lakeforest This 500 character limit drives me batty, OY!!! So I have to do many short paragraphs😱Don't worry about being so particular in what you share from others closets. I lost track long ago of who I'm following & with so many newbies everyday, it's just impossible. Do I like everything I share? Of course not, but it's a courtesy issue. It's a good way of getting someone else to go into your closet & they'll share back most of the time & vice versa.

lakeforest I have a mentor here, vacat, who told me long ago that besides sharing a few things from other women's closets, be sure to share your own items often during the day. I used to be concerned too about what I was sharing but she told me that if I became OCD about it, I'd never make a sale, lol! She was right! Since the "scene" here moves so fast, we just roll with it you know? Don't ever worry about getting behind in shares too b/c stuff happens that's out of our control!

lakeforest I signed up here in Aug 2013 but didn't even start selling until 9 mos later. Knowing I lost all those months, I ended up playing catch up last Fall to get my #s up. Now I've become complacent again & slowed down but it's so ok...Before Posh, I took a gazillion things to my friend's consignment store & she helped me turn over most of it. Now, I try to keep it as simple for me as possible.. It's difficult to carry on major convos here since this 500 thing...

rmccouture @lakeforest Thanks for sharing your wisdom Dorothy. I was using consignment shops as well, but the 50% thing is a killer, so even though it takes more effort, I prefer to sell here. I don't think that I have a choice in my closet sharing often during the day. I may be doing something wrong, but the only way that I know to organize my closet is to share it. Is there another way?

rmccouture @lakeforest I get embarrassed sometimes, or fear that people think I am selfish because it takes me so long to organize, and I reshare things I just shared because I forget what I share 2 seconds after I share it! lakeforest Amanda, just share often the handful of items u you want to maximize exposure for. I always start from the bottom and work my way up. Sometimes I'll skip a row on purpose, like do a zig zag🔂, lol! If I forget what I shared or where I left off, no worries, just share it again-no harm done-and continue on... My sweet mentor, vacat, has a big closet-she could probably give you fab tips👍.. I'll tag her in one of your listings if you don't mind? She's one classy chick like you💕💕💐💐

rmccouture @dreadhead That's what happens when you are spiritually connected. I used to judge online relationships as being outside of the spiritual realm... Rather silly of me. God is either everything or God is nothing. There is no such thing as being "outside" of the spiritual world. We are spiritual beings having human experiences that make us forget, but at the end of the day, that's the only thing that we are, and the greatest thing that we are!❤️‍❤️‍

It has been a wonderful stretch, especially having my son, daughter-in-law and 16 month old grandson living with us. We worked for over a year to get Alessandra and baby Noah to the USA, so the "wedding" will be a sort of icing on the cake.

rmccouture @jessregelson I can tell from your family photos that you have an amazing family. I am not in such a warm place (although summers are disgustingly hot!) I live in New York, and while it is sunny, I have an injury (I may have mentioned it) that affects the way my brain signals my sensory organs to take in stimuli, such as light and sound. I get migraine headaches from sunlight, so I do not go out during the day unless I have to...

rmccouture @jessregelson I've been very isolated as a result of the injury, so PM means all that much more to me. I feel like I have found gold here. Of course, it's great to be able to sell my things and get a little bit of money, but more than that, I have made connections to others, been able to be of service and help other people, and found an avenue for creative expression that is appreciated and acknowledged. I used to act on stage, but I can't do that now with the lights and sound...

There are some days when I cannot summon the strength to stand in front of my phone and take a video without looking hopeless. Those are tough days; but most days I can overcome my challenges, put on some makeup and just do it.

I developed an eye for things that most other people didn't want because they lacked designer names or needed to be refurbished. I'm pretty handy, so I am able to fix things up.
