I never ended up having this altered. 100% poly. Vintage. 1980’s. New with tags. Sheer print flowy skirt over a black skirt. Fitted waist with side zip. True to size. Length measures 43". Waist measures 25.5 to 26". Measurements of hip area while lying flat are 20". This should fit 38" to 40" hips. Not stretchy. persephonestyle Got it. I'm wider in hips and can get away with a size 4 dress, but if this is straight (no give in the hips) it might not work. Can you tell me if its roomier in the hips? (Hope!)

tiamacaw @persephonestyle measuring just below the waist..here is how it tapers..measured while lying flat: 14", 16", 18", then 20" down. So the widest it would fit would be 40" hips. This is not a stretchy polyester.
