@shankoz21 Our gemstones are sourced from a large gem dealer estate, where they come pre-marked, labeled, and ziplocked. This is how we determine our listing descriptions. However, in cases where the indicated stone doesn’t perfectly match its expected color, we leave it unmarked to avoid misrepresentation.

@shankoz21 The fire opal in question is not Mexican as it wasn’t the orange you see now; it was originally Ethiopian but changed color as it absorbed moisture. The iolite is mostly lab-created or a simulant, though occasional typos may occur. We carefully check emeralds and diopsides, but sometimes automated AI descriptions introduce discrepancies. Fortunately, we have wonderful buyers who help catch these occasional mistakes.

@shankoz21 While we are not professional jewelers, we are also not inexperienced. We rely on a trusted jeweler for verification when needed, though he is currently on vacation for the next month. We strive to provide the most accurate descriptions possible, but it is always a work in progress.
