designsbyjenna @gnrstreasures Yes, I understand. They take tremendous time (& money) to make and keep, but since they aren't currently in fashion people who don't know about them de-value them. Total TMI, lol, but I had a friend from Russia who made wool felt and velvet hats, designed by her friend which sold at Barney's. They were really difficult to make, but she has talent. Quality supplies were$$$. At the time, close to 20 yrs ago, they sold at Barney's for $450 I think? Gorgeous.

designsbyjenna @gnrstreasures Yes, I do understand. That was actually why I shared two of your hats--more exposure. Esp the younger generation has no clue unless they are taught. I have vintage hats too. They are mostly in boxes. I don't have any of my grandmother's wooden forms left 😥. Oh, and I have one of those Barney's hats my friend made just for me 😃. They have the right idea in England. I really think it's about the "dressing down" of our whole culture. We could stand to look nicer more often!
