I made this listing out of sheer annoyance. I shop on posh more than I sell. I buy 7-10 items every week. I have heard so many excuses. The bottom line is if you don't have the time then don't sell! I always ship within 1 days unless it's a Saturday night Or Sunday. Slow shipping complete negates the priority mail concept. Posh set up priority only shipping because they know women are impatient when shopping!! I currently have 7 items that I purchase 5-7 days ago that still haven't shipped.

I had a girl tell me how she goes to school and has two jobs 9 days out on a purchase. Well guess what? If you can't ship it you can't get paid?Being slow serves no one. Besides if you have 2 jobs would you take on a 3rd?

I just had the same issue with 2 poshers, one was @ jewelsdeallegra she never shipped and cancelled my order after a week after giving me some lame excuse. The other one finally shipped after 2 weeks.

@tao123 I have gotten to where I read through at least 10 sold items from someone I am purchasing from. If they have shipping issues it is usually pretty apparent. Also I make sure and talk to them and ask how quick they ship before I purchase. I buy about 10 items a week on posh and I hate waiting and getting the run around. I wish posh had a better seller rating system :( I pay for priority shipping and waiting 2 weeks or more to get something just isn't right.

Back earlier this year I read through a girls stuff who told 10 different people over 8 months that, that week was her grandma's funeral was that weekend and she was out of town. How dumb can a person be? Sold items can't be altered and the comments are immortalized. Lol

@angiecharles oh this makes me SO mad...last Christmas I shopped EARLY and I had to cancel orders on 6 poshers...simply because they didn't ship!!! I mean ...why? There is NO excuse for this anymore because even if a shipper is REALLY ill, dying, fighting with her boyfriend or smoking her crack pipe you can get USPS to PICK it up for you!!! NO EXCUSES

@angiecharles I so agree! I've written to Poshmark asking that they reduce the grace period for shipping. I hate having my funds held hostage for 7 days, when I could buy something else. I'm also finding that the "Average Ship Time" on the seller's page is not always reliable. I encourage everyone to give feedback to PM.

I'm currently waiting on one to send, too! I'm so glad it's not just me. Tired of waiting if I spent so much in shipping. I wish Poshmark would just automatically cancel orders after a specific amount of time and refund the customers.

And here I thought I was the only one who always has this problem...I am more of a shopper on Poshmark and I am getting increasingly frustrated with how long it takes for people to ship. Some people are good about letting me know but so many sellers wait a long time to ship and for the cost of shipping me now have to pay this is really annoying.

going through the same thing with two different posters. The first seller I asked before I purchased if she would be able to ship out ASAP as I was going on vacation the following week and would like to have the item for my vacay she stated she would. It's day 4 and she has yet to ship out. I asked her on day 2 if she had shipped out yet no response. Another seller I purchased from is on day 6 and has yet to ship out on day 4 I asked if she would be shipping out soon and she never responded.

If your not going to ship in a timely manner at least take the time to communicate that with your buyer. I leave tonight and don't have neither of the things I ordered a week ago. What's the point of priority shipping that we as the buyer pay for. This wait seven days policy to cancel needs to be amended asap.

I just made my first purchase 4 days ago on here, probably my last too. I communicated to the posher that the dress was for my vacation coming up and my excitement to get the dress. She said sorry, I've been busy working and she'll send tomorrow (which was yesterday) and today, still not shipped. I'm really anxious and deeply dislike being told one thing, and not keeping your word. Frustrating...eBay and Amazon seem more reliable.

Then she said "my post office takes a day to update shipping information". It's my first time purchasing something from here and not know what steps to take towards poshers like this. @wieo @maciestroh @elijah0420 save yourselves a headache like I do...click on the about bottom at the top of the sellers closet, scroll down and see the sellers "average ship time". Mine is 1 day. This is how I decide if I am going to buy from this seller. I buy 50X more than I sell and have pretty good luck.

I don’t purchase much but my last three have been slow shippers. After paying for priority mail it seems wrong. I’m disappointed and less inclined to buy. I myself ship quickly. Maybe I’ll sell only.

If the seller does not ship within the allowable time frame, they should be responsible for paying the cost of shipping, I think that would encourage the seller to ship in a more timely fashion. If I don't need the item immediately and I have received a good deal on the item, then I am more lenient with the seller, especially if they have communicated the problem to me and have been nice about it!

It's been more than a week and this seller is not shipping. The really messed up part, I just found out she is located about an hour from where I live. I don't even have words. Total waste of $6 expedited shipping for a bracelet.

I ordered a pair of boots and a few hours later I get a cancellation notice, "seller changed mind." Then I see the item re-listed for $30 more. Apparently she found out they were a "rare" color only available in Australia and that she'd lowballed herself. No communication with me, just canxed and relisted. And of course then my refund is held hostage. Second pair of boots from another seller never shipped by 7 days so I canxed and she relisted them. Again, zero communication.

Amen to this post! I ordered something 8 days ago and it still hasn't shipped. The seller had the nerve to mark it as shipped once Posh sent them a shipping reminder and 2 days later, it's still pending USPS scan! I asked what's going on and NOTHING. Disgusting we pay $7 for this. Seller has an average shipping time of 2 days + very few items so this delay alone should affect it! It's unreliable and screwy!! We deserve a full refund for shipping if they take more than a few days.

They are charging way more than it costs to ship the item anyway... I have had too many items never ship because they were unattended accounts.There should be shipping options... and they certainly should never charge expedited to ANYONE since they have no control over the actual shipment from the seller. We will charge you for a service we actual can’t even provide you since WE DON’T HAVE THE ITEM IN OUR POSSESSION!!!

Does postmark do anything to penalize sellers that do not ship the items they list. It is really annoying when you order something.... wait for it to ship... only to not have it ship... and then never be able to contact the seller or have the seller face any consequences.

I'm kinda new to purchasing on Posh but it does seem to take so much longer getting items shipped than when I purchase on other sites. The shipping is not inexpensive, especially if you are getting one small item and there should be a requirement of 3 days before shipment I think. It is annoying. I am much more apt to buy from a fast shipper than someone I have to wait on.

I just wrote Posh letting them know a lot of people are unhappy with the allowable 7 days for shipping. It completely negates paying for priority mail. With my most recent purchase, the seller told me she was going to ship this Wednesday after I said I needed it this weekend. It's Friday and she just shipped it. I ordered it last Saturday!! Then, her shipping time went down from 5 to 4 days. Shipping times are totally inaccurate and seem to defy logic. Let's hope Posh does something about this..

I mean why do these people sell stuff but can’t send it out for delivery, the thing that bugs me the most is wasting my time, I send them messages about the shipment they don’t answer, and I constantly check back to see if they responded but nothing. SUCH A WASTE OF TIME!!!! I’m new to poshmark but you would think after 6 years of being in business there would be some kind of rating system for sellers, Poshmark needs to get with the program. It’s discourages me not to use this app.

@brooke8282 sometimes it takes awhile to update in the system. Chances are it was shipped. Some people print the label and drop it in the blue postal boxes on the street corners and the post office scans it in at night. If she did ship it it should be updated by morning.

@bahpah3 no, it's not the norm. What I do, and WORKS doing this- I 1st make sure the seller has love notes. If 5+ love notes, see if their shipping is 2 days or less. Then, I'll message the buyer to ensure that they are active. If they respond, and they meet the first 2 criteria, you are usually good to go. Also, on their about page, it will tell you when they were last active. If it doesn't say, that means they do not get on much. That's a red flag. Good luck!

I actually had a seller tell me that she won’t give me the dimensions on a bag, because she is “too busy” and had “too many items for sale”! I and other buyers have been asking for months. Really? Why do people sell things and then get annoyed when someone asks a question about the item they are going to spend their hard earned money on?

I have a shipper like this now. I made an offer that she agreed to accept. I'm going out of town so I want the item before Sunday which is 5 days away. She was supposed accept the offer on Monday but waited until Tuesday and when I asked if she'd ship today and she didn't answer. I told her my plans but it just seems like she doesn't care. I'm new and starting to get fed up already. 8 of the 11 items ive purchased are still awaiting shipment. I waited on one for 5 days before the order was suddenly cancelled by the seller because she couldn't FIND the item...
The rest of the orders are on day 6...so much for "priority shipping." I checked to see if the sellers are active, they all have been active everyday. And most of their profiles state their average ship times are 2 days.

I am going through the same situation. It ia now day 6 and the item has not shipped. I contacted the seller twice but have had no response. Poshmark needs to flag these sellers so others can avoid the same situation. I don't think I will purchase from here again. It is not worth the aggravation.

5 hours ago. I guess PM cancelled the sale bc it had been 7 days. The funds should not be tied up until that package is scanned at the PO! This works for other online platforms! The seller should have to absorb the difference, deducted from their earmings, if not shipped within "Priority" ;limits.

So glad to hear I'm not the only one experiencing extremely slow shippers. Been waiting over a week and a half and even commented on the sellers page and still...nothing. The best part is she was uploading new listings and was active after i politely asked if it shipped yet. Nearly every person had shipping issues with this girl!! She always claimed that she doesn't use the app a lot. Okay so why the heck should she be selling stuff??

I had a recent purchase that i made an offer on and the seller responded and accepted then immediately - the label was created and shown as awaiting post office scan. Nearly 2 weeks later I went on PM and saw that the seller had deleted all their items and their account. Needless to say I got my refund but what the heck? On ebay I know that sellers get marked down if they don't ship within days stated and if the item is shipped late. There doesn't seem to be any accountability.

Omg! I just googled this because I have just recently started buying on Poshmark. My very first order took seven days until I messaged the seller and asked if they were being shipped. He blamed Poshmark for not notifying him! Now I’ve bought at least 20 items since then (only been a month since I started shopping) and am getting ready to cancel 2 orders due to it being almost 8 days and still awaiting shipment😡

It has now been two and a half weeks since I placed my order and I just got an email from Poshmark saying that they canceled my order. When I went to the sellers page all of her items were gone. Is that something that Poshmark does if you take too long to ship or did the girl just decide she’s done? This was my first order so I’m very confused.

@mcdowell4 that is preposterous! I’m sorry, but what the hell?! I primarily sell on Poshmark and when I get a sale it’s my #1 priority to get it out the door. If I see the mail truck down the street I mentally calculate how fast I can get it out in time. I’m a same day shipper and in my opinion when you pay 6.99 or close to it then it should fly out the door! Geez. I’m sorry your experience is so bad. No all of us our this way ☹️

It would be one thing if the postage weren't so darned expensive but expedited shipping is pointless when the seller takes 7 days. At that point I could wait a few more days...

I'm currently experiencing a slow shipper. I ordered last Sunday and received no shipping updates.I'm traveling next week and was hoping to have my item before then which seems highly unlikely now...Also why the hell are we forced to pay for "expedited shipping" a $6.49 charge for it to come extra slow. Just awful, I have 2 of 3 orders still pending after PM notification that they were past due and the one that came was disgusting, The backpack arrived and I could hear things rattling around in the box, when I opened it there was garbage that had been left in the backpack in the box. Seriously, they picked it up at the goodwill (it had the goodwill smell) & didn’t even shake it out, no less clean it. I’m pretty new, thanks for letting me vent

@xcicee you can cancel after 7 days. And yes without an average ship time you can assume they just started selling and items are in transit or they are flaming and don’t ship out. Go into the item and select the cancel. Sometimes Poshmarks 7 days is measured a little different than what we think is 7 days

Every purchase I have made, I have had to cancel. Poshmark should disable inactive 'sellers'. I get no response from these sellers at all, and I end up cancelling after waiting for over a week for them to respond in some kind of way, then I end up having to cancel. This site is USELESS.

Amen! I've been waiting on a seller for two weeks to ship me a pair of shoes, and she always has excuses, then tells me she's going to ship soon. Poshmark will cancel the order for me in another week and give me my money back. But this is literally my first time ordering on Poshmark, and after this experience and seeing here how often it happens, I won't be buying anything else from this site. Depop, eBay and Etsy are so much better.

I’ve had 5 great transactions with immediate shipping, but lately have been waiting 5 days for some. Once it hits day 7 I’m cancelling. I think Poshmark should deactivate inactive accounts, so you don’t waste time submitting offers or orders to closets that the seller doesn’t log in to. Also possibly reduce the cancellation time to 5 days :/

Not only did she repeatedly lie about when she would ship my item out, she also NEVER sent the item out, and then blocked me after I canceled my order and gave me a lame response about how she was still out of town and couldn't ship my order. Extremely annoyed with slow shippers. I had purchased a pair of glasses for $18 nearly 2 WEEKS ago. On the 6th day of not being shipped, the tracker was changed to “pending usps scan”. Then, on the 9th day it still said pending scan so I contacted the seller who replied the next day saying she just shipped it out the day before.

Now today is the 12th day, still says pending scan, so I contacted the seller again, but while waiting for her reply I noticed that on nearly EVERY sold listing in her closet, there’s a buyer upset about her shipping time . Some mentioned 10 days to ship, some mentioned 7 or etc. She had an excuse every time. A couple were because of school, but mostly she said she was on vacation.

Happening to me right now I requested a shipment reply and have yet to hear anything although I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt. Poshmark has even sent a reminder after I posed the question. Made a purchase on Monday and haven't heard anything from the seller.

I'm having this issue right now with 2 different sellers I purchased items from. Why even bother selling if you aren't going to ship the item since the seller doesn't get the money until the buyer receives/accepts the purchase? The only way to contact the seller about your purchase is to contact them via the listing, and the sellers aren't responding. PM should remove the unreliable or unresponsive sellers from the site.

Wow, I didn't know this was such a problem. Wish there was some type of course as I see its mainly new buyers that are getting duped on the shipping times. Feel sorry for those who have experienced this.

I am having the same issues , it has been 8 days the seller keeps telling me that the item has been shipped but its still waiting to be shipped . This is my first time purchasing on PM and probably my last!

Great post, I am in that situation now. One of the 9 sellers I made multiple purchases with finally shiped. Another had not only not shipped though it's been 5 days, (yes the post office is open Sat), and she ignored my 2 polite inquiries. Posh even sent her a notice -nothing, but she has been online buying. As we all know Posh takes our money instantly, in fact, a lot of their business is run on this float.....

So if she isn't motivated by the under $20 cost, and consideration we all pay rip-off PRIORITY shipping, when due to these lazy rude sellers, we wait what should be bulk rate prces, or Posh should refund shipping, and make outcomes more serious for these individuals who stress us out, and make us wait! I have had so many with different excuses, I don't care-then disable it your are "terminally ill", or "away", that's what the feature is for!!

Uggh😬😟😤. Seriously, just don't sell. And if it's not enough money, then list higher, (and that isn't always the case, I've had huge purchases delayed), at least reassure the buyer by acknowledging them! This problem is as much a Posh problem. As they want to keep all our money as float, and ensure they get their fees, and kickback from USPS contract. If they made this the real issue it is, enacted proper punative measures, and concessions for buyers, maybe we all would be satisfied

I'm having an issue with a late shipper right now. I purchased an item 6 days ago and the item still hasn't shipped. I messaged the seller prior to purchasing if the item was still available and she confirmed it was. I noticed the same item had been listed prior and showed the item sold. Apparently, she let the time lapse so long and the buyer cancelled after 7 days. She then relisted it. Why would she relist an item if she has no plans to ship it, like the first time.

I am new to poshmark and I ordered something 12 days ago the seller has not replied to any comments or shipped. Im about to cancel my account and my order smh even though she has been active online 4 days in a row 😠

@angiecharles any advice on what to do when I paid $650 for a purse over a week ago and the seller is literally is so inactive on her account she just realized that she sold it. She told me the day I bought it she would ship it out that day, then a week later apologized for being out of town and that she would ship it out yesterday.....NOW IM STILL waiting for her to ship the item.... I don't want to cancel because I want the bag... but this is ridiculous.

@angiecharles I have tried contacting poshmark to see if theres any way to get ahold of her and I'm not getting any responses. I don't know how else to get ahold of her to tell her to ship it....

The worst is when you spend over a grand on an item and have to sit and wait, hoping they ship in a reasonable time. I check every day to see if the seller has been active. It really sucks when you can see they have been active multiple times but have not at all acknowledged your purchase OR shipped it. Would be nice if Poshmark implemented a very simple way for sellers to let their buyer know they have seen the purchase instead of just letting us know when it has been shipped.

@angiecharles out of necessity. some people don't have a choice, however if the seller is communicative with the buyer, there wouldn't be a problem.

Thx for posting this! I'm so irritated with this site. I bought a Chanel pendant that after 11 days she still hadn't shipped so I cancelled for a refund. Now I have 2 shoe purchases pending... 6 & 7 days ago and NO shipping notices. Why do these people post stuff for sale if they're not willing to complete the sale and SHIP the items??! If these sales don't go through, I will no longer use this site. Poshmark needs to penalize people that are wasting everyone's time and bar them from the site.

This is what keeps me wary from buying! I've only been selling so far and have been hesitant on buying. I usually ship out same say unless the post office is closed and I do first thing the next day. I know how hard it sucks to wait for someone to ship. I hope u ladies find better posh sellers!

@brownmoose that was my question today to Poshmark. Worse yet, I’ve checked and the seller has been active regularly so is basically ignoring my questions and not shipping my purchase. And their About says their average ship time is one day. I’m not sure what is going on but this is not okay.

@bluewaver yea I just ended up telling her to cancel if she wasn’t going to ship. She did cancel immediately after that, most likely she knew I’d give her bad feedback. She probably would have shipped if I’d given some extra time but she didn’t have to lie and say she already shipped! Well it definitely wasn’t worth it for me, no item is worth all that. Plus it’s her loss lol

Wow i was thinking exactly that, and you know what’s worse, sellers that don’t disclose the condition of the item nor respond to any question you ask about it ! Exactly what you said if you don’t have time, don’t sell! Is so rude also.

Hi! I shipped an item out and the shipping says Usps In Possession Of Item, March 28, 2018, 5:25 pm, and it still hasn't left my area. What does this mean? I don't think I have ever had anything like this happen before when I've shipped an item? (Sorry if this isn't appropriate for this thread, just wasn't sure where to go!)

I think there are multiple problems. As a seller, I get irritated that Poshmark's tracking isn't accurate. I have items that show are out for delivery, but PM still shows they're at the post office. My other irritation is that PM doesn't make items unavailable for accounts that haven't been active for six months. I think that's PMs responsibility. How do they know the person hasn't died? PM won't cancel the item either, they'll make you wait the full seven days.

I have a problem with the buyers being online lol I go to there page under about and it shows when they were last on 😄 okay, so if you have time to get on here, I know you can see your notifications LOL another buyer accepted my offer but it’s been 5 days lol why accept if you don’t have time! Totally happy to see this post. I am new and the first or second purchase was the same....two weeks before mailed. Why am I forced to pay priority shipping if the seller is allowed to take so long, what good does priority do me? Also, why do sellers not respond to questions posted about items or have a make an offer button if they aren't taking offers? Confused....

Smdh. I wish Poshmark would remove people who have issues with not shipping all together.

Love this post. This happens more often than you expect. One in 3 orders of mine. So annoying. All that anticipation of receiving a cute dress only to have to cancel the order because the seller chooses to ignore your request for updates on shipping. Yep, the same seller is online right about when you posted that message. Good to know it is a common problem but definitely sad.

Having this problem currently. I am annoyed. I have a weekend getaway next weekend and need my purchase. It's been 4 days with no response and I feel it's been adequate time for the person to ship. I'd rather have the item then cancel and get my money back, at this point I'm beyond annoyed.

This has happened with my last 2 purchase. I’ve been buying from Poshmark for years and it has never happened until recently. I wonder if it has anything about buyers not being able to see sellers ratings or reviews anymore? I really do not think this is fair to the buyers.

I am one of the original Ebayers (1995) and only one time in 3000+ purchases did a seller not ship. I bought something here for the first time and 4 days later not a peep from the seller. Very disappointing. I wish I had found the item on Ebay, but of course this was the only place I found it....😡

I finally had to cancel my last two orders due to no response from sellers. I just don’t get it. I could tell from their profile that they both had been on Poshmark since I purchased but would not respond to my comments or ship my item. Ridiculous!

I purchased a pair of all white LeBron 13 lows. Looked perfectly fine in the photo. Kept saying he would send. Day 7 came, and he refunded me. Said he always “Washes his shoes IN A WASHING MACHINE before sending out, and he accidentally put a blue towel in with them.”
White shoes. Who washes shoes in a washing machine?!
He must have gotten a bite in his craigslist add for them I saw later, for his city.
