I can't tell you how many items I couldn't list an item because by pressing/ ironing them I found flaws. Just this week I found five items with flaws. More information you can give a buyer they more likely they will buy. Don't make them ask for the info. Try it on what size does if feel like. Take measurements. Be truthful about condition. Imperfect items might make great free gifts.

Hey Audrey! Awhile back you were asking me questions about becoming a suggested user, and I just wanted to say your closet is looking awesome!! Did you get a chance to send them an email about being considered?
Aug 21Reply

abatts
@klg139 I had send them an email a few weeks back before we talked. I even had another posher tell me she sent an email suggesting they choose me. Maybe some day they will see me.

Well don't give up! I just wanted to say that I thought of you and checked out your closet and it looks good to me. I'll send them a message for you as well.

💖 You have great tips. Thank you! I have been on Posh for a couple years, first just as a buyer then started selling when I noticed I was purging too many clothes. I have 2 daughters who are contantly purging!!! What a waste. Thank you! I did not know all this! Jan 💖

@tamaralite Yes do sell on posh. I just listed some of my daughters clothes and sometimes they sell immediately. I've been selling for a year. If you have questions. Just ask. Do research your prices on here and eBay before listing. If you price just right it helps. You don't want to cheat your self. Or price too high. But leave a little wiggle room. Put there are many pricing strategies I use.

@abatts - AUDREY- I GAVE SO MANY OF THE SAME TIPS FROM THE BUYER'S PERSPECTIVE... ( & NOW YOU HAVE VALIDATED MY ADVICE ) I CAN'T WAIT TO READ THE REST! I TOLD HER IT WAS JUST MY OPINION... & COMMON SENSE
... THE PART ABOUT HOW YOU CANNOT PROVIDE TOO MUCH INFO... IS SO
TRUE! IF THE SELLER ISN'T THERE, I NEED TO BE ABLE TO JUST READ THE FACTS! ( I TOLD HER PEOPLE WILL MOVE ON...! ) VERY GLAD I WAS ON THE RIGHT TRACK! 😉

@abatts - ( I RAN OUT OF ROOM! / THANK YOU SO MUCH !!! I WANTED TO SAY
IRON THOSE CLOTHES...( NO FRAGRANCE & USE SCENT FREE DRYER SHEETS
...MANY OF US HAVE ALLERGIES & ASTHMA! ) USE A GARMENT SHAVER! &
TRY TO CLEAN THAT SPOT...TRIM LOOSE THREADS & CHECK THE BUTTONS!
I HAVEN'T BEEN ON POSH VERY LONG & AN EXPERIENCED SELLER LIKE YOU,
SO IT MEANT A LOT TO ME! MAYBE ONE DAY...🎢
Jan 22Reply

abatts
@makeminepink Yay. Glad you agree. I do trim fuzzies too. I forgot about that. Ooo unscented dryer sheets. I didn't think of that. I usually put a small strip in my clothes when mailing to help neutralize any different smells they may pick up. Our houses all have different smells, mostly from what ever laundry products we use or home fragrances, or candles.

@makeminepink I'm here to help anytime. Ask me any questions you may have. I've been in for two years and have sold over 1,000 items. My top tip. Move the four items you would like sold the most, to the top of your closet and share them as many times as you can in a day. I also try to return at least 4 shares of anyone costing my closet. Find your item being sold on Posh. Like all the people liking your same item.
Jan 22Reply

abatts
@makeminepink Sorry. Now you got me excited and talking. People clean your rooms. Clean up your house. We can see your mess in the background of the picture. I know we have busy lives. Not ever room can be perfect. But pick one room or area for pictures. Keep it neat. If you have clothes on the floor I think your keeping the stuff your selling on the floor.
Jan 22Reply

abatts
@makeminepink Yes I've seen that on Posh. I stay very quite. I don't even comment on my negative feedback on my sales. I know what I sent & I know I disclosed all I could about the condition of the items. But I just don't need the headache. I figure it's their opinion and I keep my mouth shut. Just so I don't get any of that retaliation. Because you can't remove it. I wish Posh gave the option to refund customers like eBay does. Sometimes I'd rather refund a purchase then deal an upset customer.
Jan 22Reply

abatts
@makeminepink I know what you mean about feeling guilty. I returned a pocketbook on a seller and put $5.00 cash in the return because I felt bad about it. But they failed to show cracking on the straps. But I should have waited for more pictures before buying. Posh takes forever to answer any questions. Or handle any customer service or selling issues.

Audrey, I need help with my closet. I have good ideas but I’m always so rushed. I’d really love some advice on how to better my closet. I’d also love if u could possibly, hopefully, mentor me. I’ve been buying for maybe close to a year, I think, but just began selling maybe 3-4 months ago. I don’t even know if my closet is compliant with Poshmark rules, so if u could let me know what I can do to improve my closet and sales, plz let me know? Thank u so much.
Sep 29Reply

abatts
@ginabono Sure. Love to help. I did see one non compliant item. All items should be fashion related. No household items. Better the photos better the sales. You don't have to be fancy. Plainer the background the better. Logging is key to the best photos. Usually natural light or logging from many sources helps. I turn on 5 lights when I take my photos.

@ginabono i noticed your cute turtle necklace. I think it said Sterling. If it's Sterling try to get a shot of the markings. Try to take photos of clasp and always give measurements or pictures of item next to ruler. I only use my iPhone phone 5c for pictures. I don't use anything fancy. I have watched a lot of utube videos on Posh selling. But I've done Posh so long I'm not learning anything new.
Sep 29Reply

abatts
@ginabono A great selling tool is the direct share. Usually with 100 direct shares I get a sell of that item. I search Posh for someone selling the same item as me. And direct share my item to all the people who liked their item. This strategy gets the exact item someone was looking for in front of them. Sharing it Key but if you can share the right item to the right person you up your chances of a sale.

@abatts I followed your tips and Started getting MUCH more attention & likes! A 3 or 4 months ago, My sales went up a bit! edited the titles of ALL of my listings & since then moved forward following your instructions to create a title for a listing. Using all the key words u can dream up a potential buyer Would type into the search bar that will fit in however many characters they give you for a title LOL
Aug 03Reply

rawluxe_world
@abatts so thank you very much for your tips I’m gonna read the second posting now
Aug 03Reply

abatts
@rawluxe_world oh my gosh. I’m so happy to hear that. The key words really help. If I can’t fit them in the title make sure they are in the description. I love when someone gets creative with there titles. But it doesn’t nothing to help sell their items. Thanks again for telling me about your results. 😍😊 I’m just so excited. Posh isn’t always a fast way to sell. It’s exciting to get sales. I’m just so happy for you.

I do get tired of sellers here not posting any info about their items. Then on top of that if you ask them half of them don’t respond. Perhaps Posh-mark doesn’t teach them this. But now I am not able to do the details myself anymore since I became bedridden after I started the store, not able to reach things anymore, hard to take pictures or measurements, I always have to ask someone else which is rarely available. On Etsy for four years I sold 2000 items. Thank you
Mar 25Reply

abatts
@hoarderhaven sorry to hear your bedridden. Unfortunately most selling sights don’t teach you how to list. Only one gives you prompts to add size of item being sold. I’ve sold 8,000 items. Been selling on posh since 2015 and another sight since 2004. I might have to make this my full time income in a few years if my job ends.

abatts
It is a job in its self to sell stuff, even part time. One thing drives me crazy about posh is I’m
Unable to move my sold items to bottom of my closet. It takes me three hours to move all my listings.
Thanks for the comment. Hope you enjoy looking on posh.

I’m thinking about selling on Poshmark and doing live shows do I need a specific point of sale equipment from Poshmark or what do you use?
Mar 13Reply

abatts
@lesleewill best to have good lighting, ring light and d two devices. I used my current iPhone 11 and my old iPhone 10. You could also use a tablet or laptop and one phone. I’ve seen people just use one device.
Mar 13Reply

abatts
I use my phone to conduct all business. You will need a printer to print labels. But you can get the post office to print your shipping labels using the QR code. But I doesn’t always work. You can use the priority shipping supplies from the post office to ship items.
Mar 13Reply

abatts
@lesleewill it’s hard to get a following to come to your shows. Team up with someone who has shows and do a cohosting show. That’s what I did in the beginning. Let me know if you have questions. I stopped doing live shows because I was uncomfortable doing them. I was told I was good at them. They just weren’t my thing.

Reselling is my full time job. Ask me more questions if you have them.
