meboutique @mistyheart I couldn't resist! Some of these offers are just ridiculous. I had one person who kept posting on my items that she could get something I have listed for $29 at Walmart for $8. And then kept offering $11. She finally would come up to $17 and then would comment if I don't take it she will buy it on rBay for that price! I had to end listings because of her nasty comments! Needless to say she is blocked! I just don't understand some of these people!

blushngloss This thread is so true. I had someone ask me "Is this really $100?". I responded, "yes, are you interested?" and haven't heard back as of yet, but I thought that was unacceptable. I'm new to Posh and am selling my own personal clothes and shoes, and should have the right to charge whatever I believe they are worth to me. meboutique @blushngloss I am new to selling on Posh as well, only since December. I have met some absolutely amazing women on here and for the most part it has been a great experience. I am trying not to let the nasty few overshadow the good! Posh is all about sharing and fashion and I think as long as you and I can keep that (along with the "block this person" feature) in our minds it will be a great experience for both of us!

douii thank you for your post! after a week of going back and forth with a buyer, she asked me to meet at a happy medium with the price. i told her ill accept her price and just make me an offer. she wanted me to edit my price instead, which i had no idea why but did it anyways thinking she'll buy it right away. after i lowered my price, she then came back to me and told me she was hoping shipping would be cheaper and that i'll need to lower it more. WTF?! i had to take down my listing and repost again so i can put it back up at my original price. still fuming over here ! i need to learn how to block these ppl.

I have blocked before but only for rude and hateful pushers. Ones that low ball I just ignore or sometimes write a note explaining that the item is NEW WITH TAGS AND NO WAY WILL I NEGOTIATE A RIDICULOUS OFFER. it is irritating though. wade1953 @meboutique That's what I do very often. If they lowball on the offer button I just keep countering at my set amount and they usually decline my counter eventually. Or I just decline their offer and they stop. So you are iced in? Where are you from? I'm assuming NE somewhere? We have a house in IL for summer but spend winter months in TX. I carry my closet when we travel and my husband loves it. Lol!!

meboutique @wade1953 Actually my hook hand is coming in very useful for tearing down sheet rock and ripping the floors up. I have a moving company coming today to remove all the furniture from the room which was pretty much destroyed along with a huge antique oriental rug! Thank goodness for insurance. If the movers made me mad I will just accidentally hook one in the head. "Oops! I'm so sorry, but this is a new hook and I'm just so clumsy with it right now. I didn't really mean to take your ear off." And I went out and bought brand new furniture as an excuse. Going to move my current master bedroom furniture around to replace the damaged stuff. So the floor has allowed for some serious retail therapy!

You know living on a golf course in Knoxville TN yak attacks and crocodile attacks are quite frequent. I think this may save many lives. jjsass I'm new here as well and so far my experiences have been good, but there have been a few times where I just shake my head- most of the stuff I sell are new with tags and I price them at least 50% off. Initially when I get lowball offers I try to be polite and let them know my bottom price, but I think sometimes the expectation here is that you will sell for way way way less then your already discounted listed price. Am I the only one that feels this way?

It can be a great tool but you really never know what you will come across. I know you girls work hard on your closets and your pictures are nice. I hope they come up with an auto reject feature that we can enter our lowest acceptable offer and if someone offers less we don't even know because it will automatically reject the fools! thefunkyroyals Sorry for the rant, I share in your frustrations & think Posh should step up &make some sort of statement on how uncool it is for people to act like this. All my items are new w/tags, I list them at 50-75% of what I paid. When I discount it even more like in bundles or running a sale it doesn't leave much left & Posh still takes 20%. I think when we further discount our items Posh should also by taking a little less. I sure wish people would get a brain & think about this stuff! Great post!

meboutique @royalfunkies It would be great if Posh would start an auto reject option for the make an offer button. The seller sets the threshold for what is a reject offer and then when someone offers too low the seller doesn't have to see it and feel insulted.

corvidium @meboutique tried putting Price Firm unless bundled etc on every listing but that made no difference at all and it made me even more irritated because it wasn't just low balling, now it was not reading and low balling. My mom always says the best negotiations are when 2 people are slightly disappointed she's a lawyer. As far as being educated about posh etiquette it only states show love to your fellow style mates closets!

millerlites Sad but true! The worst part is that the people who offer $10 on a $40 listing are the ones who end up giving a bad rating! My listings are always 100% accurate to what I'm selling but I guess it's fine to just give me 3 stars after I gave you 80% off because really I'm just here to get my clothes to someone who WANTS them instead of throwing it out (and sure make a little extra money.😉)

It makes me crazy when I post pictures of exactly how something looks and then the reason I get docked stars is because they have a problem with how it looks. And of course I just got an offer for half my asking price on another item.. 🙄

She still kept going, so I went to her closed and posted on her about page to stop now that it is rude and insulting. Of course she says only I think so that nobody else has reacted that way. ern2965 @meboutique This is hysterical, but all too true. I had some truly fugly makeup brushes I got as a gift listed for $28 ($40 at Target). I thought that was reasonable, but got 3 really low offers from the same person, who then got snippy and said "could you at least respond?" so i did with price is firm. She then chastized me for not making that clear in my listing! sorry, but if I decline your 3 low offers, perhaps that means I won't budge? In the end, she bought at my price.

To block so,some just go on your mobile device & in the top right corner of the person's closet you will see box with an arrow. Click on it & the option is there to block.

meboutique @ern2965 I traded 1 time & will NEVER do it again. It is not supported by Posh so if you don't get what you thought you were getting there is no recourse. I sent out my item & what I received was basically something that belonged in Goodwill, & they has it listed as new without tags. It was a $400 lesson!

And like I said, I just don't trust it plus, as you said, not supported so you can easily be scammed. So far since August, I've sold a ton, without issue, and bought a few things, no issue.

sammiej1983 I read those HORRIBLE comments, btw, and the pregnant girl is selling all knock-off bags, which I think speaks to her integrity and morality in general - also, she is pricing her closet like she works at Goodwill and just hanging her goods on a door handle to photograph them, which may explain why she thinks everything should be dirt cheap (along with the fact that she wouldn't have any idea what real designer items cost!).

sammiej1983 I post on 7 apps total and EVERY one of them has this lowball problem! When I saw your "price firm" in each of your listings, I knew you were getting it bad!!! I say price is firm and no trades! And I still get SO much of it. I find Poshmark to be better than others (if you can believe it) - though, Trad*esy might be the best on the front. As a seller, you can choose whether to accept offers, so I've chosen not to! BUT they still have a messaging function, so some trickle in that way...

Price is firm literally doesn't register! I agree that people don't read. I don't know why I put so much effort into creating detailed listings since people ask me questions that are answered in the freaking listing!!!

In my case, I grab a bunch of purses when I find a good sale, and I just pass along the sale for those who missed it, and I clearly state that I'll be returning for a full refund in 30 days, and I still get lowballers!!! It's like, why would I subsidize your designer bag?!?! It makes no sense!!!

Which is honestly where I make the majority of my sales (even from PMers!), because their shipping is cheaper too! M is another story though!!! Talk about lowballers! It's FULL of them! sammiej1983 I guess part of the reason I have to be on M is that I also deal in cell phones and cell phone accessories. And it's the only app that offers SOME protection on ALL goods - not just fashion... I believe. Though I suppose I should check out the big marketplaces like E and A!

littleb1rd @chocolatte469 agreed. Many PMers seem to be consigners. Some are on here to declutter (me me meeeeeeeeeeee). Personally, I don't take a low offer as an insult. It gives us all a place to start! I get some people may be rude and unreasonable, but that's a whole different matter IMO.
