Hey chica! How have you been doing? Curious about this blouse (I just bought one in blue and in the same size. Worrying a bit about how it'll fit me reading some reviews online). Besides the strap issue you experienced, how did it fit otherwise?

@jabberwocky Hi hi! I'm ok, how are you holding up in the snow?
Ok, so I initially had this in a 0, which was just too small, and I couldn't close it, but the strap length was perfect. So I got it in a 2, which is a great fit (cleavage baring, but well fitted) except the straps are way way too long. One day I will have time to cut out a section of the lace pattern and stitch the straps, but for now it's going to be here just in case. I'm not sure how it can be altered otherwise. The embroidered straps are all a continuous piece.

Ahh, so grateful to have your thoughts! :) I really appreciate it especially since I think we have pretty much the same bodyshape. I'm glad I didn't get this in a 0, then! I am hoping the strap issue won't be a problem, but it sounds like I'll have to try to mimic your alteration idea. Could you tuck in the excess into the back of the tank and resew it doubled back on itself?

@jabberwocky Agreed-- I'll probably be asking you questions at some point. The reviews for the blouse were kind of useless to me, so I ended up with a 0. I don't have it anymore, but I'm pretty sure it was for a 23" waist, and squashing a 24" waist.
My bone structure is light, and long straps are a constant problem for me. Hopefully the tank is a little different from this and doesn't cause this problem for you? The production batch is probably different. Idon't know if tucking the excess into the back of the tank would look very good-- if you look at the pictures of the top closely, you'll see that the whole neckline and straps are actually a continuous piece of trim in a repeating pattern. There aren't any seams where excess can be tucked without being obvious. My idea is to just cut out at least one repeating section, and hand sewing the ends back together. I think the very top of the straps would be the best place to do it. If you come up with another idea, let me know? My idea is going to take so much time!

@mallerians Is this sheer though the straps? It's hard to tell - would you need a cami? Thanks!

mallerians
@ehm Hi-- it's a pale delicate cotton. The straps have cutouts, but no sheer pieces. I personally wouldn't wear a camisole, just a nude bra, but a camisole would work too.

Of course, if there is anything I can do to answer fit questions I will try :D I don't think mine is set to come for a few days but will keep you updated. I have experienced pretty wide differences in sizing from Anthro, even though they're supposed to be identical items with the same size... so fingers crossed. If I think of anything, I will let you know! :)

Hi friend~ In a bout of foolishness, sent my blue blouse to my California address, so I haven't even tried mine on yet, haha. I am getting a white one shipped to me directly so I'll let you know what I glean from that try-on :)
