crystal_iris @rusticrose hi there! I'm sorry I'm just seeing your post. My husband has been stationed here since '10. We lived in Fayetteville for a couple years and now live north of base. I've googled a bit, but if you know of a site that's good for researching schools could you let me know. We're thinking about moving once my husband gets back from his next deployment and I want it to be near a "good" school fo rmy little ones.

reggies_closet @rusticrose sorry I keep writing from different accounts. Thanks so much for the info. I will check it out. I always wanted to homeschool (same reasons as you), but I want my kids to be around other kids since our only outings are to the grocery store. There aren't any "kid" activities up in Harnett County. I've been searching for openings for a school nurse, but the closest one I've found is over an hr away (opposite direction of base). Thanks again for the info!
