sammy @chicdutchess that's wonderful. Good luck on your thesis. I wrote mine on adolescent learning disabilities and dislexia and how to treat it. I worked with them first before writing. I commend you. I'm broke right now from over buying and just help fund my good friends who are musicians or I'd help with a donation. Maybe this summer.

1roguepuppy @just_between_us EAST in Scottsdale was awesome (but unseasonably cold). This year was San Antonio and not as much fun. It's the best in Disney. AAST was in Vegas this year. Super fun! Exceptional work is being done by both EAST and AAST toward treating both pediatric and adult trauma victims in newer, better ways. You can donate at www.east.org or www.aast.org.

One of my peds doc's at the hosp I worked did a study with pigs re:seizures I was in the lab every time he brought in blood so I made him tell me ALL about this week's findings - except euthanizing the piglets that is!

When he was published in JAMA he came into the lab the night the magazine came out, carrying it in one hand, a xeroxed copy in the other & the biggest smile on his face I'd ever seen!! He says to me, "you want to see this?" I pretended like I was thinking, "all those dead babies - is it going to help ALL BABIES NOW 4 & 2 LEGGED??" "YES!!! NO MORE SEIZURES DUE TO...."

snoeleopard I was so very excited for him! I'd not been in HIS lab but I worked in my lab getting his specimens ready, separated, tubed properly, frozen quickly so all the tests could be done STAT as he wanted them!!! Gosh you'd have thought I was his right hand girl!! LOL That man made me so proud!!!! I worked with EXCELLENT DOCTOR'S!!! I MISS IT IMMENSELY!!!!!

snoeleopard My doc was a huge pick (pardon) at times BUT if people paid attention it was when one of HIS KIDS WAS BADLY I'LL & HE WAS PULLING HIS HAIR OUT! That's how good of a doctor he is! I YES, SIR'D! NO, SIR'D! Until his child was better, then he'd usually catch me later & apologize! I blew him off! I knew, it wasn't personal!! I've a lot of respect for that guy!
