tarathomas @dmadriz - sorry, I was in a meeting. I don't think it will be too big. Honestly, I think it would look fab on you. It's a little too small on me. I'm between a 10-12 but i've gained a little weight. An 8 for Helmut Lang is good

tarathomas @ferngoddess - based on everything you told me on the DVF thread, this dress will fit very nice. Helmut Lang's size Large will look great on an 8/10. It fits close to the body but has a little ruching around the middle to hide a few problem areas. I'm happy to answer more questions. Let me know.

ferngoddess @tarathomas thank you for your honesty. One last question could i get away with it as a size 6? I should be down 25 lbs in another 4 weeks. Problem is i don't have much now but I'm losing everyday.

tarathomas A size 6 might be too small for this dress but it's possible. Helmut Lang can run a little small for me, but I have butt and hips (no chest - LOL). It's possible especially since you are a C cup. This purchase is over $100 so if you really want to know, go to the mall and try on one of their dresses (if it's carried in your area). I did that with a pair of Chanel shoes and I'm soooooo glad I did because I'm a size 11 in Chanel and I usually wear a size 10.

tarathomas @ferngoddess OR you can search the designer at Nordstoms/Saks and do a size comparison. That always helps. It's a cool feature that most retailers use on their sites. They give you a list of designers with a similar fit. you pick a designer, input your size that you wear in the designer's clothes and they system will convert it to Helmut Lang's sizes. I really hope that helps.

Not only do you have impeccable taste but you are illustrative and descriptive which makes it easier to make decisions. ferngoddess @tarathomas curious what kind of sales are you doing? I have not forgot about this. Short story. I had a prestigious job had an accident company fired me..2 spinal surgeries later no job no income trying to survive as an artist isn't cutting it so trying to start a new high end artist agent company for some of my well known friends. Right now money isn't a luxury to spend so i need to save on order to get this. I just wanted you to know i wasnt jerking your chain. 😏❤

tarathomas @meemers68 - it's a light gray. I think it looks least like the picture on the lower right. The dress looks and feels like one their tops but it's not as thin as a tissue T-shirt. I hope that helps

meemers68 I'm sorry, I think I'm just tired from inventory. So let me see... in all of the first 5 pics the dress in the pic comes up as a different color than the last pic. So you are saying the dress looks least like last pic? I'm not worried about the thickness of the material. The color comes up different in the first 5 pics than the last pic of the actual helmut lang tag.
