A lot of people are being taken advantage of when it comes to sales, trading, and returns. I had a girl buy my item, "return" it and when I opened the package she sent me a roll of pennies. I saw where another girl had her item damaged and returned to her, another person traded and the person she traded with did not send her what was promised. Posh has not initiated anything to protect us, so I'm protecting myself. I suggest you do the same.

slimqt26 @coachmama one I tagged above traded some very expensive items for a designer bag and the girl sent her 2 cheap bags from like target. Trading is risky if you don't know the trader.

alexanderseth My closet is empty because I do not have a closet. I think posh opens a closet when you sign up to buy things just in case I want to sell. I have ordered probably a hundred items on Poshmark and never returned one. I really love these shoes and I can't wait to get them, but if you don't want to send them that's fine. . slimqt26 @streetsm98 you just need to be real careful with selling, and trading. It's not monitored what's being sent back to you on a return or what's being sent to you in a trade. I've have no issues buying off of here.

drewblakley I had someone recently try to trade me a used louis for a pair of loubs in my closet last week, she said she shipped Monday so decided to wait on my shipping confirmation before I shipped (thank goodness) and she never even intended to ship, I still haven't heard from her. Her closet look legit and everything. I also had a girl send me some "vintage Valentino boots" that came and clearly were a pair of Dan Post boots. It's really disappointing is what it is, so sorry all that happened to you @slimqt26

blue_bee Posh makes me so nervous now! I've only met one honest seller out off all my purchases. I bought a NWT Kate Spades pretzel wristlet and was so excited, came with a missing stone, stain and cracked leather. It took weeks for posh to finally giving me a return post and them only gave me 24 hours to ship! I was in college taking finals and couldn't, now im stuck with a damaged wristlet that I paid to much for. Just the other day I bought timberlands from a girl that said they are in perfect condition, opened the box to find a huge slash across on of the boots, so disappointing. Now waiting for posh to review my case. I've had other things happen but these were thr worst. Probably going to leave posh, they take 20 percent from us and then dont even protect us. Plus so many people lie.

martmari Wow I have noticed that people do sometimes get scammed on here by trading but have never heard about this with the sales. I don't have anything in my closet because I have nothing to sell. I am basically on here looking for good bargains. I see this as kind of like the Internet thrift store. I will be aware if I decide to sell stuff since I am kind of new to posh. So far my experience has been okay with the buying. Thanks for the looking out!

shopwithvee207 Um, pretty sure "Posh Protect" is meant to protect us when we're buying and selling? I've only had one issue where an item was SERIOUSLY not as described, and Posh reviewed my case and got me my refund within a week. I made the decision not to trade, because I head horror stories when I first started, and I'm so glad I did. Too much hassle. Posh's customer service is excellent! And, obviously, that's why they take a 20% cut! That money goes towards keeping shipping prices low and keeping a smooth-running app with great customer service. Look at other apps-I've heard even worse stories from a certain one that starts with "M". I think my biggest pet peeve is fakes-I report them all the time! I've bought and sold LV on here, and it sucks to see how many fakes are out there. Not only are they not allowed here, but IT'S ILLEGAL TO BUY AND SELL THEM. In theory, if you can't get anything out of Posh if you're sold one (which I doubt would happen) you can press criminal charges.

Good for you that you haven't been scammed. But I have so this is my way in taking precaution. You don't have to agree nor disagree. I can really care less about your experience because I know what I've experienced. So as I've stated I'm taking precaution for me. No one is insisting that you do anything. You just continue on about your business. Thanks.

slimqt26 @rizzo1775 well clearly you tried to down play my experience and as well as some of the other poshers experiences mentioned above by saying we are "protected" when we've been scammed and taken advantage of. It's not for you to down play what happened to us. If you haven't had a bad experience good for you. But there's no need to try to make out like we are lying about what happened to us. There are good people on here and those are the ppl I buy sell and trade with. But there are also scammers.

fairlygirly Posh doesn't monitor returns?? Seriously?!?! Wow... I had no idea. I am SOO glad I stumbled across this post!! I haven't had a return yet, so what happens when someone does file a claim and get a return approved? I know Posh gives them a shipping label. Do we as sellers have to "accept" that we received everything like buyers do when they receive the initial package? I've been burned a couple times in trades, but thankfully each time I was able to save my stuff! Just recently, I had a Posher send fake NARS eyeshadow duos to me, but I was able to get USPS to intercept my package. It cost me over $20 to do that though, UGH! The other trade that went sour is kinda still going on... the Posher said she was going to ship, and didn't do it that day and I kinda had a bad feeling about it so when I took my package to be shipped, I paid for it and got the tracking number and everything, but I asked them to hold it and not release it until I got her tracking number. TWO WEEKS of excuses later, she said she sent hers on a Friday but didn't pay for tracking!!! Then the following week she emailed and asked where my package was and said she just sent hers that day!!! I still haven't received anything so I guess she's just a habitual liar. At least I can get my package back. I've encountered some great Poshers on here, but I'm amazed at how many awful women I've encountered too.

slimqt26 @fairlygirly no. What happened to me is this girl claimed I sent her a damaged purse and posh approved the return. Instead of shipping back my purse she sent me back a bag of pennies, kept my purse and got her money back. (Her name is Astraea btw) once the item is delivered to your house that's it. So basically the seller can steal your item and there's nothing you can do. I stumbled across a girl who sold a very expensive rolex to a guy and because it didn't fit his wife he broke it and damaged it real bad and sent it back to her. It's actually very risky to sell to be honest. I try to develop relationships with ppl on here and only buy sell and trade with those individuals. Like the girl that stole my item, if she truly hated it all she had to do was return it. But she didn't. She also left a review and called me the worst posher ever BUT she kept my item. I started a mail fraud case against her and involved the fbi and that's when posh gave me a refund. It was a hectic mess and they still allowed her to keep her account which is very scary because she's dishonest and very vindictive.

rooxy I also had a claim from a horrible posher. I asked nice and asked her to just return my boots and no there would be no problem. But this posher went on a rampage and said " there no longer your boots" called me the worst posher, keeper harassing me by updating the ratings and changing her page long harassment beef. I contacted posh like 3 times and they never did anything, they said that the buyer has that feature to update and change there comments on the rating as many times they want!

briannaxkelly I saw a girl sell a pair of Lulu Lemon leggings and the buyer said they weren't "authentic" and she sends her back a pair of cheap Walmart leggings or something. She is 15 like me and couldn't get a job yet just trying to make a little extra cash

yardsailor How about YOU walk the talk...ship or refund please! 😳 I joined Posh in July 2016--5 months ago. Of the 20 bundles I have bought, there have been problems with 9! From dirty and smelly items to fakes to sellers sending wrong items and not caring--it sucks. On the other hand I have "met" some great Poshers--leaned a lot--and found awesome deals. Hey Slimqt--how about sending the TR jeans I bought 11/4--it is now 11/10-11/11 and no word from you--please ship or refund...
