As a plus size, it is important that we know our measurements. Different lines all size the numbers VERY differently (irritating). Also, different lines categorize the number sizes differently also (even more irritating!) Please refer to the Eshakti guide for clarification. Ask me any questions that you may have. @sherriesharley Oh good point! I forgot when I cut it down because people couldn't read it that I cut that part out! Need to redo! It is bust, waist & hips. I hand take all measurements to laying flat except for the bust for which I refer to the Eshakti chart.

Do you order them all with the same height? You have to choose a height with eshakti

@honeydevine That is actually new. The default used to be made for a 5'6" woman, unless customized. The answer is no though. I write down all measurements, including length

@bad_betty You are 22 or 24, depending on the actual dress. There can be an inch or two difference.

@corvidium the problem is the 3x 26w fits my waist and hips but would fall off my chest. Im a 47 inch bust. Ugh this is so confusing. If it stretches that makes a huge difference bc i would go with a 2x

@corvidium i dont have a 40 inch waist so the 20-22 would be super tight in the waist unless it stretched 6 inches. Waist is 46-50 inches and hips ahouldnt matter if the dress flares. Just tag me im a reccomendation u think would fit me nicely

@mhollins Eshakti numbered sizes comparable to Lane Bryant's, although they categorize them into the 1X, 2X differently. I also hand take all measurements.

once again I need two different sizes...the top can be a 16 but the bottom needs to be a 24 so I usually compromise and get a 20/22 dress size

@sandrachery the numbered sizes are comparable to Lane Bryant (see the comparison chart above). It is always best to go by your measurements and/or to measure a dress that you like the fit of, laying flat, to compare (especially length).

@sandrachery To get your bust measurement, take the first number (example 44 D) and add 1 number for every cup size starting with A. So 44 + 4= 48" bust. It only works if we are wearing the correct bra size and they say that most of us aren't but it's a start! Happy Poshing!

@mdwiley I got it backwards. 😂 Lane Bryant has an 18/20 as a 2X and a 14/16 as a 1X...it's too confusing. If you are a Lane Bryant 4X, this will be way too big for you!

According to your charts I'm between a 22 and a 26 I read everybody's posting it is a bit confusing I usually shop at dressbarn for that reason

Your dresses are absolutely beautiful and I'm excited to try them just scared to get the wrong size at Lane Bryant 24 can be too big and 22 could be just right depends on the style I have wide hips. 51" bust per your measurements above seem to be 48 in since I'm a 42 triple D thank you for all of your help just want to order the right sizes

@giapanda Hips don’t matter because the dresses flare so at 48” you are right in between 20W and 22W...I am right around there also so you can tag me and I can try it on and do my best guess if it’s a very fitted at the bust style. Otherwise, a lot of these aren’t super fitted at the bust and go by the waist size that I have listed...
