Oct 20Reply

sinnersorsaints@just_between_us 😊 thanks so much for your support ❤️! It is lovely meeting you as well! Where are you located?

Oct 20Reply

just_between_usHi - I'm at a Level 1 trauma/academic medical center in the southeast. Trauma research is so needed and under-funded by NIH. 😕

Oct 20Reply

just_between_usWonderful!! I have my PhD in clinical science (nursing) and work with basic science collaborators. Good luck!!! Such a major, but rewarding undertaking. Not enough of us out there, for sure!

Oct 20Reply

just_between_usToo funny that the pic I used for my "Meet the Posher" was taken while attending a research conference for psychoneuroimmunology....funny how two VERY different worlds come together here. 👍

Oct 20Reply

sinnersorsaints@just_between_us 😍👍 you are right on... We might have attended the AAST together !!

Oct 20Reply

just_between_usI totally need to go to AAST. Our trauma MDs and trauma program manager have gone. I've made it to EAST - which was AWESOME! In Scottsdale! 🙌🏼🙌🏼 Our next goal is SCCM. My collaborators are presenting some of work at Experimental Biology. Fun times!

Oct 20Reply

sinnersorsaints@just_between_us EAST Awesome! Girl... Next year AAST is in Hawaii 😳 Send in an abstract in Jan 😜

Oct 20Reply

just_between_usThank you, Sarah, you too my friend, you too! Just sent you a LinkedIn invite. We have some common themes in our work! Who would've thought that PM would be a place to connect with potential collaborators. Go figure! Haha! Yes, "Rock On!!!" To us trauma people! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 @chicdutchess

Oct 20Reply

just_between_usOMG - Hawaii!! Will def have to put the abstract submissions date on my calendar. Might very well have some fresh data by then. Awesome!!

sammy@chicdutchess that's wonderful. Good luck on your thesis. I wrote mine on adolescent learning disabilities and dislexia and how to treat it. I worked with them first before writing. I commend you. I'm broke right now from over buying and just help fund my good friends who are musicians or I'd help with a donation. Maybe this summer.

1roguepuppy@chicdutchess @just_between_us I gi to both AAST and EAST every year! My husband is a trauma surgeon who is heavily involved in basic science and trauma research. We will have to meet up if you guys go!

Feb 22Reply

1roguepuppyI go... not gi. My husband is military, so my phone seems to think I want to say GI a lot;)

Feb 22Reply

1roguepuppy@just_between_us EAST in Scottsdale was awesome (but unseasonably cold). This year was San Antonio and not as much fun. It's the best in Disney. AAST was in Vegas this year. Super fun! Looking forward to the big island for the next one! Get those abstracts in! I would love to see what you're working on!

Feb 22Reply

1roguepuppy@chicdutchess Hats off to you for your hard work in such a challenging field and for such a worthy cause! My son is currently working on an infectious disease PhD, so I know how hard the work is. My hubby is a trauma surgeon heavily involved in research, and I've worked in a trauma bay and burn-trauma unit as an RT, so I understand the field. Let me know if you're ever at EAST or AAST presenting, and we'll have to grab lunch!

Apr 19Reply

sinnersorsaints@scp_in_vb ☺️ thanks so much. Yes I will definitely do that! That would be great. ❤️

Apr 19Reply

1roguepuppy@southernstyle28 The comments made above by @just_between_us and I in conversation with @chicdutchess were also regarding national organizations of trauma professionals (doctors, nurses, researchers, etc.) that we have each been active in. Exceptional work is being done by both EAST and AAST toward treating both pediatric and adult trauma victims in newer, better ways. You can donate at www.east.org or www.aast.org.

Apr 19Reply

kodiakkitty@scp_iv_vb thanks for the info! I was just specially asking @chicdutchess where to whom she donated, because I did not see that listed =-) best! Thanks @chicdutchess, I know you understand - where is it that you donate?

Apr 19Reply

kodiakkitty@scp_in_vb and @chicdutchess Being in the field myself, I would love to see what you are working on too @chicdutchess!

Knowing folks like you are pouring your ♡'s & soul's into finding a way to help the hurt Babies, especially the ones that can't talk & tell us where it hurts. . .

Jul 07Reply

sinnersorsaints@snoeleopard dear Cathy, thanks so much for your kind words. It means so much to me ☺️ the little ones are definitely not small adults. It's a special population that needs evidence based care! I appreciate your encouragement ❤️👭😘 x Sarah

Jul 07Reply

snoeleopardSarah, I didn't speak a word that wasn't truth & you know it Sweetie!! No conceit, just fact!!!! Girlie I just cannot wait til your thesis is published for the general public, I'd be thrilled to read it!! One of my peds doc's at the hosp I worked did a study with pigs re:seizures I was in the lab every time he brought in blood so I made him tell me ALL about this week's findings - except euthanizing the piglets that is!

Jul 09Reply

snoeleopardI was excited for him!!!! When he was published in JAMA he came into the lab the night the magazine came out, carrying it in one hand, a xeroxed copy in the other & the biggest smile on his face I'd ever seen!! He says to me, "you want to see this?" I pretended like I was thinking, "all those dead babies - is it going to help ALL BABIES NOW 4 & 2 LEGGED??" "YES!!! NO MORE SEIZURES DUE TO...."

Jul 09Reply

snoeleopardI was so very excited for him! I'd not been in HIS lab but I worked in my lab getting his specimens ready, separated, tubed properly, frozen quickly so all the tests could be done STAT as he wanted them!!! Gosh you'd have thought I was his right hand girl!! LOL That man made me so proud!!!! I worked with EXCELLENT DOCTOR'S!!! I MISS IT IMMENSELY!!!!!

Jul 09Reply

snoeleopardI know how much HARD WORK you put into everything you do but I also know how rewarding it is seeing YOUR WORK PUBLISHED IN A NATIONAL MEDICAL PUBLICATION!! TRUST ME!

Jul 09Reply

snoeleopardMy doc was a huge pick (pardon) at times BUT if people paid attention it was when one of HIS KIDS WAS BADLY I'LL & HE WAS PULLING HIS HAIR OUT! That's how good of a doctor he is! I YES, SIR'D! NO, SIR'D! Until his child was better, then he'd usually catch me later & apologize! I blew him off! I knew, it wasn't personal!! I've a lot of respect for that guy!

Jul 09Reply

snoeleopardAs I do for you & the other lady (SOS?)!! You both are going to go far in improving the lives of little people that are injured in PI Accidents!!! Thank you & GOD BLESS YOU!! Let me know when you get published please?!?! snoeleopard@yahoo.com

Jul 09Reply

snoeleopardOh & I TOTALLY APOLOGIZE for so many boxes! I'm too gabby! Samsung Galaxy S5 doesn't let me use very many characters per box OY! AND I'M MOST DEFINITELY A CHATTY CATHY AS IF YOU COULDN'T TELL!!! ;-) ;-) ;-) Have a great weekend!!!!!
