@abstractdreams Yes, it is so hard. We rescued him he was older thsn they told us, and had plenty of issues. I am neurotic when it comes to watching his behavior changes and he had pancreatitis earlier this year, then 2 teeth extraction surgeries. He hid pain so well that when the oral surgeon pulled his teeth due to stomatits, she said he had a cracked tooth that had been abscessed, and prob for longer than we had him.

Oh thats a good sign he's gaining weight! 💗😊 so rewarding have animals in our lives but so devastating when they get ill :( i had my cat lucky i who had diabetes shots for a year to help extend his life his quality of life was still good but just for him to be able to live one more year i would do anything for animals 😭🐴🐱🐩🐒🐾🐾🐾🐾 sending love and well wishes

@jillianka small world too I just love Jen (@ridinghood13 ) I see you are friends. I know it's very hard. I still have one dog (fur child) but my oldest was 10 (Dalton) and I had to have him put to sleep back in March. It was so sad. He had cancer. He was seriously the most loving, selfless and intuitive dog I've ever known. Hope my other dog will be 2 this month and she still looks for him. She adored him.

@jillianka yay that's SUCH a good sign that he's eating !! Darn kitties can be so stubborn with meds , I'm not sure what kind you have him on but in the past when my cats have needed meds we have used these things called "Pill Pockets" which are basically little cat treats that have an opening so you can disguise the meds . Worked like a charm!!

I am doing ok. Not a lot going on right now; my job hasn't put me on the schedule to work in over a month now , long story short they basically dropped me like a hot potato with no warning . hunting for a new one. Need to figure out school; I've taken the past two years off and have been living at home planning to transfer and move into NYC within the next 6 months... I can't wait to flee the nest again 😆

@jillianka ahhh he sounds like a smart stubborn lil bastard 😆 yea it's been my dream for years I just had a major setback after my sophomore year . Basically had a manic episode and had to come home to heal . It took a very long time but I finally emerged from it . (For the most part ) and it truly is . I need stimulation and flashing lights and lots of people lol! Many of my close friends live in the city as well.

Aahhhwww love your babies! In the past 6 months we acquired three! Two brothers that a friend of mine decided to give up and in October I found a beautiful stray one ! An all white beauty! Anyways with 4 kids , 3 cats, I dog, 3 turtles and a lizard, my house it's a real zoo! 😂 I'm glad to hear you are doing well Jillian. Your babies are beautiful!! I'm a huge cat lover myself. ♡ I actually just lost my sweet diabetic kitty last week. ;( I miss him so much. I'm definitely holding my Mew a lot tighter these days... ♡ I have always loved the snowshoes. They are gorgeous. I have heard they have unique personalities, too! ♡

I added a picture of him to my about me listing. It's the last photo. My other Kitty Mew is in the 3rd picture. They look very similar, except Mew has a bob tail. ♡ I don't know if we will get another one. We were talking about getting one before it happened so we may. It's just so hard right now. Still grieving I suppose. ♡

I was told that Siamese & Norwegian Forest cats are 2 of the oldest breeds. My NFC is so pretty that everyone wants to touch her but she goes into literal "hissy fits!" Lol! She would rather stare at a person for hours to figure them out before approaching. Waaaaay too smart! Both breeds can under over 150 & more words!

I love your babies! I have a Siamese snowshoe as well but her facial markings aren’t exactly spot on.... no... she looks like the joker! 😂😂😂, She’s a little sweetie but she’s also 13lbs, so not so little either. I just love her. The breed has their own personality don’t they? Sinatra, I named her after Frank due to her blue eyes & because she’s always vocalizing to me. We have long conversations but I have no idea on what..... I’m the crazy cat lady but it just took her to do that to me. 😈

@jillianka that’s Sinatra’s personally to a T. She’s close to 15 yrs old but still acts like a kitten. She’s all prim & proper until she flips a switch & bat shit crazy starts. I love to listen to her snore & its a riot when she dreams as she ‘talks’ in her sleep. I’ve never heard all these vocalizations that she makes & I grew up with cats. I swear she’s yelled at me for not getting her the wet food fast enough. Does Juna May sound like a high pitch squeak toy too?

@whyhart Awwww so cute! Yes.. Juna May does sound like that, and will talk when she is hungry or feels like we are in hervway.. Lol.. She does not snore, but definitely talks to us.. Lol.. She is playful, and definitely a mixed bag! Haha.. She is about 8-,9 and thinks she is a baby. She is so protective of my big guy, especially when hebwas sick 3 or 4 yrs ago. Made sure he ate, etc.. Lol

It’s amazing how the perfect personality cat/animal will find its way into your life & make it, like it was meant to be. I just absolutely love her, she’s my little baby girl. I loved hearing that Juna May took care of your other kitty when he was sick 💕, that’s gotta be another personality trait because Sinatra did that to me when I got back from the Mayo Clinic. She knew something was wrong & she’s been by my side since, she changed. Crazy. 💘

@whyhart So true! Yes.. I had emergency surgery in 2016 and due to the nature of my surgery, was easier to prop on the couch to sleep. She was at my feet every night and the 9.5 weeks I was on sick leave from work, she made sure I was ok.. Lol.. Yes.. I think I did read up on their nurturing nature. So cute!
