easmar88 @tkrose32 hi there! I actually have had this long...about 7 years! I have had a couple of other juicy bracelets that have tarnished but I believe if this is capable of tarnishing it would have done so by now. I want to note that this is a fashion jewelry piece and although it's very functional, if you're looking for a locket to wear and rarely take off, I would suggest getting one that is sterling silver. However, this is a great piece and is very fashionable!
