This way you get activity to your closet. I also recommend sharing your items to all theme related parties since this is where the most active users (buyers/sellers) are located at various times of the day. Great start to your closet. :) There is no specific wait time to start selling however in the beginning it can take a while to get the hang of how things work on Poshmark. I checked through your closet. Try adding more pictures to your listings, this may help. Share your closet on a daily basis to your followers. Share others' closets to bring activity to your closet and finally join all theme related parties. Why? Well the most active buyers/sellers are on at this times. chictowear @klynnp92 Hi and great start to your fab closet. :) What is a 'Host Pick?' So every night there is a themed party hosted by several gorgeous ladies. These ladies pick from many closets to showcase to the party. The 'host pick' should meet the appropriate theme. If you are one of the lucky ones with a HP, you are showcased on a separate section of the party and get shares, as well as follows. You might even have a sale! Isn't that neat?! A good way to start is introduce yourself to the hosts so they may take a peek in your closet. You get invited on a daily basis by Poshmark for parties (for following day). chictowear @nataliecherisse You can use any little box the shoes fit in. I like to include tissue paper and a thank you note. You can also try the free priority mail boxes provided bu USPS. Dont use flat rate tho, as shipping charges will increase. Hope this information helps! :)

A good way to thank someone is just by sharing a few items in their closet. This way you may get returned shares or even a few questions on your items. What's key is sharing sharing sharing! chictowear @mtlaurel36 Hi Laurel! Welcome and good job on your first sale! So I see that you just sold your item, so the next step is to package it and send out. So once the recipient receives the item, they inspect and should go onto Poshmark to 'accept' the item. Once they do this, funds will be released to you. If they forget to do this, PM automatically releases funds after 3 days. Once funds have been released to you, you have the option to get it direct deposited into your bank acct or get a check mailed out to you. Hope this helps and happy poshing! :)

chictowear @jalyw well I am happy to hear that you are having a great experience. I enjoy PM as well! :) So I checked out your closet and it looks great overall. A few suggestions: try to add the maximum pictures allowed which is four. I do front, back, side, and close up. Why? Buyers want to see as many pics before purchasing. Another thing, your first two are the brightest so that looks great. Try doing that with the rest of your cover listings. And I did notice that you are thanking everyone who shares or likes, I think the best way to thank them is by sharing back. That is all or else you will tire yourself out, and we dont want that. :) Poshmark is a sharing community so everyone is doing it. Revert your energy to sharing and building your closet. Sales will come thereafter. Overall good job, Joy! :) Hope this helps!

jalyw 😊 I have been making a point of thanking and sharing back! For some reason when I was taking pictures through the app they were coming out fuzzy looking. So I had to go through other ways of getting pics. My two piece suit doesn't look nearly as good in the pics as in person. Thank you for your suggestions and taking the time to look my closet over!

Women's new and used clothing are allowed, jewelry, accessories, handbags, NEW bathing suits with tags, NEW undergarments, and shoes are allowed. Everything else is not permitted. I want you to have great success so lets clean up your closet, first? :) As to trading, Poshmark allows it but doesn't supported it. If you read my conversation with ash_risen, you will see what is allowed to sell. I will also post a list later today or tmrw to make it a little easier to understand. It makes it a little tougher to make a sale with prohibited items. More listings are recommended as well since buyers trust closets with more than 10+ listings. chictowear You're welcome, Marie! I am happy to help! You can 'reserve' a bundle by going to listing and editing. From there go all the way to the bottom right above the 'delete' button and you will have an option to add it as 'for sale' or 'reserve.' Choose 'reserve.' As for bundles, there are many ways to do it but I use two ways to do it. First, I just add the items in each picture slot and include what items they are in the description. Another option: download an app with collage capabilities, you add the pics in the cover photo,add items sold in description and viola! Hope this helps! chictowear @katiegerster Hi Katie and welcome! Since I want you to succeed on Poshmark, I couldnt help but notice that you're selling undergarments without tags. Unfortunately, those items cannot be sold on PM. You will have a harder time making sales because of this. Why? Some buyers only like to purchase from rule abiding closets. You can see my list above of what is/isnt allowed on PM. And to answer your question, you get emailed however there is a new feature right on your app where you can download the label directly from there. chictowear @his_heart Thank you! So I checked out your closet and I see prohibited items. I know I havent included perfumes or lotions in my listings above but I am working on that. It is actually prohibited to send any type of liquid via USPS so obviously (liquid makeup, lotions, nail polish, perfume, etc), cant be sent. You have great items otherwise but I recommend the perfume to be removed for better success on Poshmark. Hope this helps!

chictowear @fireglowgem The same way you share your listing, the window pops up (if on desktop or phone) so the many other social media sites are right below, you just click on them. You can MOST definitely join themed parties. Today for example, there was a jewelry party and everyone was invited to join as long as jewelry is being sold. Everybody has a preference of their own, it all depends on what the individual is looking for. Hope this helps! :)

chictowear @gracedanielle16 sometimes the 'buy' button might be pressed on accident so 'reserved' might appear for a few minutes, too. And when sending a package, you get a shipping label by email from Poshmark. You post on package and you're ready to go.

You probably didnt know but from now on just remember that if you can't technically wear, it's probably not allowed on Poshmark. Hope this information helps! :)

I recommend the removal of these items (please refer to my above listings of what you can sell) to have a better chance of making sales. People tend to trust closets who follow posh rules. As to redeeming your balance...once buyer 'accepts' item/s, funds will then be released to you. Hope this helps! :)

chictowear @beardove sometimes people get confused and message on accident. it happens. Just update the listing again. The only hosts are the ones listed. Next time, if you see a host share your listing during party hours, most likely it will convert to HP.

chictowear You're welcome @beardove If the individual wants to bundle then yes, that is correct to go that route. you can still make new listing if you want. Unfortunately, once you decrease price on a listing, you have to keep decreasing to trigger discounted shipping. You can increase but you wont be able to apply shipping discount unless it meets the additional 10% off to your lowest price.

nataliecherisse I have a question about the price drop discounts. Are you only allowed to drop the price of an item ONCE for the buyers to get discount shipping? Just incase you don't understand my question, the other day I dropped the price of an item by at least 20% and no one bought it, so i wanted to drop the price a little more. But it didn't show up as a discounted item after i did that.. Can you tell me why?

chictowear @nataliecherisse no, you can drop as much as you want as long as you keep dropping the price by 10%. If you drop the price then increase then drop again, it will not show if discount is not from the lowest historical price. Price drop discounts apply for $10+

confidentcloset @lorenad_21 I received a damaged dress back that was in perfect condition when I sent it out. I emailed poshmark support three times about this. The first time I got a generic response completely disregarding my concern. My following emails about my now damaged item revived no response. This is just really poor on poshmarks customer service. I'm not sure where to go from here.

In my opinion, I advise you to video record all your items before sending out bcs you just never know if this could happen and in your case, it happened. Delete video after item has been "accepted."It is a hassle but avoids this type of situation altogether. Look at it as insurance.

chictowear As for contacting PM, it sounds like they made a decision before your subsequent emails. They are basically following protocol-buyer submits a claim, investigate with pictures rcvd by buyer, then make decision. They can't do much once claim has been closed. Again, I am sorry to hear this happened to you but take my advice about recording items for a sense of relief and protecting yourself. To start a bundle, click on the icon in the upper right hand corner of the listing and click "Add to Bundle." Easy as that! Then proceed to view discounts (if any) and purchase options. chictowear @kaylee204 hello and welcome! So here are my pointers. I see that you havent shared your items to your followers or parties. this is imperative to gain success on poshmark. Also, I don't recommend for you to "like": items in order to get seller's attention since this can get you blocked. Larger closets like myself get this a lot. If you are actually interested in an item, then that's fine. I know it's a stretch, but read this entire thread for invaluable information. Hope this helps! :)

chictowear @steelady43 it means that a buyer might add two or more items to cart in hopes of purchasing. In this case, the seller doesn't have to do anything. Sometimes it is done by accident.

ancapano Hello there, and I love your closet! I do have a question though. When I first started here I had sold a perfume not realizing that isn't allowed, it was only that item and I have been very careful ever since. Now I've been here over a year and my page is starting to do well. I'm concerned that maybe the one sale will prevent me from being able to be a suggested user, having host picks, etc. It would really suck to have to start my page all over, I have been working SO hard! Any advice?

alskloset Hi I'm new to poshmark (started my closet yesterday) and have made a sale... do you recommend boxing the item then wrapping and putting it in another box ? or do you usually just wrap the item in tissue paper and make it all pretty then box it to ship? (sorry if this is confusing)

nannerlh Hi Lornead- I'm a newbie and have a question: I'm seeing perfume-cologne-fragrances being sold in great quantity/numbers on Poshmark; some of it by sellers with "high" profiles. What's the deal? How is a relatively long-lived member able to do this and not be banned? Not knowing any better initially, I had four perfume items listed and within 24 hours, I was getting messages regarding prohibited items. Is there some sort of double standard?

jdouce Hi thank you so much for doing this! I'm newer. I keep getting a notification that a particular potential buyer has bundled some items. I check, tjere is no bindle. Items habe bedn " liked". Same thing happened again, same person, same items- not in the bundle section. They have hearts so they were liked. What should I do? Why am I getting notifications of a bundle when I don't have a bundle? I'd appreciate any help thank you so much💕

kat1reese I just bought sunglasses and she said they were new. But the tag on them was broken (it was just half a sticker stuck back on the sunglasses) and there were finger prints all over them. Is there any way to fight this?

chictowear @kalimama07 @kalimama07 men’s items are allowed. Swimsuits w no tags allowed. Children’s allowed. Undergarments no tags needed. Bottoms should be new though. Everything else is correct

I have 2 questions I would love your help with, where is the best place to find stock pictures of an item, and can you recommend an app for all those signs you see in people’s closets advertising sales, bundles, etc.? And of course any suggestions you might have on how I can improve my closet.

chictowear @jdoll1850 hello Julie! Thank you for your kind words, I am happy to help. An app you can try is Canva for all your graphic design needs (easy to use). As for stock images, they may be subject to copyright so it is advisable to ask for permission to use. I hope this helps! yuanrulai Hello Lorena, I shared my items at least 4000 times a day and I give offers to likers and I relist my items every day. I follow so many people everyday and share other's items everyday. BUT I only have very few sales since I joined Poshmark on July 30. I have brand new Free people, forever21, Parisian Work and so on. I have used H&M heeds, xoxo shoes, Vitoria Secret bra. I am so sad… I invested money on clothes but I can’t even get money back not even make extra money.😭

mayte777 I have an etiquette question because that really is important to me. When someone makes you an offer and the screen reads "decline", "counter", or "accept" is it rude or unethical not to respond to those in some manner unless you're accepting? It happens so often, and often I'm considering it, and then as new offers come in it just gets pushed back. I find myself feeling guilty when I realize I didn't respond.

chictowear @mayte777 Hello Mandy! I totally understand what you’re going through. I find that the offer is used by buyers to find out if seller is willing to negotiate. It’s a starting point for most. You want shoppers to keep returning to your closet so it’s best to respond regardless. I had a buyer once who lowballed on an item, I countered, they didn’t buy but returned a week later and offered my original counteroffer. Hope this helps! 💕
