caroline904 @elizmul here are some more photos. No chips or scratches. Looks like it could use cleaning just along the underside of the stone at the setting, but I have seen people say not to clean vintage jewelry. I thought at first this was real topaz because of the prices i was finding when researching, but i am not sure it is and believe it is simulated after further research.

caroline904 @elizmul of course! Lol, when I am not working in my studio I am doing messy activities with kids or digging in the garden, so my hands tell that story. Sometimes i consider shelling out for a mani and gel nails but i'm pretty sure they'd get ruined not long after leaving the salon.

caroline904 Hey @centerfoldvault sorry it took me a bit to answer, I really am swamped this week. The ring is adjustable, it is an old-fashioned style where the bottom part of the band is a shank that fits into the top part and can be pulled out or pushed in to change the size. At the smallest setting the circumference measures approximately 50mm. My pinky is somewhere around a 5 or 5 and 1/2, and it fits nicely. I have found with these adjustable rings the shank will slide a bit while wearing, but the shape is more like a square than a circle so the ring really doesn't spin and you just push the shank back. I also found the patent number and original tag on Pinterest, the stone is smoky topaz quartz, not glass. I think these are so expensive because the patented design of the adjustable part has become rare, and this one is also signed and stamped with the patent numbers . The outside part of the band does not look worn, however, ther is a nick on the gold tone on the inside if you pull the shank all the way out. It is visible on the very last picture here, invisible when worn or not adjusted to the absolute largest the ring will go. Of course you absolutely should make a GW offer if you are interested.
