This one of a kind necklace of modern and vintage goodness, handcrafted and modified by yours truly, and hope you can appreciate it as well!The bow is an old, vintage belt buckle made out of a plastic (guessing Lucite??) which I purchased from an antique store because it screamed necklace centerpiece waiting for transformation.Other materials are quality gold tone metal, authentic cream colored leather, and iridescent rhinestone like accents.Length is 21" to 23.5"

This is AMAZING! I was just writing with another posher last night who upcycles jewelry. I have so many broken pieces that I have purposefully purchased in the hopes of finding time to create with, but it has not happened... yet! The downside to having a creative mind and no time to express it is the extraordinary amount of stuff I can accumulate when I allow myself to wonder into a tag sale or thrift store! I swear I need an extra 365 days in a year to even begin doin everything I love/want to do (I also dabble in refurbishing vintage furniture as well), so needless to say Im pretty sure all of my chaotic creativity around the house drives my man nuts! Btw, thanx for appreciating this!! I am quite proud of it, myself n have been sort o bummed by its lack of attention so far on PM..so THANX! @rmccouture I agree, I would love to study jewelry design in my next life and get into repurposing broken and discarded bits and pieces. I saw some sweet little picture frames at Etsy that were covered with 1940s-50s brooches and earrings in a monochromatic theme, say all ivory ones or all navy, and I thought what a great way to frame old photos of the aunts who wore those pieces. But I knew that if I started a project like that, I'd obsess over it and then abandon it.

Great to meet you too! And np on the shares - you have lots of cute things, and I love finding indie designers on here. 😁 It almost makes up for not being able to buy more cool stuff! (almost...) I will actually HAVE listings up at SOME point (life keeps interfering with the last stretch of work on it), though what I'm going to be selling looks absolutely banal compared to the closets I lust after on Posh. 😜 Post more jewelry! If I could swing it, I'd buy this necklace, but, you know, food and electricity and all that boring etc. I'll keep an eye on it, tho. While I'll be sad if I miss out on it, someone will definitely enjoy it!

Thanks for the encouragement. I haven't sold anything yet but I'm having fun and it has inspired me to start cleaning out my studio and get a few things finished to list. I don't want to loose track of you. I have tried to put closet names in the search bar to refind them from my list but it mostly comes up no listing. What's that about? We need a separate list for keepers. :)

First, thanks for all your likes. LOVE your designs and you write beautifully as well. I have a feeling the two of us in a room (castle?)!w our treasures would be dangerous. I, too, have so many things I want to create w my 1000s of broken jewelry pieces. Plus, I'm a journalist whose created a bunch of publications and I'm seriously considering creating a website dedicated to those who resell and buy treasures at garage sales, onlineetc.

People could share their "watch out for" tales; I'd explain the dealio of all the places out there to sell your things; a forum would allow people to talk about everything and ask questions etc. then I'd link to everyone I featured. So here's my thought: you would be a fabulous contributor! So think about that idea if u don't mind (you had me at describing your necklace at very "will she won't she"). Anyway, BRAVO!

My husband is on the verge of recommending me for "Hoarders." What can I say? Where he sees "crap" I see opportunity and actually feel badly about letting things with history to (I'm probably the only person in the world weird enough to buy 4 hand painted ornaments at a garage sale w the names of mom, dad and the family pets on them; worse, I hung them on my tree for years to "keep the family together!" :-))))

@scarlettstained Not quite, no ball..its actually a cap the goes over wood n I believe it has four toes (or whatever they are exactly😄) n is more of a u shape..sure that doesnt make a whole lotta sense, so if u think u might (theyre made o brass), I can take a pic for u tomorrow😁
