acquittdapparel @kristin553 my parents are huge sellers on eBay (like 25-30 items a day) for their actual non-virtual buisness. eBay has recently changed their fees and increased what they charge sellers. Posh works out much cheaper for selling my clothes. eBay is also now requiring people if they want to be considered top sellers and stuff to offer free shipping, so they charge 18% plus you have to pay for shipping out of pocket. Posh has a $5 shipping label for buyers which is awesome, and only charges 20%. It's more simple than eBay, and customer support is easier to deal with as well. My dad complains constantly about how much eBay is charging starting this year with their higher fees.

kristin553 I guess u are right with the shipping for sure!! that's awesome your parents sell. I'm considered a power seller but I don't sell much now. I did last year. But I'm so busy with my kids and i actually bred ch. Dobermans...lol so all that and I work part time...thank goodness I have a supportive husband lol however I don't have the time to sell as much...tho I do miss it at times!! Now I just buy buy buy haha wish I was more disciplined!! I did very well on ebay when I was selling. Lol I hate how posh makes u print there labels for tracking because my printer broke awhile ago. Thought about getting a new one. I love posh but there is alot of scammer too. Just gotta be carfeul. But I honestly buy 98 percent of all my families stuff on ebay and posh lol 😊 besides food obviously.

acquittdapparel @kristin553 haha yea we do too. My fiance got my engagement ring on eBay. I don't buy much though except for specialty items I want or need. I have over 2k sq feet of closets and storage space filled with clothes so I'm just trying to clear them out to make room for new stuff later on and wedding stuff. I tagged you in a VS V-Neck I have. It's like new basically. I don't wear my stuff much as you can probably tell because I have so much. My parents are power sellers on eBay with an anchor store. They sold almost 20k items last year alone. They deal with antiques, collectibles and stuff like that. They are retired pawnbrokers, and I'm in law school. They just do it for fun now and money to go gambling at the casino LMAO. Let me know if you want the V-Neck. I can have it shipped out today :-)

Got this amazing 2 carat diamond 12,000 retail w authenticity papers and everything....for a Lil over 4000 it's amazing!! 😆😆 there r soooooo many great deals out there!! That's how I was with my selling on ebay haha I used it for fun. My husband thankfully has a great job and supports us one his own...all my income is extra $$ for the kids and fun stuff. 😆 I love ur closet!! acquittdapparel @rerunway it just takes the right buyer. All of my items are my own. They were not bought for the purpose to sell. I try to sell most items in my closet at 75-80% off retail.

acquittdapparel @samakotori you may need to update the app! Go into the app store, and and in the bottom right hit updates, see if posh needs to update. If it does, update it! Then under the right hand side in the posh app where you see your user name where you get to all the app features, go to my selling tools, right bellow your balance.

thestarrynight You might hold the Poshmark record for sales! What's your secret to success: sharing, promotions/sales, certain brands or categories? Would you recommend pricing low to start to attract immediate buyers or amassing likes while gradually reducing prices?

I have almost 100k followers, and I share 2-3 hours total a day, my listings, and other people's listings so they share back and to their followers who may be different than mine. I also just try to list at what I think is a fair price, but still leave a little wiggle room based on the fact that people love to make offers. I also have a ton of listings which helps people be able to bundle, and are seen across multiple catagories and brands

acquittdapparel @josemar1 I buy and sell a lot on here. I've out of my pacakges I've sold (over 1000) I've had 3 not show up... one showed up a month later after posh refunded. Out of the ones I've bought however.... I've had 4 or 5..... I live in a college town on a college campus for law school.... I feel like they look and see poshmark or ebay or amazon, and see if it's something they want.....

acquittdapparel @derinda haha yesssssss I think they were bigger back then. 10+ items a lot of times. But I was cheaper on items. I'm more quality over quantity as a lot of my items are high end and new without tag or like new (where I think it may have been worn once).
