Closet temporarily closed due to long COVID. Update: it’s been a year and I’m still in physical therapy. I finished pulmonary rehab and can breathe better now. I am finally walking on my own, just using a cane on bad days. I hope to reopen my closet soon. I’m still only working part time, so I’m not making purchases at this time but am doing quite a bit of window shopping. Please don’t be offended if I like & don’t buy, I can’t buy right now. But those likes may turn to purchases when I’m back full time. Thank you to all my Posh friends that have been praying for me. I truly appreciate it!

@yoshima no, I don't own a consignment or thrift store but I shop at them often. The first picture was actually taken inside Goodwill when I found the hat. I couldn't believe I found such a unique hat at Goodwill. The next one was at a book launch tea party. My dress was designed by a friend who is a designer, VDINX Designs. And the retro outfit was also designed by her, that was taken at a photo shoot she had to launch her vintage inspired line. I live vintage clothing and I love hats too.

@yoshima I probably could open a store with all the stuff I have. I lost a lot of weight, then gained most of it back ... So I have everything from a size 2 to a size 18 in my closet. I've just got to find time to snap pictures and post them.

@sebq the Doxie was my niece's and when she got married and had a baby, she was unable to keep her. Where they live doesn't allow pets, so I got her. I never knew they had so much personality! But I have totally fallen in love with the breed. I don't know what I'd do without her. I even have a plaque by the door, with a Doxie on it of course, that says "this house is maintained for the comfort and pleasure of the dog." And it is so true.

That's funny and so true. My male went blind at two but you would never know. We moved and in an hour he learned the layout and as long as nothing was moved he would run thru room to room like he could see. I really miss them. I'll get another soon

@chooyman what exactly are you looking for? I have lots of hats and fascinators. I can look through mine and see if I have what you’re looking for, (if it’s something I’m willing to part with). I don’t think I have ever paid retail for a hat and I have lots. I get them at second hand shops, antique marts, etc. If I don’t have what you want, I can keep an eye out for it and let you know if I find something. You can definitely find something for under $100!

Just wanted to say HI and thank you for sharing my items. I see you live near some of my old "stompin' grounds". My grandparents lived in Atlanta and my cousin in conyers and that's where I spent my summers. Must have climbed Stone Mountain a hundred times. My cousin now lives in Tucker and my sister lives in McDonough. I just visited there this past Christmas. No one wanted to climb Stone Mountain but me LOL they're all getting too old LOL

@share123 awesome. I haven’t climbed Stone Mountain one years. The last time was for an Easter sunrise service. the climb about killed me, but it was worth it. If you’ve never been to Easter sunrise there, you need to do it at least once. It’s amazing.

@allexisstyle I have a beautiful vintage dress I was going to post last night, but none of my pictures came out good. I’ve got to get better lighting. It’s a size 24 which is rare to find in vintage , so I think it should sell, I just have to figure out where I can set up to take pictures that will do it justice..

@rjmeza I know, isn’t that hard? I bought 800 watt bulbs for my guest room. That is supposed to be “Natural Lighting” it’s still not the same as outside. Sometimes if you are outside it’s too bright and the colors look off. So there’s just no happy medium! To me it’s really frustrating. A lot of people don’t understand this, but it can make all the difference in a buyer not being happy.

@rjmeza See no you can’t have fushia looking red. That just doesn’t work! Good luck to you babe. Maybe try taking it as the sun goes down or in the shade. That has worked for me sometimes. You can always use Photoroom app to quickly make the background solid white or black like you see on my black sandals. Super easy, in less than a minute!

For motivation, try to set a goal for yourself, even one a day is 30 listings up that weren’t there before. For lighting you may have to try a ring light. I just checked out PhotoRoom like what was suggested and it is the best/easiest app I have tried to get white background. Good luck 😉

@4fairness thank you. I’m getting better slowly. Been sick since beginning of January and admitted to hospital 1/14. They moved me to nursing home/rehab facility after 2 weeks in hospital. It’s going to be a long process to get my strength back. I’ve been here a week and still can barely walk to bathroom, and I’m still on oxygen. This virus is brutal. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. Be safe!

I’m still unable to return to work, and am continuing physical therapy to strengthen my lungs and my body. Today they told me I need at least 4 more weeks of therapy. Hopefully I’ll be back to normal soon.

@share123 thank you for your prayers. I’m still out of work, but my shirt term disability ends next week. If I can’t go back to work, I’ll have to go on long term disability and I really don’t want to do that. They did a bronchosopy last week to look at my lungs and see if they can find a cause For my continued coughing six months after Covid. Since my job is answering phones, I need to get rid of this cough!

@rjmeza Sorry to hear all that! I'm praying for healing in your lungs right now. That the coughing will begin to fade away right now in the name of Jesus. God is faithful and desires the very best for His children. And I believe He is going to bring you back into perfect health! Sounds like you are dealing with "post" covid. I still have some stuff going on. My doctor said it could take up to 6 months to be gone...it is slowly disappearing. I am expecting to hear good things from you soon!

@share123 hi. Thanks so much for asking. It has gotten some better, but not a lot. Found out that when you cough your vocal chords are supposed to open to let air in. Mine are closing instead. So that makes the cough worse and makes a wheezing noise when I’m coughing a I started speech therapy this week to work on that and “re-train” my vocal chords to do what they are supposed to.

@share123 I did go back to work part time. It’s exhausting but I’m back. But then this week I developed confusion, dizziness, and blurred vision. I found out a lot of long haulers get these around 6 months Post Covid. I’m at about 7 months. Could t work yesterday or today. I’m trying to get appointment with neurologist ASAP.

@share123 Thanks so much for your kind comment. I’m still dealing with “long Covid” symptoms. Back to work part time, but even that is tough. I recently started a new treatment plan with a doctor who is specializing in treating post-Covid cases. I have IV infusions twice a week, physical therapy twice a week (still have balance issues), and pulmonary rehab once a week. Making progress, but it’s slow.

@rjmeza So sorry to hear you're still dealing with it. I'm having trouble with "smells" which a lot of people are saying is related to covid. But it didn't start until a couple of months ago and I had covid way back in Feb. No problems with smell or taste then! Going for an MRI on my brain Thursday. I'm not thinking they'll find anything....I'm too much of an air head LOL

Physical therapy 4 days a week (2 added due to car accident in Dec).I’m working part time and hoping to be back full time soon. Im hoping to have my closet back open soon. I have a potential buyer for one of my items, if I can find it. That’s what happens when family comes to “help”. I can’t find any of my posh stuff that I had listed.

@shopaholicami thanks so much for your kind words. So sorry that you lost your dad to this horrible disease. My mom passed from Covid in January 2021, and I caught it from her. My aunt passed from it in November 2021. I am finally back to work full time, but it’s been a rough year. My inventory was misplaced while I was sick and I just haven’t had the energy to go through storage to find things. So for now, I have to be content with just sharing items for other sellers.

but since I have so much in several locations I have yet to finish that project. It will take awhile... I have many other health issues so I can definitely say take everything slow. if you can only do 2 hours of inventory a day just to that then rest. ❤️🙏
