katjo @read247 Hi😃 I suggest emailing Support@Poshmark.com to be certain. My guess is no because they have a different scanning code on them but I suppose you could turn the boxes inside out then it becomes just a plain brown box.😉

I highly recommend buying one if you plan on being a posh addict like me...lol...it was one of the best investments I made for my closet, it takes the guessing out. They are available at your local post office. A 5lb scale is $25 and a 10lb scale is $50. Office supply stores sell scales as well and might be a bit less.👍😃

katjo @navarro55 Hi and welcome to Poshmark! Yes, you can make money. As for how long it takes to sell an item, that varies. Some items sell fast and others may take awhile. You increase your chance of selling by adding more items to sell as well as increasing your followers. It takes time and patience. I have a several tips listed in my closet, take a look at them as they are very helpful for new members.👍😃

katjo @hastonandkayden They just say "Priority Mail Box". Numbers are #1095 #1096 #1097 #1092. I also like the shoe boxes (priority mail shoe box) and the Priority Mail Tyvek Envelopes are handy as well.

iam_dami @katjo Kathy I have a question. I sold an item and shipped the following day. For the past two weeks all the USPS website tells me is that the delivery status is not updated. I am now worried the package is now lost in the mail 😔 What happens next? I have emailed posh support and they said they would contact the buyer to confirm delivery and release my earnings but I'm still waiting and getting a bit nervous. Any advice you could provide is appreciated.

katjo @iam_dami Hi😃I have had this happen to me a few times, I also thought it was lost in transit but it did after a week get to it's destination. The good news is the package has been scanned so it proves you have shipped it. I would not worry to much because if it doesn't make it to the buyer (I think it will) Poshmark insures every shipment. I would give a week from the last email you got from support to give them time to investigate it, if a week passes then I would send another email. They are pretty good at tracking things down but it does take a bit of time. I hope this reassures you.❤️

almostnew I have had a couple of orders that the shipper used the flat rate box and my shipment was delayed. Is there any way to insure that the correct box is used? The label clearly says 2 day priority so you would think that the post office would catch it.

katjo @almostnew Hi😃There is no way to insure the seller doesn't use flat rate boxes just as there is no way to insure sellers follow and read all the rules. It is clearly stated in the F&Q section that flat rate is not allowed and by using flat rate slows down shipping, which now can give the seller a bad ratings.

katjo @vets9 Hi, no you cannot ship next day. You have to use Poshmark shipping label which is 2 day priority. If you used your own shipping label you wouldn’t get paid since the label Poshmark provides is automatic with tracking which is also connected to your account hence how you are paid.

whitneynoury @katjo hi question I was under the impression that hairspray/styling products were unsupported as they can only travel ground transport and the priority mail label provided by posh doesn’t ensure ground shipping. I am subscribed to a product club that sends travel size high end hair products that I will never use and want to list. I’ve seen full size cans of hairspray sell and ship on here but not sure how it goes. Don’t want to run into issues when trying to send out to buyers! Any insight?

katjo @whitneynoury Hi, you are correct. Hairstyle products are not allowed. Those selling these products are breaking the rules and risk getting reported and their closet deleted. If/when you see someone selling non fashion non compliant items do report them.

katjo @downrightclean1 Hi, yes people have shipped duffle and roller bags. You just need to find a big box, but be careful of the weight. If your package is over 5lb you have to upgrade your shipping label and pay for the overage.

downrightclean1 @katjo I’m soooo disappointed with posh right now, I just spent $65 on shipping on something that made 95 dollars on. That doesn’t include that they had already taken $30 out of the original price for shipping. I’ve had other problems not getting contacted back about refunds that never made it to me. There is no customer service number to call. Very disappointed, I’ll be removing myself from posh.

katjo @downrightclean1 They took the 20% commission not for shipping. This is why it’s important to consider price with oversize or heavy weight listings. You need to figure that in with the price so you don’t pay the shipping, the buyer does. It was a hard lesson learned.

tiffneyg @katjo Hello Kathy! Is the shipping information in this post still current as of 12/7/18? I ask because I have a very large bundle order and it has to go to Poshmark Authentication. I got it into one box, but the box weighs 35 pounds. PoshMark customer service told me they would only issue one label per order and to print the "over 5 pounds label". But they also told me in the same email, no boxes over 10 pounds. So I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do. Thanks!

katjo @tiffneyg Hi, yes this is not current info hence why it is buried. The max weight for a Poshmark shipping label is 10lbs. You will have to split the bundle into separated purchases. For 35lbs would have to be split and shipped in 4 separate boxes. Three 10lb and one 5lbs.

If I have to cancel the order and start over, can I set up multiple bundles for her so when she returns it's all set up and ready? katjo @tiffneyg Yes, that’s exactly what to do. Cancel the purchase then set each bundle up so it’s ready for her upon her return. Explain to her Poshmark can’t provide shipping labels over 10lbs so it has to be in 10 lb boxes each.

katjo @guinnsonja No, you need the shipping label to be scanned. If you go to the post office they have kiosks that will print your label. Also most office supply places will print for you, library, UPS.

gposh625 I have myster boxes. If I sell 4 to the same buyer can print the label 4 times? If I try to bundle everything into one box I would have to use a huge box( a power wheel box) but the weight would be close to 20 pounds. How to I get extra labels?

katjo @gposh625 Hi, no you can’t print the same label. You have to split the bundle into 2 10lb boxes ie 2 separate purchases. You will have to upgrade the shipping labels for the correct weight. Poshmark only allows a label up to 10lbs. If you print the same label for more then one box, one will come back not paid as it will only allow for 1 to be scanned as paid.

katjo @atattooedgrits Hi, welcome to Poshmark! As for overnight shipping, you can’t. Poshmark is 2 day priority mail only. You can’t use another label or add postage to upgrade to overnight. You have to use a Poshmark label to get paid.

katjo @anjoy2 No, bundling is never a bad idea. You can get free boxes at the post office and/or use any box. You will not get paid if you don’t use the poshmark shipping label because they can’t track it.

katjo @mintcatch22 The seller pays for the heavier weight label. Poshmark shipping labels maximum weight is 10lbs. If your item is over 10lbs it has to be split into separate sales. If it’s one item over 10lbs it can’t be sold/shipped through Poshmark.

be_relentless Not sure if someone else posted this but I saw a lot of videos on YouTube from experienced Poshers stating you could use ANY priority mail box and I found out the hard way when I made my first sale. Also a lot of videos about shrinking the size of the label before printing. I’d advise against that as well. Anyhow, Thank You for spreading the truth about shipping! 😉

katjo @saviah1 Hi, you can’t use the same shipping label 4 times. You will only get paid for 1 scan. You can try to contact her and advice to cancel and repurchase by adding all to bundle but you risk delayed shipping and/or her not repurchasing or just send them individually.

katjo @craftroomdnp Hi, Poshmark never allowed you to do your own shipping. You have to use the Poshmark shipping so it gets scanned, that’s how you get paid. It’s all automated. You can go to the library and print label for free or any office supply or Kinko to print as well.

katjo @the_nifty_list In a bundle of you have a bundle discount set it will automatically deduct the bundle discount. Shipping discount is different where as you have to reduce the shipping, that is done through private offer. So say she cancels and puts together a new bundle, you can then offer her a discount and/or a shipping discount.

If you put them together you will only get paid for one because each sale has its own scanning label and that’s how you get paid. You can however cancel both sales and have her add both to a bundle to make it only 1 shipping label/sale.

katjo @chrmdhrtsbtq Hi, if you send one box on your own that box is not covered under Poshmark’s insurance, so if it gets lost or broke but the other box with the Poshmark shipping label box arrives with no problem you would still lose the entire sale and not get paid.

katjo @madonna33j Hello Dear and welcome to Poshmark! Yes, that label covers the shipping automatically. Poshmark standard shipping label is good up to 5lbs. If it weighed more then 5 lbs but less then 10lbs then you would have to upgrade the shipping label (which the seller pays).

krsheffield a person bundled clothing and I made her a offer and she accepted it....and it is almost 15lbs boxed I see that poshmark does not do lables over 10lbs. I read that you can cancel the order and split the bundle up. my question is that I have canceled a person's order before and it made it still look like it was SOLD and I could not take that off so I had to put another listing on of the same product. katjo @madonna33j The benefit of someone purchasing a bundle is they only are charged 1 shipping charge. So if someone buys a bundle you as the seller will get only 1 shipping label but you must package that bundle (every item purchased) in one box. You also must be sure it’s under 5 lbs, if it weighs more then 5lb again you would have to upgrade the shipping label to a heavier weight label.

You have to relist the items marked SOLD, but in this case I would take a screenshot photo of each item, then make up two new listings using those photos. So say one listing show 7 photos, that’s one bundle. The next listing 8 photos, so that’s two separate bundle sales.

katjo @keirseyk It’s all automated based on the tracking on the Poshmark shipping label, that’s how you get paid. I advise you to contact Poshmark support via email and explain what you did. They possibly can contact the buyer to confirm receiving the package then they will have to manually marked the package delivered.

katjo @moemoeman Hi, you can’t separate them into 3 boxes with one shipping label. You have to either find a box big enough to fit it all and upgrade your shipping label to 15 lbs or cancel it and you will have to bundle it into 3 separate purchases.

katjo @moemoeman Most Post Offices will not do it because Poshmark has a contract to not allow it. The additional shipping cost would be very expensive though, at priority mail retail (Poshmark rate is commercial) price. Approx $55 for 10lbs.

moemoeman I'm going to give it a shot - I just looked up some cost. I went ahead and put a Posh 10Lb Label on my package - at $19.95 thats a great Priority cost ~I've got about 2.5lbs left - less than I thought - prayfully, they will add the remaining. This will be a great way to get around this mess if it works. Posh definitely needs to take another look at their shipping options. Thanks again!

katjo @luxuriouslyme Hi, yes you can. It doesn’t have to be a priority mail shipping box since it says priority mail on the shipping label. You can use plain boxes or polymailers.👍🏼

ashleyacosta316 You can send body sprays and liquid foundation on priority mail!! I asked them !! As long as its in a secure secondary shipment as in if your going to send body spray put them in a ziplock bag to prevent leaking if does leak it will leak in the bag not on the box! They are not hazardous only if it’s pure alcohol or fire 🔥 hazardous wich body sprays and liquid foundation are not!!! I send both at the same time and they said that was absolutely ok!

buteogallicious Poshmark shipping labels now clearly state that flat-rate priority boxes are allowed. Express mail boxes are still not allowed. I'd encourage you to update your photo or take this down altogether so other new poshers aren't misled.
