vintageretroroc @heatherbradley Ahhh yes, bad photos a common mistake. Also, pricing is very important but it can be difficult. One needs to do the research first before pricing. kaylinml Thanks @heatherbradley for the tag! @vintageretroroc I'm with you guys on bad pictures, but what's worse for me, are no pictures of the actual item. Stock photos are fine, but as a customer - I wanna see that what you have for sale is indeed the same item as the stock photo and see that it's in the condition stated. Pricing is challenging overall. I'm not a fan of seeing items listed at MSRP prices and its used. Basic pricing criteria I use in my closet: condition, brand, and rarity. Low-balling drives me crazy - especially from sellers who are offering less for my NWT item than the price they have listed for the same used item in their closet. Last but not least, questions. Sellers who have clearly been online/updated listings but haven't answered or acknowledged a customers inquiry just seems rude. At least respond and say you'll get measurements/details/ etc when you can. Not responding can cause a lost sale and forms a distrust between seller and customer. Whew! That was a lot! Sorry about that but hope this helped. 😘👍

I hate the low ballers who offer me 90% off the MSRP of a NWT item...that doesn't even include Posh's cut. Also, I can't understand, like you said, why you would only use stock pics for a pre-loved item...especially shoes. I do love the lovely poshers though that just seem to be there for you when you need a little pic-me-up! ...Heidi

vintageretroroc @kaylinml Ahhhhh yes, stock vs actual! Actual is always best AND if you have access to a nice stock photo post it WITH the actual. This builds buyers trust. Listing used items at a retail price...wow! Maybe PM could offer more tips on pricing. This seems to be the biggest issue. Thanks so much for your feedback! Tag others to get in on the conversation if you feel so inclined. Your comments are very informative.

jeweledonyx 1) Pushy sellers no longer frighten me off (newbie, turned a buyer acct into selling 2/15) I just ignore them now: like something & get stalked around w/ wanna buy? interested, etc. It's still irksome 2) all stock photos all the time. I don't mind if exact measurements of a garment are given. I also want disclosure on garment origins. I need to know a LG=US Large, not foreign Large; there is often a difference. So either add a conversion chart from your measuring it or disclose your stock photo is a foreign teenager w/the head cut off. 3) Refusal to answer direct questions by deflecting or being vague. There's every chance I didn't ask correctly, so I'll try again. However, if I ask for a bust measurement and you give me size 14, then give me large? mopie @jeweledonyx Whew! This convo made me feel much better. I come from 20+ years of sales. This forum is so different to me;but after reading this, I feel that I am more on track with thoughts, attitude and professionalism. I just got an offer yesterday for 50 percent off a new item, which I just lowered price on. I was nagged and hassled, then blown off! Who are these people? I don't want to shop in their closet now... I'm now keeping a hand written list of names not to share, buy or sell to. @jeweledonyx, makes me preventative of buyers, where I might need that shipping video coverage!!!! I don't need scary, stressful buyers. Not worth the $7 profit!!!! 💖💋💖THANKS GIRLY SQUIRRLIES! 💖💋💖 I am so grateful for fun, mature and honest conversation! This is a learning curve! 😨

jeweledonyx @mopie You are truly welcome! People I run into here are mostly honest hardworking ladies. Then there are the fruits and nuts. They're everywhere on the internet and Posh is no different. You got a lowball offer. 50% off any fairly priced item is ludicrous unless you just want it gone. I'm nice once, then I'm over it. Make sign: No lowball offers, No negotiations except w/the offer button. Then just say NO, LOL. Last place I'd like you to visit is @queenmum. Look for her notations in her closet about her blog. Visit the blog for the most in-depth & funny compilation of FAQ I've ever seen. It's excellent! Happy Poshing!!

If I want to buy something new that looks like everyone else, I will go to the store. I look here for the unique things!

beesknees17 Ditto everyone about the stock photos. When someone ONLY posts stock photos I won't even consider buying it - it's like selling a used car and only showing shots of a new one makes NO sense whatsoever. Also I notice a lot of people low ball considerably on vintage items here people don't consider the time/effort it takes to find these pieces. A lot of the time you're buying pieces that you will probably not come by on your own. I wish people would appreciate that aspect a bit more.

One that bothers me is sellers who ask to trade, I made several signs through out my closet that I follow all posh rules its even next to user name! No I will not trade! jeweledonyx I started as a buyer; lots did. There r rules on FB, Twitter & etiquette, 4 all social media. Why do sellers think this is a garage sale? No, I don't want ur used undies, ur half used bottle of Chanel, ur eye shadow that's been tested just 1 time, ur used, but clean makeup brushes nor that partially partly used VS bath set u didn't want in 2013. The rules r clear. Can't find? Ask! Don't understand? Get Hooked On Phonics! U have issues! --Kaye 💎🎶💎

I think you are my first serious closet crush!! My pet peeve is when someone describes their item as vintage when it isn't. I giggled out loud at @jeweledonyx comment about "sequence" - though I try not to let it, that really bothers me too. :)

And like you said, people being rude. For some reason, people find it much easier to be outright rude to others online.

footcandy Poshmark Pet Peeve...When you work hard to promptly answer questions from prospective buyers then they promptly ignore you...radio silence. Don't make me jump through hoops then go away. Just say thank you and move on. I hate being in limbo with buyers.

meaganclaire I really want to purchase this item but I wish the seller wouldn't.... List an item and then disappear off the face of the earth! If you're not going to sell on Posh any more, then delete your listings. Or, if you don't check the app much but still want to sell, please change your settings to receive email notifications. That's my biggest posh peeve. 😊 Sometimes I just never hear back from sellers when I ask a question or even make an offer.

colimorg Don't take the time with packaging your purchase. Items are packed haphazardly/sloppy , no thanks of any sort. But same posher's get upset if their items are sent same way.

momoretro I love your closet too. 1) Have received things dirty/stained. One seller said "there is pet hair on my items." Why not try and remove it? 2) have had things arrive WET because seller put item in a priority mail document envelope and not an h2O resistant one. 3)Listings should have minimum info - for ex inseam; vintage coach - no one should sell a w/o a photo/mention of creed (unless it's a pre-creed bag). Great vintage sellers like you have all deets in listing as sizes r different now.

apassgtovintage So many great tips and points here! I agree about blurry photos. I also hate when only 1 photo is posted. We get four and a potential of more if you do collages. I like to see the details! I won't like or buy items that are lackluster with pictures. Another thing that bugs me is when you like a picture and people ask you 3 seconds later if you're interested. At that point they lost me as a buyer. OBVIOUSLY I am interested dope, I liked your item!!!! *eye roll city🙄*

apassgtovintage (Con't)I use my likes to shop. But it's a real turn off for me if I feel like the seller is desperate to make a sale. If you walked into a boutique and the owner followed you around and after each item you looked at asked you if you were interested, you would LEAVE the store, right? It's not etiquette and I often would like to refer people to the etiquette section on each of our dashboards.

sarar54 Current pet peeve: lackluster Suggested Users. Great in theory, but the criteria should be more stringent. 50k followers/25 shares? Come on; share the love! SU with zero items for sale? Useless. SU with nothing but used F21 clothes at 2X MSRP? This lowers the quality of the site. I wish listings were vetted; it feels like there is so much junk to wade through to find the gems. Guess that's the thrill of the hunt haha! 😄 Liking so I can keep checking the comments; great topic!

I wanted to get your feedback based on your comment — typically when someone likes an item, I create a bundle for them with a discounted offer and say thanks so much for the like and stopping by my closet, ask if they have any questions and send them this offer.
