Welcome to PoshMark. 99% of the people on here are great and willing to help out new people. Just be careful of the 1%, a lot of the people like to scam others thru trading so most people are against it as well as it's against Posh's policy. It makes me so mad when i read about another person who's been scammed! I work very hard to make my customers happy & though i rarely trade, when i do, i would love to know i can trust the person I'm trading with! And vice versa!!

Trading is NOT against poshmark however it is not guaranteed under posh protection policy, so you trade at your own risk. I am one of the honest traders and am lucky to have had great experiences. But that being said, I only trade selectively and make sure they have a lot of trading feedback!!! Its disgusting to scam people. Everyone works hard for their money etc if you have any questions feel free to reach out to me!!!

Wow! That is horrible! Happened to me once and now I NEVER trade. Follow Posh rules only. They back you up. Helped me get my money back TWICE! It's worth the percentage they take. I know it's high, but sometimes they run a sale. Sorry sister Posher. I hope you reported to Posh. They can block her. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

@kbusenburg sorry that happened to you! I got scammed once for $100 worth of stuff. I tried to put it behind me & am much more selective of who I trade with now. They must have a A+++ reputation as a trader for me to even consider.

@leann4194, @janeth4mk I noticed people leaving comments about checking references for others that they have traded with when wanting to trade with someone new. I also think that the "feedback" page that people have is a great idea. New customers can see how you handle transactions and can feel more at ease with making a purchase. I know for me in the beginning I didn't know anything about Posh or how to even make a purchase lol but I would go and look at past purchases from a seller that I was interested in buying from to get a feel for if they were someone I felt comfortable with making a purchase online. This post didn't actually happen to me, it was someone I purchased from and I felt bad for her because she's a really nice person. So I decided to spread the word to make people aware of these types of people. Thanks for continuing to spread and help fellow Poshers. 😃👍

Omg so sorry! I trade often but always check their communication on their items sold and I contact the buyers if necessary. If there's alot of traded stuff, chances are greater its a good person. Either way pay the $3 for the posh label. :-) I was scammed one time, it sucks! :'( xo

Good morning sweetie . I am so sorry you were taken advantage of ;-( two things I have serious issue with its a Liar or a Thief !!!! Either is a sure way to set me off . May I ask , what took place please ? I'm new to Posh & considering opening a closet myself ans or it has alao been brought to my attn that I could also consider having others sell for me out of their closets . I don't know how that would work though :-/ anyways what exactly happened so that I may also speed your message to some I've been frequently purchasing from hon .
You said something about a trade and personally I am concerned from the gate with that due to another person's item not being of equal value or as in good as they might describe .. If you'd rather not talk about it , I'd completely understand. ♡♡ Denette

@denette46 Hi and Good Morning to you as well 😊! Actually this incident didn't happen to me, it happened to a girl that I had purchased an item from. I noticed the post in her closet and copied it and told her I would spread the word to other Poshers so they would be aware of her and these acts of scamming that have been going on. A lot of people like to trade, as far as how PoshMark feels about it they don't recommend it and they say if you do trade you do it at your own risk, meaning they won't honor the "buyer protection" service they offer. What these scam artist do is once the trade is all set up and both parties are suppose to mail off their packages the scam artist either doesn't mail out anything or they mail out an empty box.
As far as someone selling for you out of their closet I've not heard of that. The only thing I can think of that is closely related is others can share your listings with all of the people that are following them so it helps your closet/items get more exposure. I'm still fairly new to Posh myself, I started at the end of April this year and was just buying things and now I'm getting ready to set up my closet with listings.
Don't let these scam artists ruin the PoshMark experience for you, I've had a lot of fun, met some great people, and scored some really awesome deals. PoshMark is like a family community, the people here are very nice and helpful. If you have any questions or need help tips advice anything people will jump right in to help out.

I see and thank you for the update on Posh selling tips but hoe effen cruel that people.in society have to do what they do to get something for nothing . WoW ans if I closet sell . They'll be no trades made clear for awhile. I'm so sorry this happened to you and no worries hon -look up Judge & Juror lol & she will have to answer for her wrong . I got scammed once. I sent the trade and then she promptly deleted her account. She got me for a new Coach Key fob and a formal bolero. People like this ruin it for honest traders.
