This way, you know they are actively sharing at that moment, so when you go share from them, they should come share from you! When you find closets of people that have thousands of followers, share away in their closet! They will return the same for you, & when they share yours, your stuff is being exposed to their thousands of followers!!

gallery_of_gems @riahwillow Also, do a search on the type of items you are trying to sell, brand name, etc. ex: Bridal Gown, or Asian Gowns- when these items come up, & items look like items you are trying to sell, click on them, & click on all the Poshers that Like these items & follow them. When you follow someone u hope they follow u in return, & u want to follow people that are liking the type of items u are trying to sell! Also, to take that a step further...

gallery_of_gems @riahwillow When I hit the "blue follow" to follow someone, u don't always know if they will follow u back, so I like to try to go in their closet & atleast share a couple items. Again, if you have followed & shared a few items, they should follow & come share for you! Parties are big exposure, you can share your whole closet to the party every night. If you get in to the Host Picks of the party every night & share those, they will come & share your closet too!

Lol I don't know if my old one was a knock off or just plain old, but I got crazy with some fur yesterday!! So what you do to start gaining followers & exposure is start sharing from every closet you go into, I like to say atleast 5 items. When you share from someone's closet, they should come share from yours in return! Follow people & share their items! So sharing doesn't mean that you necessarily like the item you are sharing!😉😉

Then your items are seen by their thousands upon thousands of followers, & you will start seeing more people follow you & like your items! All of this I say is a great way to begin. There are also many "Follow me or Follow Game" Posts you will see in people's closets, Like those & follow everyone on those.

Share your whole closet to the party every night, & take a look through the Host Picks of the Nightly Parties. Share the Host Picks & those Ladies will share back for you & your closet may start to be seen for parties! All of this, yes, can be very time consuming! It depends on how much time you can & want to put aside for this everyday!

gallery_of_gems @rloganx3 Hi Rosie, so sorry I am just now seeing your comment! Please, tell me what it is you are wanting to know about the retail & I will try to help! Is it about listing the item, or about the wholesale retail items you can now purchase on posh? For listing items as retail, I think their wording is very confusing, but if an item is brand new, with tags, or straight from a retailer or wholesaler still in package, it can be listed as retail.

gallery_of_gems @rloganx3 I say that because when you purchase from some wholesalers, the items may be in a package but not have purchasing tags on them, if that makes sense. There are many wholesalers that Posh has agreements with now that we can purchase products thru & we get them at wholesale cost which is 60% off, so you can turn around & sell them at retail price to make your profit. How you get to these is in Poshmark Support Center, then select Wholesale Portal.

gallery_of_gems @rloganx3 You will find that most on there sell in a quantity of 5, like T&J Designs & Three Bird Nest seem to be the most popular. So on T&J u can buy 5 pairs of Lion Earrings for $30, so that's $6/pair, & they retail at $30/pair, so after you get them u can list them at what you want to get whatever profit you want & to be competitive with others! I hope this info. helps & is maybe helping answer your questions!! Please let me know if it is not!!

One way to get your comments seen immediately in someone's feed is to put their name first when you comment, like I have for you in these comments, the @ sign, then the persons name, basically what is at the top of the page when you go in a Poshers closet!

The wholesalers thru Poshmark is just something pretty new, & it's something they started to help benefit really everyone- Giving the wholesale Businesses more business, the Poshers that buy & sell retail, Posh more Business, & for the buyers the newest trends at good prices! But yes, there are many ways people get their retail to sell. 😉😉

gallery_of_gems @rloganx3 You can search Wholesalers online that sell to individuals & not just companies, some require minimum orders, others don't, u just have to search around. If u know anyone that owns a business, like a boutique, they will know & have great access to wholesalers & can def. help u out!

On some of the wholesale sites that I have tried to order from that I didn't realize it was for businesses only until I went to checkout, it would ask for a license number with your company info.😉

I need to put together posts for this listing with some of this info. also!😉 So there are many places u can go to find out if your closet is compliant. THe other way to find all the info is by going to the Poshmark Support Center- I don't know what device you use, I use an IPad or iPhone, but if you see different options at the bottom of your Posh Page & you can hit your name, then all the main Posh Categories come up- Go under Poshmark Support Center......

Under the Guide to Poshmark you will find tips for listing, shipping & sharing, different things like that. gallery_of_gems @erin001 I just try to think of the basics & making it simple for making my closet compliant (I like simple!!) Mainly the site is for women's fashion, so women's clothes & accessories, shoes, jewelry. Then, there's things I wouldn't want to buy used- makeup, underwear & bathing suit bottoms (LOL)- they must all be New, bottoms now with tags! Bras don't have to be new with tags anymore. Nail polishes, perfumes & lotions are a NO because of shipping- they are flammable!

Lol Household items- books, movies, anything are a no- they want fashion, LOL, kids clothes & mens are a no, for now, I think they are looking into the possibility of starting men's clothes. gallery_of_gems @erin001 I see items that I wonder about because I think of the Flammable rule- like tanning lotions- you can't list body lotions or body sprays so I don't know how or when tanning lotions became ok, maybe their not flammable?? But I wouldn't think my Honeysuckle Lotion from Bath & Body was flammable either! HA, lol, I could go on & on!! I hope my info is helpful to you! Someone that always has great info in her closet & is up to date on rules....

I have a Posh Q and you are one of the more experienced sellers I follow so here goes: I have a buyer who after asking to trade (& I said I didn't and asked them to submit an offer) submitted an offer, which I accepted - BUT once I got the shipping label only one word was in the name field and the address is misspelled and is either a mall or an ATM. 👇🏽

Is it a Posher that has made purchases? I would see if they have Comments from any purchases, or sales, if they sell. Did you comment to the Posher asking them about the address that printed out for you??

laurenmariette @rnicu00 the buyer has about 5 sold listings & no "love notes" given or received. I asked them to double check the address & let me know if they corrected it. I can see they have been active since, but no response. I have sold to "new" poshers before with no listings and felt ok b/c their addresses were good and I had a name and last name. In this case I only have a "name" and no last name with a funky address 😕

gallery_of_gems @laurenmariette Yea, that's just really odd. They should respond to you about their address if they want their item!! I would send Posh Support an e-mail also, they may reach out to the buyer about their full name & address- I'm sure you should have a full name & home address when you sign up! I'm sure Posh would support you. That way too if Posh can't get the info. then they can cancel the transaction. Better to be safe than sorry, esp on a expensive item!

After awhile, the listings need updated, new pictures, etc... Sometimes, I notice if I change my cover picture to one of the other pictures, the item may get more likes or sell- it really is all in the cover pic! If the cover pic grabs their attn they will click on it & look it!

gallery_of_gems @tkmh Since I have been on Posh selling, about a year, my profit is probably around $3000. Considering it's just something I have been doing for fun, I've sold some clothes & shoes that I would have just donated- really majority of my sales are just jewelry- so to me that's pretty good for mainly jewelry! I know some make thousands, over 100K, but, this may be their job, they may have online stores & boutiques- I think u can make a lot more investing in their wholesale on here

My favorite app to fancy up the pics & do collages is Rhonnas- there are many backgrounds u can use on there, then shapes u can put on the backgrounds, like I have on all those statement listings, then all fonts for typing- the app has everything! Some pics I google search & screenshot, like floral backgrounds & search images, then screenshot the ones u like!

califashtrends Hi Super Fabulous Posher and Mentor! 😘❤️😍 Question. Is it bad etiquette to offer a price drop to reduce shipping? I'm going to add more retail items and wanted to offer for folks to comment with their requested size and I'd make a new listing, then drop the price so they'd get reduced shipping (only for 1 hour)? You know, I don't have a mannequin myself, which is why (atleast I want to believe why😜) I have not listed all the clothes I have intended on listed this year!! Lol😉😉 I have seen some at Hobby Lobby & Michaels, but I have recently been looking on Amazon & eBay, & they have much better deals on your basic mannequin, which is all I really want- the top half!!😊👍

gallery_of_gems @slmiller44 Awe, aren't you sweet!! Your closet is Beautiful!! Tagging is where you use the persons closet name that is at the top of the screen, that beings with the "@" sign. It's like you are speaking directly at that person when u do that, & it will pop up in their feed.😉. One way to make a persons name come right up in the comments now is by hitting "reply" under their comment👍👍

I notice {if I'm off & Poshing all day myself😉} that it looks like you rotate your closet frequently; you move around items to the top, then do some sharing from others; how do you feel your sales are? I just look at your closet & can't believe more items aren't sold or have more likes!😱 I have a few other thoughts & tips that might help if u think things aren't selling fast enough!👍

I'm glad you didn't take offense!😉 Just a few tips that I've learned & they've worked for me (& I keep saying I'm going to put all my tips together & add to this listing🙈); you may already be doing them! Sometimes just changing your cover pic when your rotating the items around in your closet will work! It's weird but it's like seeing an item in a different way just may be the ticket to draw someone in to the item!

gallery_of_gems @samcamnat When I've rotated my cover pics before, boom it sold!😜. Also, as you rotate & start sharing, I don't know if u Share from the live feed. If u go to the live feed & see who is actively sharing their own closet, go share 5 or so items from their closet, since they are active in the feed at that time, they should come return the shares!👍 That's a good way to actively rotate your closet & I have made many sales that way too!!👍👍

I keep saying I'm going to, but time seems to be a factor!🤔🤔🤔 LOL One of the biggest things is- ACTIVE CLOSETS SELL! Meaning, people who just list items but don't share, they aren't seen. You have to share to be seen! When u share your items it puts them in the feed to be seen by your followers.....

When I just shared your closet, it went to the feed for my 215,000 followers to see- that's why sharing & active followers are important! Notice I say active followers- someone may have 500,000 followers, but if 250,000 of them haven't been on Posh in a year, then????😉 Follow active people & get active followers👍

Also, The best way to share your items is not just by hitting the share button, hit "edit", "next" & "list"; by editing during a party, it shares to your followers AND the party!!!👍

So u can do that during a day Party too, like if it's a "Best in Dresses & Skirts Party", & you have a lot of dresses u want to share to that party, mine as well do the edit, next, list so it will go to the party, & your followers in the feed!👍👍
