cody7150 @official_forum Someone recently had a listing where they quoted posh support as telling them that tops with any sort of built in bra (like shelf bras) had to be NWT --I keep meaning to write posh support myself and ask this question. I'm not trying to cause controversy, but do you know if this is true?

beautynthe Just have to say. I've taken pictures of my items next to labels as proof of quality and ect but still had people claim that they were damaged and pm returned them their money. PM doesn't care! if the buyer says it's ripped it's ripped no matter what you show or describe. They never answer emails. I've actually received rocks in my return box. A pair of shoes with Bitch written across the sole and a shirt that had scissors taken to it. It's very frustrating !!

larochelle @parabuds hi dear! would love to recommend you for a host pick. however party hosts pick from closets that follow posh rules. make sure you do - make up is allowed as long as theyre NWT- if you have sold some before , it would help if you put up a listing saying , 'Now a posh rules following closets' or something of that sort :) lmk once you remove items that are not allowed and tag me once you are ready :) 💝

its_kari_style Hi. I been on poshmark since last year April 2013. So far I've love it. I never got around in reading the guidelines. So I recently post hair extension clips that I purchase but never got around to wearing. I didn't see the harm since I seen many suggested user post some in their closet so I guess I didn't think the harm in that. Well anyways they sold but now I regret ever posting them. I sat away from anything other than just posh. I also did one trade also something I didn't know was allow by posh guideline. I'm focusing on staying within the guidelines. Any advice. official_forum @its_kari_style I would say next time just make sure to include that the hair extensions are NWOT or NWT so buyers know that they're new. Yes, trading is allowed, but not recommended, as they aren't protected by Posh Protect. Happy Poshing! 👍

vekee I recently had some electronics in my closet, I have removed them after a lady told me to read this site and I would be informed on what and what not to have in my closet. I was wondering and perhaps you can inform me if this is correct or not. I make old things into new, very classy items. Some are very old bottles with pearls in them and a bracelet attached to the neck of the bottle. Is this allowed or is it a no no? I would really appreciate an answer to that question.

vekee @rockiesprings thanks so much for steering me here. I too have deleted the electronics. I'm watching closely what I put in my closet. I did have a question but nobody has gotten back to me. I have what I call "Old into New" they are old bottles dressed up classy to like hold yor bracelets and necklaces. I wasn't sure if it was appropriate or not. Still waiting for an answer, lol!

It can damage sales, purchases, u can get kicked off for short periods of times or permanently and the biggest the replicas cause you can get fined and or jail time some don't know the rules some just don't follow but as a new posher and you have ALOT of nice things in your closet the last thing u want is people reporting you I try to help with many others to help u and make u a successful posher rather than just clicking the report button it's definitely nice to know before any damage is done 😉 ️Happy Poshing hun if you have any other questions just lmk there's ton of other tips on this page also 😉

51twenty Hi Kasey @kathleenmac228 When someone pushes the BUY button a shipping charge of $4.99 automatically applies. In more recent times, Poshmark has it were if you reduce an item (randomly) if offers you reduced shipping (min $10). The way to see if this reduced shipping is being offered to your buyer is- each item that you list "Like" it. So if you do reduce the price you can see as well as everyone else who has "liked" that item that there has been a reduction in shipping. That promo usually last 1 hour. 😊 I hope this helps tag me with more questions if not

Two more questions if you don't mind: when it comes time to send a buyer their purchase, where do we get the $4.99 shipping sticker and how do we send the tracking #? And is it against the rules to sell handmade products, like crocheted hats, scarves and other fashion accessories? 51twenty Lol.. Not at all Kasey. 🙈 Yes, you can sell your handmade jewelry, scarfs (head wear) etc. If you have a company name I wouldn't advertise that. Your shipping label comes immediately into your email once the purchase is made. The buyer receives confirmation and tracking once it ships. I sometimes hand my packages right to the mail lady. Did you know you can order FREE boxes from usps? Priority Mail -ONLY- USPS will send those directly to your house. 👏👏😊 @kathleenmac228

novasma @kookc I have reviewed them more than once because I care about the rules and there is no mention about EBay and Etsy. Poshmark doesn't say you can only list your items on here and nowhere else. That would be absurd and would require an exclusive agreement from every seller.

baglady24 I do my very best to participate during Posh parties by sharing and cheering on my fellow Poshers and party Hosts. Rarely do I miss a party, however, I cannot participate in this evening's party hosted by radicaldarling on 7/7. How does a user who sells and has sold several used swimsuits, host a party? seatreasures @kookc yup ive read over the rules and guidelines and i know we are not allowed to advertise any of our other websites! Im sure you could understand as a new posher how confusing it was to see a website section when posh says advertising your website isnt allowed! My first reaction was is posh testing me?! I will remove it until i hear back from posh support of what is intended to go into that section and might even request they make it a little more clear depending on what they tell me!

As far as I was told, listing a website that connects you to another selling point is "okay" as long as you do not "actively" advertise in your closet about that web site. marlanap @kookc I know Poshers who have a "personal" website to their business or special link to their page within a larger business and some say they have that other business in their closet so I am not fully understanding how they can do that and still be named an SU. But people we know do it.

The buyer asked me if they would fit a size 7 and I responded that I was a size 7 and could wear them; which is true. The buyer now received her item and reported it for being size not as described, but the size is definitely a 6.5 as I listed it. What is going to happen?

51twenty Unfortunately, according to PM that's used. That's against the rules. So we when poshers look at your closet they see that. It can really hold you back and cause a risk of your closet being closed. I just want to help. It was something I noticed. Otherwise, your closet is Fab! @sgo709

aguilera_fan18 @rcatheron Exactly what I was thinking too. Swim bottoms are equally unhygienic as underwear when worn. I find it funny how a built in bra tank is prohibited, yet used swimwear is allowed? Very confusing. Only swimwear with tags attached should be allowed IMO.

chicknthesticks @aguilera_fan18 I'm wondering if the reason they're allowing used swimsuits and bras now is because they just couldn't keep up with the hundreds of reports they were getting. And that's only if they were reported. I think a lot of Poshers feel guilty for reporting anyone, so they just ignore it and move on, but that doesn't fix the problem. I report every single unauthorized item. If HQ needs to hire more staff to keep their site the way it was intended, then so be it.

aguilera_fan18 @rcatheron Interesting theory. I wonder if that's the case or if they are just being greedy with profits from these sales and turning their shoulder at these posts. I too report alot of items, not to be mean, but to help keep the site clean. I would assume it's anonymous, but I don't care if they know it's me. I just get discouraged when I see the same old posts of fakes and used swimwear, so I tend to just avoid those sellers and shop elsewhere.

batteryonlow @plumdelicious I had a situation in which I posted a Gucci belt which I was honestly sure was real, and within minutes of posting, someone bought it. ($36) I immediately realized it may not be real, told the buyer, offered to send it to her free of charge bc of the error. She ended up asking me to list for $3 (so the sale could go through poshmark), so I did, and then I sent her a $10 Amazon gift card along with the belt to cover the $6 she paid.

plumdelicious @mayathabee Yup, no puppy outfits no matter how cute they are! If it's something other than women's clothing or accessories Posh doesn't allow it. As for items being authentic, if you're not 100% certain don't list it as that brand. Even saying inspired by is against posh policy. If you want more info you can check out the blog where they have a section on their rules.

triciatx @mayathabee I just wanted to help you out with a few things you mentioned above: (1) Previously sold non-compliant items do NOT count against you. (2) Replicas aka counterfeit items are not only prohibited from being sold on PM, but also against the law. Don't risk it. Ask yourself this before sending an item, "If this were a police officer or someone that works at Poshmark, then would I sell/sent this item???" Gift cards are also prohibited (just an FYI) =0)

triciatx @roberstadt Regarding your earlier question: All items you mentioned are prohibited with a few exceptions. * Nail wraps, stickers, decals are now allowed. * Makeup still has to be new/unused/untested, no longer has to be unopened * Gently used bras, shape wear, and bathing suits are now allowed. * Underwear must be new with tags * SOLID perfume is now allowed, but NO liquid * Manicure sets NIP only are now allowed

roberstadt @creationcentral because the site is for women's clothing and accessories only no men's items,no kids, no electronics ,no used make up, no used underwear, no household products, things like that if you have any questions visit the Poshmark FAQ section and it has a full list of what you can and can't sell. When in doubt you could always send in a support ticket to Poshmark and ask.

roberstadt @helyne for selling products from it works because it works compliance actually got me in trouble I didn't know that those items were even allowed even though they were brand-new and sealed they are not allowed. But, at the time there was no listing to say that they weren't allowed and now I report everything that is not allowed because I just I don't want to see it on here anymore I'm tired of seeing thousands of listings it don't comply with push rules.

roberstadt @triciatx yeah I know it is not allowed on here I just wanted to make sure on certain things because they don't have a lot of the stuff listed that's not allowed they just refer you to the USPS website which I think is lame but they need a half cut and dry rules like now they've got a thing that says you can sell a liquid if it doesn't contain alcohol. But a lot of things can alcohol.

roberstadt @triciatx I see people selling lotions and perfume and Victoria's Secret toys and so much else I report every bit of it I don't care if somebody gets angry with me or you report people are still selling colored contacts. Not only is it a federal law the prohibits them from being sold but how do you know that they're brand-new anon and used to mean they'll come from China so I'm sure that there are dangerous and even my ophthalmologist said that they're dangerous use.

triciatx @roberstadt Unfortunately since there are so many users and so many violations, reporting items doesn't necessarily do anything. It's best to take a screenshot and e-mail support(at)poshmark.com directly. Anything unsafe or against the law should be reported via e-mail. Counterfeit items should also be reported directly to the FBI. You can report any counterfeit items directly to stopfakes(dot)gov. Otherwise the same criminals just create new pages.

batteryonlow Thanks @triciatx... To clarify, I basically gave someone a belt free of charge and sent them a gift card to compensate for the shipping charges and $3 they paid for my belt. I did not sell a gift card nor did they know they were getting a gift card. It was just a nice gesture on my behalf. I think some people just take this posh compliance thing to extremes. It's one thing to sell a fake and claim it as real, and it's another to basically give away an item of which you're not sure. U

batteryonlow Side note - maybe if PM didn't take such a massive chunk of people's earnings, users wouldn't try to use 🅿️🅿️/other sites/apps to sell their items. Unfortunately, to try to simply make a few dollars off an item, sellers are obligated to list them at much higher costs. This limits both supply & demand of goods, so it should come as no surprise that people try using other mediums to sell their products.
