge difference in sales sharing to the main feed😘😘😘

I've read a couple of places where you say to share with the "edit" button not the "share" because it will share to all PM followers, not just your own followers. missrochelles @lwtodd - Yes you're correct. I've only seen this feature on Apple & Android phones. At our party last week I demonstrated it. To tell u the truth I don't have a computer so I don't know 😜🙆 But the feature is on all phones. Sorry I couldn't be more help. When I did have a computer I noticed that it had just basic features. It works on tablets though too😘A friend made 6 sales in a week using the "edit" technique! It really helps! Happy Poshing!!!

lwtodd @missrochelles I feel bad for all of my followers who've had to endure looking at my items in my closet over and over and over as I share from my computer. I get tired of looking at my items...I'm sure they do too!! I do use my phone a lot, but my laptop gets a ton of use just when my hand is tired of holding my phone. Guess I'll just use the computer for sharing of other closets!

missrochelles @meowmix2121 - in regards to host picks I get very few myself. It's only if a close friend is hosting. There are certain closets that just always get chosen. Depending on who is the editor that night. It's an upsetting arrangement personally. Do you hit the share button when sharing your own closet? Cause using my tip will help more then fretting over getting a HP. I've personally never had a HP sell anyway 😜😜😘

It has helped get a few more followers, but that is about it. I didn't know if there was some other secret to getting followers or selling that I was unaware of.

For 3 days (only cause of my health) and we share 10 items from each other's closets 3 x per day not during parties.

missrochelles @gracieboutique- Many times PM will offer 99 cent shipping if you lower your price by 20%. And unfortunately they go by the lowest price the item has been listed at. Also Poshers have a tendency to offer way lower than you ask. Which btw there's no need to respond to anyone giving a "lowball" offer (1/2 of the asking price.)

missrochelles @gracieboutique - Just as long as it's 3x what you paid it should be ok. Just make sure that you stay within a similar selling price for this style. Otherwise if you're underpriced it doesn't cause other retailers to lose $ if they paid more

missrochelles @gracieboutique - For a $10 item PM takes $2.95 plus it will cost you approx $1 for wrapping. So even if you paid $1 for the item you're only making a small amount. To clear $100 you'd have to sell around 150-175 items.

Many will Sugg other sites run by other Poshers but I've found (from experience) that it can cause you stress & drama from Poshers that can be VERY pushy😘😘😘 Id be happy to be your share buddy when I return on Monday. missrochelles @msl5 - That’s the downside of hosting is that at least 50% cancel at the last minute 😣 I live in Green Valley however I was thinking of having one to celebrate PM 6 yr anniversary. I think it’s Dec 6th. I was thinking of having it in Tucson though so those in GV can attend. We’ve never had a local one here. That way each person drives approx 1 hour & meet in the middle 😜

missrochelles @msl5 I just double checked & it would be Wed Dec 6th. PM sends special goodies “swag” since it’s a special occasion. The hardest part I think is tagging each Posher then dealing with cancellations. But since it’s a special day I think people would show. Could you make it Dec 6th? I think if I invite ones from GV, Tucson & Phoenix we would have a great turn out!!!

missrochelles @msl5 I’d have it in Marana most likely since GV is little over an hour to get there. I’ll put a post up & see if there’s interest. I’m hoping so since there’s special gifts too! I wanted to invite GV Poshers since I’ve never thrown one here. Not sure if people would be willing to compromise to have a larger party? I hosted 6 parties in PHX/SD but it’s a 3 hour each way drive for me 😳

missrochelles @missymb ya it’s too bad that PM wants to celebrate on the exact date ☹️ Wednesday isn’t good for me either. I don’t know if they’ll allow the date to be on the weekend instead. I’m going to apply then see what happens 😍 If people have children it’s a school night plus most will work the next day. I just started to find what I like, not following everyone else, I have my own style and I love it, I love me (even if it seems my body hates me!) I have more self confidence! missrochelles2 @pawsitivelyposh - Your Closet has SOOOO much potential but I can see obvious reasons why you’re not doing as well as you could be. I’ve gone 3 months without sales so it’s a common issue. But if you’re willing I can help you out. My 5 1/2 years on here have taught me a lot 😜 I also know many that are full time but it’s not as easy at all. But once your closet is following guidelines I can help promote you & introduce u to ones that are full time! Just lmk if that’s what you’d like to do 💁🏼
