rozsingh Welcome new poshers! A couple of starter tips, but please ask away! When listing the items in your closet, make sure they are clean and ironed. Take good pics in well lit areas. Pay attention to what's in the background of the pics so potential buyers know what item is for sale in the listing. Make sure you describe your item as well as possible and take several photos with different views. Once posted, "Like" your listing. That starts the popularity of your item in the feed. Then, be sure to share your closet items several times a day and to the parties.

rozsingh Next tip: how to gain followers...there are several initial actions you can take to increase your followers. Under the Feed button, you can search for people, every hour Suggested Users change, so be sure to Follow them. You can also join Following Games like the one in my closet. There are many others you can search for. Then you can also follow people by those following others. Many poshers will follow you back when you follow them. The other effective method I've found has been to join a share group, like the one @justfabulous32 @vanessa_03 and I now host. Closets that follow all posh rules are eligible to participate and your items are shared to the followers of those participating in the share group that night. BTW if someone shares an item of yours, it's courteous to share back. 💕

rozsingh @dhaq Hi, I've helped a couple of other newbies recently, so I decided to start a listing to begin answering questions that way rather than just answering what I wanted to know when I started LOL. @cevansstrong @fredos What do you ladies think? What questions do you have or should be posted here so that others can benefit?

rozsingh @ces0716 here's the resource listing I literally just started. Please feel free to ask any question, any at all 😊
Oct 15Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @fredos you ABSOLUTELY want to share every item to the parties! Well, every item that qualifies. So if it's a Coach party, you can only share Coach brand items, but the parties in the evenings are for every posh allowed items, so share everything posh allowed from your closet there, plus if you can, share to your followers at least 3 times a day. That gets your items in front of different followers, fills their feed and gets you more likes on your items.
Oct 15Reply
vanessa_03
vanessa_03 To add to that if you are sharing someone else's closet you should ONLY share to your followers NOT parties. The reason for this is an item can only be shared to a party once so if you share it to the party and the person doesn't know and shares her closet to the party it's a waste of shares, they don't show up anywhere. @rozsingh @fredos

rozsingh @cevansstrong hi Cat, so let me unravel that undocumented mystery. So here's what I've learned. Poshers seek out those hosting parties. In advance of the parties (far in advance as you can), reach to the host, let them know you have a closet that complies with all posh rules and you'd like them to take a look for a possible host pick and then share the heck out of their closet listings. Another option is rather than asking directly, just share their listings like crazy. That will still get their attention. Just know, they are being inundated by tons of other poshers like yourself so their response may be slow. In addition, you may not know if they selected your item until the night of the party. You have to share your items in to the party and wait to see if any of your items were selected. If one is, then whoopee! You bask in the honor and glory. Many people will congratulate you. Be on the ready to respond to them and share back! That's all there is to it.

rozsingh @cevansstrong Hi Cat, Here are the types of things you can do at parties...1. Always share your closet to the party (the night time party allows all categories), daytime parties only allow certain designers or categories. 2. Shop the party. There are different tabs at the top, so you can check out different showrooms. 3. Check out the host picks. Here's another way to see what's hot. You can have your "party themed" congratulatory message for those who have items selected as host picks. You can either leave them that message in their new HP item or share that HP item or both. Sharing those items is also a good way to get your closet items exposure since those poshers will visit your closet and typically select an item to share to their followers too! 4. If in your browsing you see poshers you aren't following yet, you can follow them. Clearly, they are active poshers. The party at night runs from 10pm ET til midnight. Those activities should keep you pretty busy if you choose to do them all LOL. Have fun and "see" you at the party tonight 🎉💃🎉💃🎉

I have tons of clothes in other app and it will be more easy for me to simple use them than get new ones, 2. How can I reply a message from and specific item in my closet? Thanks for your help!
Oct 18Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @lauraruiz1116 Congratulations on your sale! Be sure to print and use the shipping label provided to you. You can use either a box you have already or one provided by USPS. I try to use their free priority mail boxes since they are included in what posh negotiated with the postal service. The suggestion is to use tissue paper to wrap the item nicely and include a little thank you note as well. After all, we are "posh" ladies. With that said, the USPS allows customers to order boxes online so in the future, you can order boxes and have a ready stock of them at home already ready for your next sale. I've got different sizes and even a couple different envelope siEs, since you just never know which item is next to catch someone's interest. I also keep bubble wrap or other box stuffing around so the item (if fragile in any way won't get bumped around or damaged in transit). Since posh keeps closet statistics on a variety of things, one being shipping speed, I'd make haste to your post office to get your box. Take your item, tape, tissue paper, note, and any box stuffing you need so you can wrap it right there and drop it off in one trip. Well done on your first sale and that's your first step on your way to becoming a suggested user! 😃💕

rozsingh @spkikasp hi Erika, Welcome to Posh! I'm glad to help! Yes, as long as the item hasn't sold, you can edit the listing or delete it. In fact, I had a couple of belts I had listed but lost a little weight and they fit again, so I deleted the listings. But, once an item has sold, you can no longer edit or delete it. I've not been on posh a very long time, however, I've seen items finally sell in closets a year later, so you may want to be patient. Perhaps your buyer hasn't found you yet. I bought some beautiful designer items that had been in closets a year and I've only been on posh since July. So, I'd say either patience, drop your price for rapid sale and share, share, share or delete and donate 😃 . Happy poshing!💃

Oct 19Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @spkikasp Hi Erika, I just checked your shoes. I believe the USPS has a priority mail box that's slightly larger than a shoe box and will fit both your shoes and the original shoe box. Your shoes are certainly less weight than the 5 lbs that the USPS and posh have negotiated for the $4.99 shipping rate. In anticipation of the sale of your shoes, I'd recommend being prepared. Measure the dimensions of the shoe box and look at the USPS website. There you can order free priority mail supplies...the right sized box you need and it's free. Yes, I said FREE! So, go ahead and order whatever size boxes you need for your items so you have them on hand. On the same site, you can even arrange a package pick up if your box won't fit in your mailbox and you don't have time or are not conveniently close to a post office drop off location. They will come to you. The USPS makes it very easy for customers, especially ones who are thinking ahead like you are and wanting to be prepared.

rozsingh @jennybeck Hi Jenny, Welcome to posh! Here's a resource listing that will help you with some questions you will start having here on posh. Be sure to Like ❤️ it so you can refer back to it when questions occur to you. posh is a big place and I know I've had a tough time navigating back to closets unless I put them into my Likes, now I'm going to switch to the Share Group Conversation listing to answer your specific questions for that group. Again, welcome to posh and I hope you start to love it as much as I do! 💃💗💕
Oct 24Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @jennybeck changed my mind and decided to answer your share questions here since other newcomers could benefit. Sharing is an important element to getting your listings noticed. Sharing is also the preferred way that other poshers wish to be thanked when they share listings from your closet. Here's how it works. You gain followers. When you share your listings, those listings get posted to the Newsfeed of your followers. So the more followers you have, the more people can potentially see your listings. By sharing listings of others to your followers, they in turn will thank you for sharing their listings by sharing back to their followers. When that happens, it generates interest and you gain more followers. It was recommended to me that I share my own listings at least 3 times a day plus to any parties. Now, you can also share your closet to Facebook, Twitter, you can text listings or email them in SMS or do any of that for others. If you find a listing that a family member or friend may be interested in, you could share it to them. There are groups of poshers that have formed share groups. They are organized at set times of the day or evening and anyone who's closet follows all posh rules can participate. I am a member of a group that shares every evening of the week. New members sign up on the new member listing in each of the 3 closets that host our share group...@justfabulous32 hosts Sunday, Monday and Friday evenings, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings are hosted out of @vanessa_03 closet and I host Saturday evenings from my closet. When you share during the share group, you share listings from the closets that have signed up in the share group for that night and that the share group host has notified you as approved to share from. Then you share THEIR listings. Their listings will share to your followers and while that's happening, they will be sharing your listings to their followers, so your listings will go to he News feeds of hundreds of thousands of poshers. It's a very powerful mechanism for marketing your closet. I would recommend it. Most of the poshers in our share group have attained Suggested User status and have or are about to host parties as a result of this share group activity.

rozsingh
rozsingh @jennybeck no, no. It's not like an email message. Go to the bottom of the app where it says Feed. When you look at listings closely there, you'll see people share there own and you'll also see where listings are shared by others. So when you Share, your own listings or those you share of others will go to the Feed. Go ahead...try it, hit refresh on your Feed and scroll to see your listing 😊 then go do your whole closet! Go, Jenny Go! 👯👯
Oct 25Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @jennybeck When a party is going on, be sure to share the all listings that qualify of yours to that. At night, all closet listings should be shared to the party!
Oct 25Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @jennybeck no problem haha! From your iPad or phone, you should be able to see the Feed at the bottom strip across the bottom of the app, to the left of where you create the sell listing. That's where you can see what all has been shared by those you're following. It's constantly on the move. Only during parties will you have a choice to share to your followers or to the party for each listing. I do know that functionality is limited on a Pc or laptop or online by comparison to the iPad and phone apps, perhaps that's why you're not seeing the proper Feed menu

rozsingh @jennybeck Hi, I can't check the Feed. There are poshers constantly sharing listings. I have 28,000 I'm following in my feed and have no ability to check wither your items were shared. What I will say is that I'm positive your items were shared to the Feed of those that are following you. But it's important you share often. That's why you need to share at least 3 times a day.

twinkle1076
twinkle1076 @rozsingh I have a question about people selling items that are against Poshmark rules--should I report them? I don't want to be perceived as a jerk or tattle tale. Recently I've gone to other people's closets to share their stuff as a thanks for sharing my stuff and I see A LOT of clothing for men, boys, little girls, infants, etc., to the point that I can't find something within Poshmark rules to share.
Oct 28Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @twinkle1076 once you become a Suggested User, you can lose that status if you share from a closet that doesn't follow posh rules. If you see a closet that doesn't follow rules, you have options...report the listings, block the closet or just not share anything from that closet.

ericascloset87
ericascloset87 What a great listing to help new poshers! It can definitely be confusing at first. @rozsingh just wanted to add to your advice about using the free USPS boxes, most of them say Flat Rate. Those boxes are NOT compatible with the posh shipping label. Your package might get sent back. Make sure to get a PRIORITY mail box or envelop and make sure it doesn't say Flat Rate anywhere on the box. 😊💜🌻💝
Nov 01Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @ericascloset87 Thank you for your compliment and the additional clarification! I've gotten lucky with the small flat rate boxes. My local PO workers often tell me I'm overpaying in postage (Poshmark postage) when using that little flat rate box because the item weight is way lighter than what's allowed in that box and they keep trying to save me $ rather than trying to get me to change boxes LOL They are just nice people and trying to save me a buck but you're right. If they wanted to be jerkies, they could make me change boxes to just say Priority Mail.

Nov 02Reply
luxyluv
luxyluv I have a question for you... I know of a user that is selling fakes as 100% auth and actually debating abt low ball offers, but her pics are on a drop ship website for like $2.99 (ex. She's selling chanel earrings from this site where they are 2.99 and charging like 3-400 for them, and when ppl have askd for addtl pics, she says they are at her warehouse-that's just 1 example if many in her page) I have reported the listings to posh but they are still up. Any advise?? I just feel bad for all of the likes she has on it and that people are showing interest in buying thinking they are real!! Don't really know who else to ask abt this... Thanks!!
Nov 02Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @luxyluv @marsala yes, it's ok for men to shop on posh. It's not ok for them to harass or stalk women. Block their closet & report them if that happens. Let us know & we'll spread the word like wildfire! 💥⚡️
Nov 02Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @luxyluv when fakes are being sold and you're sure, report the listing & report the user. Do not let them know you're doing so. Let Poshmark handle the rest. The other option is to remark the item is fake, quickly report the laying, then block their closet. But the risk is if they know you did that, they can try and retaliate. You can additionally write an email to report the closet.

Nov 03Reply

rozsingh @mandiii_marieee Hi, Congrats on the sales! Your PO has the Priority boxes available in their lobby area. If you're unsure about which ones to get, ask for assistance. The Priority boxes are FREE. Be sure to bring your Posh labels with you as well as tape to tape the boxes shut. The PO may or may not tape them with their tape, so just be prepared. Once you have the boxes and turn over your packages, be sure to grab a few boxes for future shipments. You can also order more online at USPS.com and they will deliver them to your door. Heck you can even schedule a pick u at your house! 💌🎁

Nov 04Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @122406 I would write on her listings that she doesn't follow thru on her trades. But make sure you have the text cut and saved to paste quickly from listing to listing because if she's online at the time, she will block you. You can also let others know who are looking at doing transactions with her to avoid her and tell some suggested users so they can spread the word. I don't trade because I don't know people well enough to trust them. I'm sorry you got burned. That stinks.

rozsingh @scunningham2 Ah, got it! If you're on a laptop or PC, you'd have to use an emoticon keyboard but I've not used one personally. Since you've started your closet, if you have an iPhone or iPad, upgrade to the new iOS (operating system) and the emoticon keyboard is the smilie button between the number button and microphone button on the lower left of your Apple keyboard. Alternatively, you can use an emoticon app from your phone's AppStore if you aren't using Apple. Hope that helps.

cdj69 I'm kinda new, I'm a buyer, and I have been burned ( no pun intended), by people sending me items smelling of smoke, I get sooo angry, cause I forgot to ask, are they smokers , but you would think people would have common sense?, is there a rule against this, and any tips getting smoke smell out of a leather purse,,and watch.
Nov 06Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @cdj69 Hi, welcome to posh and I can't stand smoke either! I'm a frequent migraine sufferer so any smells can be a trigger for me. Unfortunately, there's no rule that I know of that states the items have to be kept in a smoke-free environment unfortunately. The best thing to remove odor is ozone but you may have difficulty finding any at a reasonable cost since ozone machines are expensive and those with them want to charge $$$$$! Way more than I suspect you paid for the handbag. So here's what I'd do and had to do with a chinchilla hat I bought. I stuck it in the sunshine. Wait for an abundantly sun filled day (no precipitation in sight!) and put your items outside. Between the sun and fresh are, it will reduce the scent. You'll have to do this repeatedly given the types of objects since you can't wash them. You're gonna think I'm crazy but use a very generous portion of baking soda inside and outside your handbag. Dump it in and on the outside and let it sit overnight. Repeat If you've ever had a smelly frig., a cup of baking soda will eliminate the odor overnight. That too will help. That's all I can think of without harming either the watch or bag.
Nov 06Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @ksay The handbags and any other items listed on posh must comply with posh rules. No fake, inspired or replica designer items are allowed. Perhaps your bags were identified as not legitimate designer items and those visiting your closet reported the listings and posh removed those listings. If they are not true, from the designer store items, you aren't to sell them on posh. If they are legitimate, send an email to posh with the store receipt and I'm sure they will let you keep each listing with that proof of purchase.

rozsingh @jennybeck Hi, sorry, I've not been as responsive as I normally am. This week I've been up to my eyeballs in work and haven't been keeping up very well on posh. I'm glad you've had a chance to practice your sharing skills 😊. Tomorrow morning I'll send out instructions on how our sharer group works. For now, you can sign up on the listing that s got the red curtain. That's for new members. I'll come check your closet to make sure there are no rule breaking items in there. Once you've got the all clear, then you can sign up onto the Saturday night sign up sheet or any other evening if there are other evenings that suit you better. I'm thrilled that you'd like to come try our share group. It's a fun group of ladies. You'll get a chance to meet a lot of poshers this way, gain followers, your listings will gain exposure to hundreds of thousands of followers and many of these women have become party hosts and suggested users largely because of being in a share group. Okay, be looking for my message tomorrow morning some time. Have a great night! ☺️💐💕

rozsingh @hellogorgeous71 Hi Liz, Welcome to Posh! I'm glad you found my resource listing for new poshers. That's what it's here for. Bras NWT are definitely allowed but if the tags have been cut off, they are NOT allowed. The same holds true for bathing suits....tops or bottoms. No tags, not allowed. For barrettes, hair ands etc. yes they are also allowed but hair extensions are NOT. If you have odd fashion items that aren't explicitly identified on the Poshmark Rules, you can always seek guidance from them by sending them an email through the Poshmark Support Center. They can give you definitive answers for any unusual fashion items and can provide that "official" word. I hope that helps. If you have any other questions in the future, don't hesitate ask. If you'd like to gather more followers and have your listings reach more poshers that just your current follower list, let me know. There are share groups formed on posh that are effective at growing followers and exposing your listings to hundreds of thousands of poshers simultaneously. If that's of interest, LMK. In the mean time, have a nice night and happy poshing! 💃👠💕

lauras_boutique @rozsingh Hello I am new to Posh, and I am loving it so far but I need some mentoring so I'm so happy that I found your website! I want to follow all of the Posh rules, but I am not sure how to know if a closet follows the posh rules unless they state it in their closet. I have added followers and shared items that may not follow the rules because I didn't know. Can you please give me some suggestions on what I should do? Also, you have so much helpful advice I wish I would have found it on day 1! I just need to to read through your posts more carefully. I want to join groups that follow posh rules as the best way to build my closet. Any thoughts would be really appreciated! Laura 😄💕💕💕

rozsingh
rozsingh @msu0712 Hi Laura, I actually created this listing since I, like you, wished I had read something like this on day 1. It would have saved me from bumbling around LOL. My understanding is that as a Suggested User, Poshmark doesn't want SUs to share listings from closets that don't follow posh rules. I've got a list of types of prohibited items in my listings related to the share group I belong to. The 2nd page of any one of those listings has a list of the prohibited items. Sometimes you'll start sharing in a closet and you find after having shared some listings you see something not allowed. When that's happened to me, just stop and leave that closet. I believe that's the best you can do. As for the signage that people put that say they follow all posh rules...where that may generally keep you safe, I've experienced where I've seen that message, but still have seen bad items lurking. I just try to keep my eyes peeled. As for addressing your other question about joining groups to advance your closet, I mentioned I belong to a share group. There are share groups in posh where a group of poshers band together and share each other's listings to their followers. That increases followers, likes and I've noticed that my sales have gone up due to the increased exposure. Some share groups require the closets that participate to be posh rule abiding, while others do not, so you may need to inquire and ask directly. Some have more rigid participation rules than others, but there are choices out there. I personally like flexibility. Sometimes life gets in the way and if I need to start a little early or a little late I want the flexibility to be able to do that. Anyway, I hope I answered your questions. Happy poshing! 💃💕🎉

Should I not share any items from a closet if i find it has some items that don't meet posh rules, even if i'm not sharing those items? 2. when i post a new item do i share/like it or do my followers see it automatically? 3. how do i move an item to the top and can i do something to make it stay there, for example if i have a meet the owner spot? 4. do i respond when someone likes an item do people think that is rude? finally i would like to join your group but i dont know if i need more items? sorry to have so many questions but i appreciate your help very much! 😀💕💕💕🌺

rozsingh
rozsingh @msu0712 hi, before I became a suggested user, I would share items out of closets that met posh rules but avoided the rule breaking items. Now that I'm an SU, I'm not taking any chances that Poshmark mgmt would revoke that privilege so if I see the closet has non-compliant items, I won't share. Period. 2. When you create a new item for sale, when you list it, the system automatically shares it with your followers in their Feed. Like ❤️ all your listings. That starts the popularity of your item. I usually remove my Like once the count goes above 14. 3. See response to another posher above this reply. 4. This is a personal preference. I used to thank each person for every single Like ❤️, and I'd share an item from their closet. Now, only if they have a question about the item or a compliment, do I respond. I'm not even able to keep up on returning shares for those that are visiting my closet so I'm cutting back since I just can't do it all. Finally, you're closet is looking really good. You've been busy LOL. Our share group hosts post sign up sheets in their closets and also have new member listings for new members to sign up their first to have their closet inspected to make sure it complies with posh rules. If you're interested, @vanessa_03 hosts Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from her closet, @justfabulous32 hosts Sunday, Monday and Friday and I host Saturday night. Hope to see you there! Ciao Bella! 💃💕🌟

Nov 16Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @_koala__closet_ Hi Dee, Trading IS allowed on posh but is done at the risk of the trader. Unless you know who you're reading with, you're at risk of just plain losing your item. I've only done a couple of trades and those were to lower the cost of an item I was purchasing. I then sent the item, so the risk was all on the person I was buying from and they trusted me enough that I was actually going to send the item. I won't item trade outright. Period. There are too many scammers looking to steal and I'm not going to be that kind of victim! Trading is a personal choice and NOT prohibited by Poshmark.

kzack7125
kzack7125 Hi, I do not have a closet on here but have been a buyer for almost a year now. I have followers ( which surprised me as I have no closet to follow) so after reading so much about how important sharing seems to be to those that do have closets I have just started sharing things. After sharing multiples from individual closets it occurred to me that may not be "following Posh rules". I don't want to share multiple items from someone's closet if they are only supposed to have 1 ( or some other designated number) item posted in the party. I've read that items are only to be posted once and see above that if someone shares an item that the seller or someone else has already shared that it would be a "wasted share". I guess I don't really care if my shares are wasted it's more that I don't want to be non compliant causing problems for someone. So my question is, if I am being unclear...is it ok to share others closets to parties I f appropriate to the party theme? Are there limits on the number of items that you can share from any 1 individual closet or the number of items I as an individual should be sharing to a given party? Thanks, and btw if I'm not supposed to and it reflects back to the closet owner in some neg. way, your closet was one I shared multiple things from, sorry!
Nov 21Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @kzack7125 Hi Kim, I saw that you were sharing my items but assumed you were sharing them to your followers since that's what most poshers do. They choose to share to their followers. I don't believe there is any posher in their right mind that would reject anyone from sharing their items to their followers. It increases exposure to a broader audience and increases the likelihood of a sale. I have seen it that Suggested Users won't return shares to those closets that don't comply with posh rules (meaning the closet is selling items on the prohibited list). I have a summary of those items under the share group listings, second photo. Since you have no items for sale, that's not a problem although since I saw you sharing I did try to reciprocate but couldn't because you had no items for me to share back to my followers. I do very much appreciate you browsing my closet, liking so many of my items and also taking the time to share items to tonight's party. You took your personal time to share my listings and I do very much appreciate that. Anytime you feel the urge to share someone's closet to a party, feel free to come my direction 😉 LOL I am joking. But in all seriousness, you're kind and considerate to do that for people and I personally thank you for doing that for me! 🌹💕😘

kzack7125
kzack7125 Thanks for your very prompt reply. I just figure since I'm spending so much time shopping on here & sharing seems to be so important to everyone with a closet that it's not really any work for me to share the things I see that I appreciate. I just want to clarify because it wasn't specifically addressed... There are no limits on the number of items that should be shared (to a party) from any given closet correct? I understand that if a particular item has already been shared it wouldn't appear twice and that's ok , I can waste a few shares, lol. Thanks again. I love Posh. My husband, not so much, I think. I am an a horrible insomniac and spend those wee hrs of the morning shopping. A lot more entertaining then late night cable. It prob doesn't do much in the way of helping me sleep quite honestly, it's easy to wile away the hours here. Someday I'll have to find the time to go through my own things and have a closet of my own but for today life's a bit too busy already. Thanks for your kindness and taking the time to respond. You have a beautiful closet. I'm trying to restrain myself from purchasing for a little while however and closets like your make that much more difficult! Take care!

At the top, there are different Showrooms from Host Picks, to NWT, to Designers. Once you pick one, it will ask you if you want to enter. Once your there, you can go through all the listings, open each one and comment to congratulate each person if you wish or you can just share from that level. maliayoung I have a question .... I have been posting sales all week lowering my prices and everything still nobody wants to purchase I have a lot of likes and shares but still nobody is biting..... What am I doing wrong?? I wash everything right before I take the pictures I try to have good lighting but my house has like hardly any lighting at all....I share my closet all day long like crazy HELP!!!!
Nov 23Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @maliayoung I can't tell you what to do but I could make suggestions or tell you what I did. If you know you have a lighting issue, buy a lamp to light your items for photographing or more economically, take them outside & photograph them during morning or evening light, which is best for photography. Midday light is harsh. Next, to increase your followers, join a share group. That gets your items exposed to hundreds of thousands of people once you have good photos. I also bought a mannequin to display my clothes since some items look better on a body than hanger. You can find some fairly cheaply that only have a front that hang. It sounds counter-intuitive, but share items from other people's closets to your followers. Many will return the shares. That's posh etiquette to say thank you. Now with all that, you're competing with over a million others also selling their stuff. What makes your items stand out over others? That's the question we are all competing to answer. I hope this helps.
Nov 23Reply

dejaknowles thanks slot! I do have a question : How does a bundle sale work,?
Nov 24Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @dejaknowles ah, good one! Glad to get a new question! The awesome bundle sale!!! That's when someone wants to buy more than 1 item in your closet. Usually you give them a discount % when that occurs. The % amount is up to you. Here's what I do when someone wants a bundle...I create a brand new listing with all the items pictured and described. Make sure you still describe them well and if you can't because there are so many items, refer back to the original listings. Mark the original listings "Not for Sale" and tell your buyer their bundle is ready for purchase. Retain the original listings of the items after the item sells. You never know when you may have to refer back to them for some reason, especially if your buyer blows off the bundle purchase, which can happen. At least if that does happen, you can easily recover by marking your originals back "for sale" and delete the bundle listing very quickly. So there you have it. The bundle sale. Gotta love it when it happens! It's flattering! 👠💃💕

rozsingh @dorissmith Hi Doris, Different people prefer different apps. I use a variety of apps depending upon the circumstance. I have an iPad and iPhone I use for editing, let me start with that so my apps are for that operating system...I use SquareSize to make my photos square if the image is too large for the posh opening. I use InstaCollage or YourMoments for laying text over a photo or wallpaper background like I did for this listing. I have other apps I've downloaded but I use them infrequently compared to these I just mentioned. Im sure if you went to a closet that uses special framing or something fancy you like, just ask them what they use and I'm sure they'll tell you. It's no trade secret. I just prefer, in general, to keep it simple. I hope that helps. 😊

You can share your closet and email your friends and family from posh. In the upper right corner of your app (from your closet, you'll see a box with an arrow pointing up). If you click that it says Share My Closet. When you click that not brings up a menu that you can email friends as one option. That's where you can announce to your friends & family all the goodies listed in your Poshmark closet 😊

bellalize @rozsingh Darling I have a question. Awhile back I purchased a Coach wristlet type handbag. It was listed as authentic. When I received I realized there was no leather tag stitched inside. Does it mean it is a fake? Or do some smaller bags like wristlet and wallets not have those inside? Please help. I don't want to post it for sale if its fake and would like to let the seller know how I feel. Its an absolute gorgeous item and I never even used it. Thank you darling! Im so happy you have this post. I was wondering where I was going to ask this and didn't want to write it under any of your item listing.

rozsingh @bellalize The only wristlet I have bought and immediately sold the same day it arrived was the silver glitter one which wasn't leather as the main material. I never even took it out of the plastic manufacturer's plastic, so it was absolutely untouched. The person that's bought and sold leather wristlet's is Butter @vanessa_03. She can answer your question above. For the mini skinny wallets I've just bought, I don't believe there's a leather tag in them from Coach. Butter can you answer this question?

Dec 05Reply
vanessa_03
vanessa_03 @bellalize 90% of Coach wristlets and wallets don't have the tag with the serial number only pocketbooks have it. Now they're starting to not even put serial numbers on that leather tag they're actually hiding them on small little plastic tags inside of the bag.

I am quite new to poshmark and have made first sale. as i picked up my box for shipping my i learned from the postmaster my prepaid shipping was not going to be enough to cover the shipping costs even though my oackave it's under five pounds is this a normal occurence i did not have my shipping label with me when i was at postoffice so i couldn't get a better explanation seems like my earnings would be eaten uo in shipping costs if the postmaster is correct

islaisle
islaisle Oh my goodness...sorry for the typos.
Dec 08Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @islaisle You may have picked up the incorrect box from the USPS. You need to be careful which Priority Mail box you select. Do NOT use the Flat Rate Boxes that are marked that way. I would suggest taking all your packaging materials with you and your item to the post office. Take the label inside and have the postal clerk tell you which boxes are the ones to use. If the item is less than 5 lbs, use the regular Priority Mail boxes, but the post office can point them out to you. Use the correct box and the postage will be enough with what Poshmark has negotiated with the USPS for commercial shipping. :)

islaisle Thank you for answering and for the congrats. I was so excited and then totally discouraged at the postoffice. I just happened to be out when I learned of my sale so thought I would get a headstart by getting the box. I think I have the correct box but will verify tomorrow I was wondering if there was a negotiated shipping rate so I appreciate your thorough answer.

Dec 12Reply

rozsingh @ccroxy Hey there, Roxy!!!! Our share group meets 7 nights a week at 8pm EST every night except Sundays...that evening we start at 7pm EST. I'll tag you on the listing that shows which closet hosts which night. I normally have those listings at the top of my closet but I am moving listings around today. Happy holidays to you and your family. It's so good hearing from you. Perhaps you can join us sometime. Ciao Bella! 😘💨💋

kdritto
kdritto @rozsingh hi, just wondering what to do when u purchase something and then the seller never responds. No shipping and no response to the comments. Is there any course of action other than canceling the order? Thanks!!
Dec 13Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @kdritto Hi Kristina, I have had that happen to me as well. In one case, the seller's closet was abandoned and didn't close it after she left posh for good. I learned to communicate with sellers first. In the other case, the woman communicated well prior to the sale & never shipped the item. After 10 days, I cancelled the order and didn't look back. Some people are just jerks and don't know how to give customer service! Suggest you cancel your order and move forward. You can ask why they never shipped so others are alerted but don't leave disparaging comments since this could reflect poorly upon you and could affect you if you aim to host a party or want to be a Suggested User. 😊

cmc514
cmc514 Hi, Thank you for supplying a post which allows users to get more information! I have read this one, the new members sign up sheet, and the other sharing group posts in your closet. I have tried to read through ALL the comments but there are SO many and I'm just getting confused now 😜. Could you please clarify (or let me know if I have it correct) regarding how I can become more involved, like with a share group. I never heard of that until now. I should post under new members, be screened for following all rules (which I always try to do!) and if approved, meet at a certain time to share closets? Or join a share discussion at 7pm one of the 6 nights per week? For the last month and a half I have become very active on posh, listing new items daily, following people, and sharing like crazy. I share so many other peoples listings every night, so if I can become part of a group and do this, I thought even better! I have a month off from grad school, so I wanted to become as active as possible and build a great network while I have more time each day. I'd love to hear your feedback. Thank you in advance!

You only get 4 places to add photos, but I have noticed that some people have more than 4 photos listed and I don't know how they do it. Thanks so much for any help you can give me and happy holidays😘😘. The "other" Roz

Dec 20Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @laskinr Hi Roz, There are apps available that you can use to combine pics together so that you can show more than just 4. Another option is to refer to a 2nd listing to show additional photos and you just mark it "Not for Sale" and just say additional photos in the the description. The apps I use most frequently are: I use SquareSize to make sure my photos fit the listing and are square if I've edited them to make them narrow (this app can add a background to make the photo square etc.), I primarily use InstaCollage. That app allows you to include one, two up to 16 photos in 1 photo's area. You can add text etc., frame etc. If you read above comments where I list other apps but other than the basic editing in Photos app and these two, I'm typically all set. :) Happy holidays!

daisymae061874 Ok. Very cool. I am new and I am a stickler to rules in general in life. I don't own any replicas or knockoffs I don't believe in that as I believe that takes away from the real designers as they work so hard to make their beautiful items. I am super friendly and great people person. I love fashion I know the latest trends well I think I do but I'm still learning of course and I want to get in on the parties and be a part of the Posh community I'm certainly not a brown noser, never was, and never will be. rozsingh @hazeldreams Hi Brianna, here's the trick,...she has to sign up using the app either on her phone or iPad. If she used a computer. I made the same mistake with a friend of mine from work. She used her computer where there's no place to enter the code. She contacted Poshmark the very next day and they wouldn't honor it and told her it can only be done through the app. If your friend hasn't loaded her closet, I'd suggest she delete her closet and start a closet through the app. So far, I've given out my code to 10 people and none have been successful. Perhaps you and your friend will have better luck! LOL.

renaeg
renaeg @rozsingh hi I'm new to posh have barely purchased 4 items on here but I am wanting to sell and am curious about the shipping label posh provides for example if a heavy bag were to be sold and gets the $3 label from posh does the seller have to cover the aditional weight fee to the post office or does the posh label cover the total weight of the package being sent?
Dec 28Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @renaeg Hi, welcome to posh! The label will cover up to a 5 lb package which is a good sized handbag plus box and any packing material. I doubt your package would be over that amount. But in the case that it goes over the 5lb limit, the additional cost is borne by the seller. You can buy extra postage thru Poshmark at a substantially discounted rate I believe. I've sold large handbags and have not even gotten close to the 5 lb limit. So I think you'll be ok. I wish you many sales 👍💕

mwooding @rozsingh this is amazingly helpful! Thank you! I have a couple questions whenever you have time. First, do you think the number of listings in a closet has bearing on a sale? (Will potential buyers pass me up because I haven't listed / sold enough things?). Second... Can you add me to your share group? 😁 last... Does my closet / do my photos look decent? Should I make any changes to improve my chances at sales? I really appreciate you putting all this together. I was just googling tricks for selling on posh the other day and came up extremely empty. katielady1982
katielady1982 @rozsingh Roz, I have a quick question for you. My aunt (god love her) gave me a tiny little pink plaid clutch, it kinda looks like Burberry, but isn't claiming to be. (No brand, no tag) is this okay to list? Or is that not kosher? I was thinking about making it a free with purchase item, but I figured I would ask you as you seem to know the rules better than most. I don't want to violate poshmark rules or get kicked out of our fabulous share group. TIA. ♡
Dec 31Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @katielady1982 Hi, You can list the clutch just don't say it's Burberry. It's illegal for knockoffs to be sold but if it's just a plaid patterned clutch then you're good. burberry doesn't have the lock on plaid. FYI Also, the listing I had describing to visitors to not lowball etc was removed by posh today. It was considered to not meet Poshmark listing rules as a women's fashion listing. So if you ever consider creating such a thing, don't. I wish you and your family a safe, healthy and happy New Year! 😘
Dec 31Reply

katielady1982 Thank you. I have had my anti low baller listing up for a month or more now. I seriously wish posh would limit how much of a discount someone can ask for. Then we wouldn't need to make these listings. Very much appreciate your advice as always ♡

whiterabbit805
whiterabbit805 @rozsingh hi, I'm fairly new to Poshmark. I've been asked a couple of times about trading. So far I haven't been interested, but if I see something in the future, how do I trade? THANKS!!😘
Dec 31Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @whiterabbit805 Hi, Lavina Welcome to Posh! As a general rule, I don't trade unless I can use one of my items to reduce the price of something I'm buying. First and foremost, you want to be able to trust whom your trading with. There are scammers out there that are just itching to basically steal from you so beware! And not just one or two, there are plenty. There are also plenty of trustworthy poshers too but how do you tell the difference? That's why I won't do it unless like I stated above, it's to reduce the price of something I'm buying. If you're doing a one for one trade with someone, you can either use Poshmark postage or pay your own. If you use Poshmark, there's no need to swap address however, with either method you run the risk of the other person not sending their item or canceling their end after you've sent your item to them. You will mark your item Not For Sale and either edit the title or lead photo to say it was traded so prospective buyers know the item is no longer available, then move the item to the bottom of your closet with your sold items. Then hope the item you traded for shows up in the mail. If you can, get trading references from the other person or if they are a Suggested User you can have more confidence you will get your item. If. That doesn't clarify the process enough, let me know and I'll try to provide further details on the part your unsure of. 😊

ericany80
ericany80 Hi there - I just realized that you had this little Q & A area! Do you happen to know how long it typically takes for PM to settle a dispute? My item was delivered on Dec 31st to the woman who wanted to return it because it "didn't fit." I was told I would hear something w/in 24-48 hrs. It's been 9 days! I sent a 3rd email about it and was basically told not to write again and they would let me know when they reached a decision. Seems like a long time to decide whether or not she gets to have buyers remorse! She could be wearing the item for the past few days for all I know! Frustrating. Just wondering if you know the typical turn around period? Thanks😘
Jan 09Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @ericany80 Hi, PM usually responds in 24-48 hours. However, with that said, I had them take over a week to decide one dispute, not sure what took so long, but it ended up being decided in my favor as a seller. Just sit tight and wait. I'm confident they will answer you shortly at this point.
Jan 09Reply
ericany80
ericany80 Thanks @rozsingh. Hopefully I will have the same outcome. It would be even more frustrating at this point to have to take the item back when she has had possession of it for so long! It just seems like an excessive amt of time when it's not a dispute over a damaged / misleading item. I guess I'll have to work on my patience 😬. Thanks again!!

Jan 14Reply

rozsingh @pre_pa514 Hi Claire, I'm perfectly fine with you tagging me for parties. 😊 I've recently been falling behind with my own party coming up plus I've taken on both weekend 3:30 share groups & the Sunday 8:00pm as well. SG hosting takes hours screening closets & then hosting them. With all that plus a nearly 60 hour a week job, I'm failing at it all. My poor son hasn't had me help him with homework once this year 😢 so there you have it. I need a clone! LOL You're tagging me helped me from scrolling back thousands of shares & comments to find them. If I don't comment when it rolls by, I can't scroll that far back. There are just too many people hitting my News right now. A double edge sword. I'm sure they think I'm ignoring them. I just can't keep up. Have a good night & tag me when u find parties I've missed. 😘🌹

acertainage
acertainage Can you hold that dress for me until I look like that model? :-) Also - seriously - do you think Posh will ever add Petites sizing so that those of us who are short and have narrow shoulders etc can use the Size filter more effectively? A P6 and a 6 are from two different planets!
Jan 16Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @acertainage LOL I'm happy to take 50% down for layaway on the dress! I completely understand your comment on petites but PM isn't the only ones that don't understand the size difference. I'm 5'9". No way are my arm & leg lengths petite but twice I've purchased clothes here from poshers not understanding petite means shorter length sleeves etc. They are no way the same. When I sold a couple of my mom's petite jackets I customized the size for the listings to reflect petite to avoid what happened to me. Why PM doesn't add P sizes to the choices is beyond me. You raise a good point! 👍🌹👯🌟💕🎊👠🌺
Jan 16Reply
acertainage
acertainage I enter a search for Petites blazer or Petites dress or whatever, but then can't filter for Just In, so have to scroll through everything I've seen before just to check for new stuff. Nordstrom and J Crew and Ann Taylor and other shopping sites let you filter by more sizes and it's so much easier. Also Tall or Plus sized women would appreciate having more size categories too!

gailsjewels @rozsingh Hi how are you? It shows yet again your not following me...😞Anyway, I wanted to let you know that I just got home yesterday from the hospital as I've been in there for 2 weeks in the oncology unit. I've been on chemo since dec 5th and it's been really hard on me. I actually collapsed in my bathroom and my 9 year old called 911. They had to rush me to the hospital because my vitals were so bad. I was in so much pain I just wanted to die as I couldn't stand it anymore. After lots of meds thru an IV and tons of tests they almost took me off the chemo. But everyone in my church started a huge prayer chain and visited me daily to ho lift me up. Thank God because it worked and I finally was well enough to come home to my little girl. It's been so hard on her. I still have until the end of feb. To go till I'm finished with chemo. So I was wondering if it would be ok to ask you for prayers? Thank you so much as I really appreciate you so much. Btw, do you have a Facebook? I do and all of this is on it and if you do maybe you can send a friend request? Anyway thanks so much and have a blessed weekend, Gail xoxo

fashioncravings
fashioncravings @rozsingh Hi Roz, this thread is so helpful and I truly appreciate the time and effort you put into it! I have read every single post and got answers to most of my questions. I still have 2. I hope I didn't just miss the answers somewhere. 1. Sometimes I find that after I've been sharing for awhile, BAM, there it is, that one not allowed item that I didn't notice. At this point I just stop sharing but it's hard to remember who I don't want to share for, haha. So, if I block a closet do they know I blocked them? Would it be better just to unfollow them? 2. I'm just wondering if it is an "unstated" rule that things like NWT lotions, makeup and perfumes are not allowed? I can't seem to find anywhere that Posh actually states that but it seems to be the consensus in many posts from seasoned poshers. Thank you so much for this resource‼️ The most helpful thing I found was about only sharing other poshers items to my followers and only sharing my own items to parties once. That is going to save me scads and scads of time‼️‼️😜💓 Lastly, I spoke to the postman about the boxes cuz he caught me before I shipped something in the wrong box. He said the easiest way to make sure you are using the correct box is to make sure you only use the ones that say MAILING BOX. In the same place that the incorrect boxes say FLAT RATE BOX the correct boxes will say MAILING BOX. That was so helpful to me I thought I'd share it😊
Jan 28Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @fashioncravings Hi Debbie, I don't typically block people because they are posh rule non-compliant. I just typically. Stop sharing their closet when I discover it and leave. No, when you block someone, there's no proactive notification. Only if they knew they were following you, it would indicate they weren't any longer and they wouldn't be allowed to share your listings nor leave any comments. Under the Frequently Asked Questions area, look for the question How Do I Sell on Poshmark? Click the selling guidelines link. Under there is where it tells you what's prohibited but know it's not an all encompassing list and when in doubt, email Poshmark Support and they will give you the official answer. Finally, USPS will tell you the Flat Rate boxes are no no's. You can order supplies for free online from them. It's great!

Feb 15Reply
annifer_ann
annifer_ann @rozsingh I read thru a lot of it, some I was already doing, much was helpful and some was confusing. I am incredibly sorry for what happened before, I was wrong, but I was also left feeling attacked and absolutely awful. I was ready to just delete my account and take my things to a consignment store. I don't want to be a part of a community that has such power cliques, I did not like that feeling.
Feb 15Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @annifer_ann Hi if there is information here that's confusing, LMK I and I'll try to explain further. I do understand your point of view, but I think my perspective has escaped you. I have many doing this to me on a weekly basis, most with malice. It takes hours to relist my items over and over and I lose customers each time I do it and I have to spend weeks regaining the likes and interest lost. It gets old. I'd like us both to move past it and not have my listings discuss it further, if you don't mind. Posh is a great community for gaining friends and a sense of community. You'll meet many nice people here, unfortunately you misstepped with something that's been rearing an ugly head for several of us that have highly frequented closets. That makes us a target, it's exhausting, and gets old. The poshers have a habit if hitting more than one listing unless immediately dealt with. So let's move forward and like Dory said to Marlin, "just keep swimming" 😊💐

rozsingh
rozsingh @mpont3 hi, I'll answer your price drop question here under the resource listing for new poshers so others can benefit. So you've read Friday's and Sunday's are the best days to drop prices. Think about when most people get paid and then drop prices accordingly. I wouldn't drop prices too early in the morning otherwise you miss the west coast and vice versa for night time with east coast. I think determining when to drop is a personal choice. Determine how much competition there is for the type of product you have to see if your price and product are in the right price range for available listings and then compare with those sold. It could be that you've priced it right or it could be its not. Do your research. When I first got started on posh, I was in a huge hurry to sell but realized that inventory sits. This is not a high turn over environment unless you're willing to give away your items. Keep in mind, once you drop a price, if you raise it back up later then drop again, posh remembers the previous price drop so a shipping discount to buyers may be a challenge.

hawley99 Hi..question: How much is the minimum percentage an item is marked down to get the shipping discount notification? There's an item in my likes, & she marked down the cost, but I didn't get a notification such as: "Get it now for $2.99 shipping".. I know it depends on how much % they mark down, but I've had other lowers shipping notifications still..And I can't find the official info on this anywhere..yet I've seen this somewhere..Thx!
Feb 28Reply
hawley99
hawley99 Oops..never mind..just found the info I needed. (Not thru the app, though)..had to google. Would be great if they had that info in FAQ's..I've seen it advertised in many closets and in Poshmark's official closet, but couldn't find Posh's official closet when I need it (I forgot to "Follow" them at that time). So when I went to search for them, it was impossible, since so many people name their closet with the word "Posh".. Makes it super hard to find the official "Poshmark closet".. You'd think they would have a rule against this?
Feb 28Reply
mykidsfault
mykidsfault @rozsingh and everyone. . .what do you think is the best day and time to mark down items? Thanks!
Mar 01Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @mykidsfault I'd suggest payday or figure out which day of the week you get most sales. I'd lower prices that day and wait until the west coast is at least awake for a few hours.
Mar 01Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @s3xy Hi, a buyer has 3 days to accept the purchase after receipt. If acceptance nor a case is opened within that time, Poshmark waits another day or so then releases payment to the seller. On another note, when asking questions to another posher, unless it's related to that listing, you shouldn't write on that posher's listing. Write your question or comment from one of your own instead. It's considered rude. Since you're a brand new posher, I tagged you under my resource listing which has answers to questions other new poshers have asked. I'd also recommend you read the the Poshmark Etiquette Do's and Don'ts. They will help you integrate into the culture and community more quickly.

ardavidhizar
ardavidhizar @rozsingh this may seem like a stupid question so sorry for asking, but how do you make your first sale? I've been on poshmark for almost three months and had one offer which I couldn't accept because it was too low. I've dropped my item prices drastically and have shared all of my listings to every party they could be shared to and to my followers. How long should I expect before I start selling? I am accumulating a pile of clothes that I have listed and I'm wondering if I'll ever get to sell them :/ Thanks for all your help! And I apologize if this question has been answered. Thanks for taking us under your wing!!
Mar 11Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @ardavidhizar Hi, you've got bright clear photos of your items, so that's a great start and you're doing the right thing by sharing to parties and your followers. A key element you're missing that is counter intuitive is sharing other people's listings to your followers. After 3 months, you've only got 129 shares. It's vitally important in my view to share others's listings to your followers since its Poshmark proper etiquette to thank someone for doing that by sharing back. That's how you gain followers faster when you're sharing listings of poshers that have more followers than you. There are a couple of ways to do the sharing, either randomly through your feed, targeting specific individuals or joining a share group. I joined a share group within a few weeks of joining posh because I saw the benefits. I gained followers, likes and when you increase likes, you increase the likelihood of sales. The other thing you should do is to compare what you're selling versus your competition. What are they charging? How are they describing the item? What do their item's photos look like and what's it's condition? Anything that differentiates your closet in a good way will help you. Those are my initial thoughts. I wish you much success here on Posh!
Mar 11Reply
ardavidhizar
ardavidhizar @rozsingh I have started sharing listings. I've seen the follower benefits and they've shared my listings too which is great. Just wasn't sure what else to do. I try to share 20 listings 3-4 times a day. Obviously I haven't been able to do that crazily but I'll keep improving. Thanks!!

sewstylish
sewstylish It's closer clear out time. I've never done it before. Suggestions and tips?
Mar 18Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @sewstylish Hi Sarah, Start closet clear out by posting a listing talking SALE or Closet Clear Out 💥 Then for the items you want to sell, you could annotate either the listing title or cover photo to indicate their sale, if you have a large number of likes on the listing, you could drop the price by 10% and Poshmark will inform any Likers of the price drop & give discounted shipping. Whether you have many Likers or not, share, share, share those items to your feed and share items from other posher's to get them to your closet. When they come, they will see your items when they come to share back to their followers. Strategically pick poshers that share back & have good sized follower lists so you can grow yours & reach a larger audience when your listings are shared by other poshers. You could also join share groups to hasten the pace of reaching more followers. Lastly, you can tag friends from your sale listing & ask them to help share your sale by sharing it. I think that just about covers it. You could ask someone who does those sales. They may provide better advice since I personally don't do them and may be missing a few tips or tricks but I believe I've covered all the normal bases.

Mar 31Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @nancyvdb Welcome to Posh first off! I recommend listing it all. Sometimes it takes awhile to sell so list your items, share them, gather likes & someone will buy. I bought a fur in August so you never know who's gonna buy when. Happy poshing! 💃🌹💋

Mar 31Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @ardavidhizar hi, I list items not for sale because they are part of a bundle that's been sold or because I've decided I'm so very tempted by my own pieces that before it sells I mark it not for sale while I decide if I want to keep it for myself. LOL It just occurred to me that a person could mark an item NFS because a potential buyer asked to put the item on hold until they have the $ to purchase. Some will hold items for buyers. Other than that, you'd have to ask the individuals why.

rozsingh @katemae22 Trades, where PM allowed are risky. U have to trust that other posher will send the item you're trading. U can either drop the price of your items to $3 & buy each other's to get the shipping label or swap addresses thru email & send thru the PO outside posh tracking. I personally don't trade outright since its a risk. I've heard stories of deals gone bad with one end canceling after shipment of the other item, so beware. Make sure you trust whom your trading with. That's my advice.

whererosesfall Hi!! I have a question - I purchased a skirt that was advertised as a size medium but I just received it today and it's a size large and the tag even says "large". It does not fit at all - it's gigantic (I'm usually a small but can fit in medium sometimes but a large is just too big)...and it's a shame because I really love it! It's adorable. :( What can I do? :/
Apr 04Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @whererosesfall Open a case. Take a photo of the label & submit it stating it doesn't match the description. Poshmark will evaluate the claim & make a determination. From the sound of it, they will issue a refund & a return address label free of charge.

prettylady16
prettylady16 @rozsingh is there a such thing as sharing your own closet too much?
Apr 07Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @prettylady16 Hi, welcome to posh! The answer is no & yes. No in that the more your followers see your items the more likes you'll receive and therefore closer to a sale. The problem is that Poshmark has a limit to the # of daily shares before u error out for a timeout period. To avoid that, join share groups where you share each other's listings & others have larger follower lists than ur own. 😊

rozsingh @edenfox Hi, your closet has a great style to it! The only type of thing that I can see that isn't posh rule compliant are the tops that you'd wear "braless" example corset tops. The only way those can be sold on posh is if they are NWT otherwise they are considered unsanitary. Other than those listings, your closet looks great!

rozsingh @aaapowaaa There are thousands and thousands of poshers sharing their listings immediately from the second the parties start. That's why there are listings there already. May 14Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @ebeme You have to go thru your News to know who shared your listings. That's the only way. The best thank you is to share their listing back to your followers. To be blunt...People don't want you writing thank yous for them sharing your listings on Poshmark. It doesn't bring them sales. They'd prefer to be shared back. That's why it's important to keep up with News. Happy poshing!

suemt1976 @rozsingh What is the protocol when you see a listing of items that you know are kind of cheap, and were a free gift from a retailer (I know because I also got the same free gift from the same retailer), and the seller is asking $20 marked down from $60? Do you just ignore it and hope noone falls for it? Is this something that the report feature is designed for?
Jun 02Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @suemt1976 Hi welcome to Poshmark. The protocol is to leave it alone. They are selling it in their closet. If a buyer desires a pretty cosmetic bag brand new by a seller, what do you care? You don't really. I use Clinique products & have tons of cosmetic bags. I don't use them. I've got customers that love the bags but don't use that make up so they aren't entitled to the free bag w purchase. You'll find many examples on posh.

I am trying to get the hang of sharing, liking and joining parties. ..i am confused as to how to join the hp parties when invited ...I've clicked on the arrow but not sure how to add to it. 😕

posh_and_coffee Good evening! I am still learning everyday, haven't gotten any sales yet but I'm not expecting any being this new to the site. I've been following and sharing as much as I can each day. I had ask someone before but they didn't answer me back for some reason How do you tag followers.I feel so silly to ask.I don't really bother with social media much because I really don't have the time due to running several different stores so maybe I'm missing something. Thanks

rozsingh @deborahd518 Hi, welcome to Poshmark! I just tagged you with an @ in front of your closet name. That's how to tag someone. There's no way to mass tag. In fact, there's a 500 char limit in comments now but u can tag with the @ directly in front of the closet name of the person u want to talk with. Happy poshing!

Thanks to you, I think I've started off on the right foot and hope to get a few host picks one day. This listing has been super helpful and I've returned a few times to re-read through the tips! loveaclosetfind @erynpaille This is it! It's a long one but totally worth reading!
Jul 04Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @erynpaille Hi When an item sells, the buyer pays the shipping fee. Only if the item weighs more than 5lbs does the seller have to pay more. When the item sells, Poshmark sends the seller an email congratulating them on the sale & it includes a pdf USPS priority label with the buyer's address in the to field and seller return address. 😊 seller prints it & tapes it to the USPS free supplied box you can get at the PO.
Jul 04Reply

kbsmimzy1
kbsmimzy1 Not understanding share parties and following the rules. I'm a newbie. Lol. Any advice or tips is appreciated 😀
Jul 12Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @kbsmimzy1 welcome to Poshmark! The purpose of share groups is to increase followers & get your listings seen by hundreds of thousands of potential buyers in their feeds though you yourself don't have many followers. By sharing listings from other closets, the etiquette is they share back rather than thank.
Jul 12Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @kbsmimzy1 as for being posh rule compliant, Suggested Users can lose that privilege by sharing from closets that have non-compliant listings so they won't share that closet. Co-hosts from parties are instructed give host picks to only compliant closets. Host picks bring visitors to your closet. Also liquids are illegal to ship do compliance isn't the only issue. The USPS agreement with posh prohibits liquids & is illegal to ship. Many benefits to just being compliant.

chicknthesticks @rozsingh This page has been so helpful, thanks! I've been reading and reading, and I'm learning things I didn't know I didn't know! Btw, your closet is stunning. I love pearls, and you display and photograph them beautifully. I have two questions: First, I saw a Posher today with 2.2M followers. Million?? How is that even possible? Second, you mentioned you remove your own Like once the feed count is over 14. Where can we see the feed count? I only have a smartphone, no computer.
Jul 15Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @rcatheron hi, welcome to Poshmark & thank you! ☺️ there are a few Poshmark employees who's accounts nearly camp out on the find ppl list. As a suggested user, you gain followers faster but while on the find ppl list the #s appeared to go up faster than follower counts. HQ says not but looks like gaming. .
Jul 15Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @rcatheron By clicking into ur listing and scrolling down, you can see the # of ppl that have Liked ur listing & by clicking that, it'll give u the list of names (that's all provided u have a list of names & it's more than 14). Less than that and u only see names at the top level, not a count
Jul 15Reply
chicknthesticks
chicknthesticks @rozsingh I have more questions, sorry! I asked PM support and the app team to add a zoom feature, a new category for suits, and fix a glitch in the filters, to no avail. Any suggestions? Next: every time I get a new follower I quick-scan their closet before I follow back or share anything. I'm shocked by the sheer volume of unauthorized or inspired items, etc. I report them every time. Is there a point where I will become a pest to PM staff?
Jul 15Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @rcatheron I'm sure PM gets lots of great ideas. I have no idea why they implement some & not others. Budget constraints, insufficient volume of requests from many poshers IDK??
Jul 15Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @rcatheron Yes, many sell prohibited items but they won't get host picks nor become suggested users. Many won't share their listings. All these would have increased exposure to their closets & raising the likelihood of sales. All becuz they want to list prohibited usually low price items. A shame really but what can u do? As for reporting, PM acts quickly on replicas/knock offs but not so on other reporting types in my experience.
Jul 15Reply
chicknthesticks

Jul 24Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @flashbackcloset hi, you must share each listing to your followers individually. You may oray not see your listing in the feed. With 880 followers & depending upon the time, there could be tons of listings hitting at the same time so your item could be there just down further cuz you can't switch between sharing & ur feed fast enuff.
Jul 24Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @flashbackcloset go to your closet stats & check your self shares. If they are increasing, then you're sharing you're listings. Don't forget to refresh screens between looking so u see if there's progress.

sparkling_blue
sparkling_blue Hi @rozsingh! What do i do if someone asks me to lower my price so that they pay less shipping? How much should i lower it for this to happen? Thanks for this page. It's helped clear up a lot of things for me regarding poshing.
Jul 25Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @theshopspot hi, the poshmark shipping discount usually kicks in with at least a 10% discount off the listing. If the listing was previously discounted & price raised unfortunately they track that info so it has to be lower than ever before.
Jul 25Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @theshopspot with that said, if I have an item marked firm price & someone wants a discount, I create a new listing with an outrageously high price, have them Like ❤️it, then mark it to the firm price so though they pay the firm price they still get discounted shipping. Lowering a listing price is YOUR choice. If you don't want to, create that new listing at $5000 & just give them discounted shipping like I do no discount on the item if it's already low priced already. 😊💕
Jul 25Reply

Oct 11Reply
onlyme70
onlyme70 @rozsingh lol sry its only because i do take offers and sometimes ill take a lower offer than wanted just to make merchandise move but im afraid im going to run into that one day, where i make hardly anything on an item because of discount, bundle discount and commission paid 😮
Oct 11Reply
vanessa_03
vanessa_03 The way I think it works is once you accept an offer the listing automatically becomes "Sold" so they would not be able to add it to a bundle at that point. @onlyme70
Oct 11Reply

Nov 16Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @readeadams Hi, I'm not sure why Poshmark hasn't expanded edit capabilities to the PC. snokitti_31 @cdj69 if you buy cloth things that smell of smoke that can be hand washed, try hand washing them with white vinegar/water/lil bit of detergent. I've done that... Cause it was bad I had to do it a couple times but now the smoke is out completely. Air dry. Outside in sunshine is best but inside is fine. Do not put in the dryer cause it will set the smell if you didn't get it all the first time.

poojasangwan This is so helpful @rozsingh! I am a new posher and finding my way around here! :) Can you please tell me how you bundle items? Also, how do you offer a multi item discount?
Jan 23Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @poojasangwan Hi, welcome :) there are 2 ways to bundle. Buyers can bundle themselves by selecting more than 1 item and using the bundle feature or they can comment to you and you can bundle for them by creating a listing with those items, with a combined price. Be sure to include a full description of the items being sold to protect yourself as well as the buyer with pictures. You can find examples of my bundles in my closet.
Jan 23Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @poojasangwan A multi item discount is a feature you set up for your closet. So when a buyer bundles, it automatically discounts that bundle with that defined discount you've preset. It's under My Seller Discount.

Feb 20Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @marmar12345678 The fastest way to share is on a laptop. Followed by an iPad & the slowest is by phone. I've tried opening 2-3 Windows at the same time to share at the same time but can't really tell if it's faster. It does allow me to share my closet & others at the same time though. Over time you get much quicker with the repetitive motion.

mwrenn @rozsingh just browsing and ran across your intro. Love love it. Been buying since 2013. Just started selling this year. Had a few questions that support did not answer. 1. I see how a customer qualifies for bundle price when they initiate it. 2. But how do you qualify them when the seller puts the items together. I have a couple more but that's it for tonight
Feb 25Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @mwrenn Hi Marion, if you initiate a bundle rather than the buyer then as a seller you need to do the math on the bundle discount. It's that simple. Here's hoping you get many bundles in your closet!

mckeescloset
mckeescloset Hi Roz, I'm back with a question or two. One is... what happens when you "share?" So far I have been getting used to the community, following closets I like, and building my "likes" page... (Which is pretty freaking awesome at the moment!) I have not shared anything yet...
Mar 13Reply
mckeescloset
mckeescloset Would it be appropriate to go through my likes and share them? I'm planning on starting to add items to my closet tomorrow, but I'm wondering how the whole share thing works. If I share things, do they only show up for my followers, and will not show up in my area? Or will there be a place I can see everything I have shared? Thanks so much!
Mar 13Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @mckeescloset Hi, Shares go to ur followers unless u share deliberately to a party etc. Once u have ur own listings, share them to ur followers/parties often!!!! U can share ur Likes but I tend to Like stuff for future purchases rather than for potential sharing.
Mar 13Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @mckeescloset Additionally, strategically, find closets that have lots of followers that share back & share their listings. They will share ur listings & help boost ur potential sales. Join share groups as well but practice sharing 1st. That's a time investment & can take 1-2 hrs each time but can be well worth the return.

rozsingh @ckennedy13 you've been blocked & reported to Poshmark HQ for advertising in someone else's closet. It's considered rude. You should go read Poshmark's Etiquette Do's & Don'ts to better fit into this community. You've also become an example to other new Poshers that read my FAQ listing since I won't ever unblock you.

malibutam Thank you for the following. I'm very new to this site & still trying to figure out everything, so I hope that everyone is a little patient with me, but I'm confused on a few things, but I can't wait to share my items with everyone. I also hope to have this done ASAP, so any feedback or assistance to help expedite this process would greatly be appreciated. I look forward to working with each one in the near future.

jrie429
jrie429 Hey:) I am a new Posher! I was wondering how you tag people. I've had people like so many things and I have no clue how to tag them:(
Apr 16Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @jrie429 Hi & welcome to Poshmark! To tag someone or comment to them, use an @ symbol before their closet name like I did yours at the start of this comment. When someone Likes❤️ an item, no need to comment back. If they share one of your items to their followers, don't thank them with a comment, just share back to your followers. That's the best thank you that you can give.

the_evenstar
the_evenstar Thanks for taking questions! I have a weird problem: I just listed an item called "VS PINK Yale Full-Zip Hoodie, NWT, Fits XS/S." It has the words "VS PINK" and "Yale" in the description too. But, on the Poshmark app, when I search for "Yale" or look at "Just In" PINK Victoria's Secret items, this particular listing *doesn't show up*. It shows up on the computer, just not on the app. (I have a similar ISO listing that does show up in searches, but my selling listing doesn't.) Any ideas?

krismarie716
krismarie716 Hi, i had one sale and i went to the ups store and they charged me $1.00 to print the shipping label for me and then said they didn't have free boxes or envelopes and charged me $3 something to purchase an envelope to ship it in.
May 02Reply
krismarie716
krismarie716 Hi again. One more question. Is there a way to share your whole closet at one time to your followers or do we have to share each item one at a time?
May 02Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @krismarie716 you get free priority mail boxes and envelopes at the post office not UPS Store. The USPS is where the shipping is through. There's no fast way to share your whole closet to the Feed. You must share each individual item to your followers each and every time.

gma_dida @rozsingh - Question 1 - I have recently sold 2 items on my Poshmark site. Delivered and both gave me 5 stars ... How do I see the comments that were made? Thank you for this site❣ and thank you in advance for your answers❣Love your closet and time for helping all of us newbies 🌹.

gma_dida @rozsingh Question 2 - recently had someone bundle but didn't hit the buy button. I reached out to them and asked a few questions, have not heard back. Is there something that I need to do when someone starts bundling? or is this on them by pushing the "Buy Now" button? Thank you for this site❣ and thank you in advance for your answers❣Love your closet and time for helping all of us newbies 🌹.

lisaspluscloset @rozsingh It took me a while, but I made it through all the comments and wanted to thank you for making such a great post for newbies! I did have one quick question: when you say that you share your closet multiple times a day to your followers, do you share your entire closet multiple times a day to your followers, or just a few items each time? Thanks in advance!
Jul 23Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @lisaspluscloset Hi, I share every available listing to the feed several times a day. The more you share, the better the chance someone will see it in their Feed & want to buy it. Happy poshing!

neceowens @rozsingh hi, do you know how the posh mini promotion works? I know it has something to do with poshmark now allowing us to sale children's clothing. I believe if your item is picked you'll get a $25 credit. Have you heard of this?

rozsingh
rozsingh @simplyelegant1 That is the million dollar question! I have no clue. I can only surmise it's in the wholesale portal where they are selling bunches to other poshers or if you're working full-time in the Poshmark HQ. I'm not seeing it since there's a cap on the # of shares you can do in a day.

harrta01
harrta01 First of all THANK YOU! You are a wealth of posh knowledge. I hope I did not miss this question/answer already. Is there an easy way to follow closets/people who are already following you? As a newbie, I am having a challenge keeping up with following those who follow me. I always view each closet and like and share pretty much every time. Is this slowing me down or am I posh'ing wrong? I can't seem to keep up.
Aug 14Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @harrta01 Hi You're welcome & thank you for the compliment. It's your discretion. Here's what I do...I follow as many as possible but go looking to follow people-I'm on a mission!, look at no closets but try to share back (can't keep up tho). I only "Like" it's when hosting a party or when searching for stuff I'd like to buy in the future. Each person has their own way of poshing. That's mine. I'm sure you'll develop yours 😊💕

goodgoodies Hi Roz, thanks for your kindness! I would LOVE to join the share group, but can't seem to find the listing. Can you please help me out with that? Thank you so much! 💕
Sep 06Reply
rozsingh
rozsingh @goodgoodies Hi, this share group doesn't meet any longer but there are others that you can search for & sign up for in the Poshmark community. Find one that meets your schedule. It's a time commitment, so know what you're getting into. You can spend an hour or longer sharing each time in a share group but I found it was worth it most times.

amandaconway
amandaconway I'm new to posting on my closet. It says I joined 3 years ago, but just for the past month starting to build up my closet. I haven't sold anything. I did a trade just hoping the buyer would give me a 5 star rating to get started on building trust. And she did. But I feel like no one knows me here or maybe I'm in the wrong site for my items? Any tips? What's wrong with my closet? I get compliments and shares but no purchases...

rozsingh
rozsingh @amandaconway Hi, glad u got ur closet started! You've got great items for sale. To get attention, u need to share to the Feed often!!! Share others' closets that will share ur listings back as a thank you to their followers. Check prices of ur listings vs competitors & set prices to entice & just keep sharing to that Feed. Eventually those sales will roll in. It's a game of patience on this site sometimes. Especially with higher end items. I hope that helps.

amandaconway
amandaconway Thanks so much! Also, I think it's a bit hard to shop. For instance I wanted to find a mans Rolex today. All I could get into was men's watches. But I can't scroll down to a million non rolexes. I need to be able to put the exact item I want on search and be able to find it without going through items that don't fit the criteria. Hope they make some improvements on the search.

amandaconway And how do we get into these groups if I'm following the rules?
Oct 16Reply
amandaconway
amandaconway Also, I'd prefer to browse only through 4 or 5 star sellers as I've seen people selling fake items, not delivering on time, etc. any way to browse like at amazon.com?
