mkcg67 Love your story. After being married for 22 years I divorced bc I just wasn't in love w him anymore. Have 3 beautiful kids though. 2 yrs later I meet a man that I feel God made just for me. He pursued me. He was separated waiting for the papers. I knew I shouldn't have gotten involved w him as soon as he told me that....but the connection we had and the way he made me feel....like he was my other half. After only a few months he went back to his wife bc of their two young girls. He was miserable wo his girls and had to give it another shot bc of them. I totally understand this. He is there for his girls, not his wife-she is the one who wanted the divorce-and will again eventually. He still txts me every couple weeks and I recently told him he had to stop. It just hurts too bad. But I, like you, am having trouble moving on bc I so strongly feel we are meant to be together. I stayed w a man I didn't truly love for years bc of our kids. He may do the same thing. I can so feel your pain you went through- I'm doing it now. It stinks lol. But your story gives me some hope. So glad your story has a happy ending. As much as I'm sure you are happy to move on, I still know that must have been one of the most difficult things to go through. What a wonderful feeling it must have been to have met this new love. I can only imagine the amount of joy and school girl you must have felt inside. How truly special. Then the day came where you were left with your arms wide open and your love not in them and I KNOW you were torn to shreds inside. Please have faith if you TRULY believe you two are meant to share your lives together. I never for one day lost that faith and it was the best thing I ever held onto. I feel for you and I know you are in a different stage of life than I was during this time, so that will play into things. You need to be happy and you just need to ask yourself if he has the strength to come back to your arms.

mrsperkins @cmjla Oh Cynthia, I'm sorry if you are in a hard place with love. Gosh, I know that is SO difficult, it's the most heart wrenching. You can fight with family or children and it's always safe, they will love u just as much. Lovers is a completely different situation. You are always working hard and trying to make both people happy because you know you don't have to love each other. You know that you are never 100% safe. It's finding that place in the relationship where the thoughts and questions like that don't even enter the mind. Find someone that lives for YOU. women are always living for their men. If you are with someone who lives for themselves and you are living for them, than who is living for you?

I love to hear others happily ever after sad I am living my own, my high school boyfriend and I were married, two kids and his career took him away from home months at a time so we eventually divorced after several years together. We were apart for two years during a painful divorce but 3 months after finalizing we were back together and five years later we are planning our second wedding with our children who are also very excited. It's been quite a roller coaster but I wouldn't have it any other way, we are happier now than we have ever been and he truly is my best friend and soul mate. Gotta love a good love story😘

He just wasn't mature enough for the relationship yet. He needed to date other women to truly see what we had and I knew that. A marriage isn't going to stop you career wise from moving on, it can only help in my opinion (unless you are trying to become an actor/actress or something). Financially if possible, it would move mountains if you moved out. And of course, I am here anytime. 😊

What about his friends, are majority of them married or single? These questions are pretty important when thinking about all of this. A man that is surrounded by married friends, in a good relationship and has his family also pushing for marriage is more likely to step fully into that mind frame.

There were days, weeks, months that it was all I could dream about. You need to have the happiness inside that marriage provides, it gives you stability, calm, security and most of all you feel safe in knowing you have a lifetime partner.

mrsperkins @elizabeth04 One important thing that happen was, when I gave him his space, I truly did just that. I never text, called, emailed, no drunk calls and hang ups, nothing. I gave him the true meaning of space and allowed him to fully have the capability of moving on. He dated another woman for about 5 months even. Buy a year later on his birthday, when HE WAS READY, he made the first contact & reached out and that out power & confidence back into my hands to allow me to hold my own.
