onceuponathyme @itslwl Hahahahahaha... The entire upper story of our 7K SF house is devoted to costumes. I costume films and theater. But my last film had a ballroom scene, so I'm overloaded with maxi's - most vintage. And they take SOOOOooooo much room! But I never feel like I have to have an event to wear things I love. If you do - you may be onto something! Although I would never cut this one up. It's just too fabulous. (although if I did, I could shorten the skirt and it would fit me!) :-)

onceuponathyme Wellllll - the film industry is not as robust as in LA, of course. :-) But there are a lot of indie films up here, and small theaters. I own a production company and we make an indie every year or so... so I keep busy. I closed my jewelry store a few years ago when I moved here, and shifted gears into filmmaking. Life is good.

onceuponathyme @lululady I'm not sure.... It's FANcy fabric. :-) I'll look at the tag when I'm home, but it's heavy, has just a TINY bit of stretch - just the right amount to smooth everything out, and has a super hand and weight for twirling. It's a true Hollywood Glamour dress.

onceuponathyme @lululady I did the angora test tonight, Taylor. The fabric is a heavy silky polyester, and it passes the angora test with flying colors. I also took a look at what it would be like hemmed shorter. There is SO much fabric in this skirt, it will still be perfection shortened. If you do that, though, you need to find something to do with the extra fabric, because it is really amazing fabric. I'm picturing some amazing band-aide type skirt with suspender straps . . . :-) grin

If there was one article of clothing - on my rack or anywhere else - I could have in my size, this would be it. More even than the long parachute dresses. WAIT until you try this on.

We shot the music video during a couple hours hiatus we had during a feature film she appeared in. We had the gorgeous space, Quinn Allman (lead guitarist for The Used) was here to play for her, so I dressed her and the sound man recorded them live ... What a voice.

We dragons must stick together. This has been my favorite dress for years. I got it at AS when it first came out - it fit me then, although I never wore it. And now I'm too big. onceuponathyme @lululady No worries, Taylor. I'm so sorry ... now you're in the same state I'm in! Oh, to be a 6 again! :-) Although in sizing, I think this fits a 4-6 well - the model is a 4 and it's fine on her. I suspect it's just so long on you that it hits you wrong through the waist and hips? Did you buy one? If so, try taking it up in the shoulders ... that might be the biggest help. :-*
