tippiejax Thank you so much for this. It is so hard, when friends see photos of me, all "dolled" up, make-up on, modeling for my closet. They don't see the real, daily me. In the same PJs 2 days in a row, thinning hair, dark circles, limping, sometimes a tear slipping out. So THANK YOU. And remember, to all of you fellow sufferers, if you don't already know it, look up the "spoon theory". I wear a little sterling spoon around my neck (and just hope that no-one thinks it's a coke spoon--LOLOLOL!!!😛). Whenever anyone asks, or don't understand your situation, provide them the link to the spoon theory. It is specifically written by someone with Lupus, but pertains to all with "invisible" chronic disease. Save your spoons for the things that matter 😘😘😘😘 @theonlynoelle @altaloma @mbvaughn @kookc @missrochelles @debbie46 @inik & if I forgot anyone, I love you, too!!

missrochelles @tippiejax - thanks for including me. I 💕💕💕the spoon theory. The ones I've shown it to are usually pretty shocked. It brings tears every time I read it. It has really helped with many to help them at least get a prospective of what many of us go through every minute of our lives 😘😘😘

tippiejax @theonlynoelle I can completely relate: within the next couple of weeks I am about to write a letter to someone with whom I've been "friends" since 1978. Yes! She has become a narcissist and is completely unsupportive to me. She doesn't want to "talk about" or "hear about" things that make HER uncomfortable. Last time I saw her (she now lives in Philadelphia, but has family here), she got drunk (for the 4,000th time) and kept yelling in front of everyone that she "wants to make-out with Mike", my husband. It's time to say good-bye. With no interruptions. She is a "curator" at a nothing museum, but thinks she's the shite. She could never draw, paint, etc. so in her frustration, majored in art history. She is arrogant. Of all my friends, she is the only one who said NOTHING about me taking up painting again. Didn't even "like" my art Facebook page. Now that I am ill, she never asks me anything about how I am feeling or ️thanks me for anything. It's time. And I will share with her, in succinct, but well worded grief of our ending friendship. Some people are old souls, some are very young. They have many lessons to learn ❤️ @altaloma I don't think I've shared this with you yet, but it is on my "to-do" list.

tippiejax @theonlynoelle it's so amazing to me how many of us have similar stories about narcissistic people!! The problem is, they never change, because they will never recognize it. That would require handling discomfort & reality.

tippiejax @theonlynoelle my Lord, she came THROUGH!!! One of the sweetest notes of concern ever. I didn't think she had it in her. Can't write that letter. I believe in 2nd chances. I'll talk to her tomorrow. How bizarre we were just talking about it.
