crissyj28 I was just scammed out of a Fitbit, they said I didn't send the tracker which is the main part! I absolutely sent it!!! Posh gave them their money back and I get sent back an empty bracelet and charger. Posh says there looking into it...I have over 80,000 followers and am a top rated seller. This lady has like 500 people she's following and no items for sale. But they chose to believe her! Why is the seller not protected

ibeatfaces @luxlabels4u @crissyj28 I agree 100% and it sucks. I'm not a suggested user but I have great feedback - over 70 sales and almost all. 5 stars - which I openly post and show. I'm not saying that great sellers can't be scammers but PM needs to look and say HMMM this seems fishy that this seller would scam a new buyer! I gain nothing from scamming a new buyer, I WANT to get rid of my items. I WANT an empty closet.

crissyj28 I know posh makes it too easy for someone to scam! If it's as easy as just saying they didn't get something! The funny thing is the lady made sure to ask if the tracker was included even though it stated it in the listing! And shown in the photo! Kinda funny the one thing she wanted to make sure I was sending is the piece she claimed was missing then had the nerve to send back the bubble wrap that I had packed it in and sent me a typed letter saying if I ever find it she may still be interested.

I shouldn't have an anxiety attack when I drop my things off at the PO! Thankfully a lot of my newbie buyers have been honest but seriously!! It isn't even about the money sometimes like congratulations you scammed me out of $20 you lowlife but I could have sold that $20 item to someone else!!!

She opened a case and said IND. she sent them back to me WRECKED with a handwritten note that said "absolutely terrible!!!!" Really??! So you wore them and sent them back and kept the gift?! TRASH! hikingstilettos Thank you for these type of notices! I've only been on posh for a month or so and still learning the ropes. While I expect there to be resellers out there, what happens if they reuse your own pictures for their new listings??? This person bought my shoes and didn't even bother to take new pictures! I tried reporting the listing and commented, but any thing else I can do??? Kicking myself for not adding watermarks.

I have literally sold NWT items with the item description from the website where I bought them and had them reported as IND or the buyer accepts the time, gives me a 4 star rating and leaves no explanation. I have also had people negotiate a price down on a used item only to resell it in their own closet as NWT.

I don't trade and Poshmark still doesn't help when it's a "legitimate sale" according to their website terms. I understand that can't protect you in a trade but they can't protect me in a sale either!! 😑 so frustrating.

I guess the postal carrier was super rough with her package or something crazy happened between me shipping it and her receiving it 🤔

ibeatfaces @tristia I'm glad to hear you won your Poshmark case! Trading is so risky. I know tons of people do it and they're always saying "well I've had tons of great experiences!" Like that's great and all but it only takes one bad person to sour the experience. I'm tempted to trade but seeing all these horror stories on Posh, it's not worth it. Be careful and happy Poshing!

unirose @ibeatfaces hello im having a case right now and my item was still on w/ the buyer she received last monday,she didnt left a comment that she was planning to return the item i opened my mail and poshmark said the buyer complains item was not as desceibed and was not authentic, and then i sent them photos proving that my item was authentic. Then on the third day the buyer left a comment stating "im really sorry it is too small for me, i will return tom bec i dont have a car" .

thismomslangs I'm so annoyed with some of these buyers! I do my absolute best to make sure their order is prefect and this buyer gives me a 3 star rating! The item was brand new, clear pictures, exactly as described, I gave her an amazing deal ($30 for a bikini that retails at $88) and a free lipstick! I was so upset when I seen the rating! I think maybe it didn't fit her the way she liked? I blocked her but it's scary you never know who's buying your stuff or how difficult they'll be!

ibeatfaces They let her return it for being too small?! 🙄 @leslieacross just make sure you write down all the details and make notation if there's any tears or snags etc etc. I videotape my packages now so there's absolutely no discussion that I didn't send something in the condition I stated. It's so sad that we have to do all this so buyers won't return.

craysexycool This is absolutely crazy. I mixed up my labels by accident. After I realized the mix up I emailed poshmark. After I posher received her packaged she alerted posh it was not as describe ok so posh SETTLED the case gave her a credit and let her keep the wrong package worth almost 400 when she only purchased a 15 Vs bra... Really and you would think that posher wanted to make it right by sending back my products No!!!! Posh states she don't have to return the items since it was settled...

mynahshine I have had my issues with Posh not protecting sellers as well. I sold a NWT dress the buyer wore it and then returned it because of a "white mark the cleaners couldn't remove" It was toothpaste! The dress came back smelling or cigarettes and perfume!

I was wrong! I'm actually in the process of creating my own website for myself. I could have paid 2 years domain fees on what Posh has made from my sales since March! Domain fees are cheap!

Been with PM for a few months, has feedback, has left feedback, has been somewhat responsive to others. I would wait and see. I just did a complete mix up of orders with a new buyer, no feedback no listings and no photo. He did respond to me so I'm hoping he will return the item so I can ship him the correct one. Damnit.

katpissevermean I just had another irreplaceable vintage piece go under review after I bent over backwards answering the buyer's questions and described it extensively in the listing including measurements. I'm terrified that this one is going to be stolen too. I'm going to quit Poshmark if they don't put seller protections in place and reimburse me for the stolen dress.

I'm sure it's so tough to monitor everything but when something seems so cut and dry they need to investigate a little bit more!! seryb @ibeatfaces so sorry you had to deal with this! :( Two years ago I was almost scammed; buyer wanted me to ship shoes out ASAP and turns around to cancel the purchase within the 3 hour time period, knowing that I dropped it off. A huge headache and $60 bucks to intercept, I got my shoes back. I was so upset at PM for letting her cancel. So many scammers are sliding thru the cracks ;(

seryb @ibeatfaces here in WA at my P0, they dont scan the item right away which is why it was so easy for her to cancel because according the to "pending usps scan" u can still cancel as long as the tracking hasnt been recorded. I stopped selling for a year because it just wasnt worth it but lately, I've been very careful! I never usually sell to "new" users, just gives me an uneasy feeling

I feel like people that don't sell and only buy should leave love notes so that at least we can see it on their profile that they are indeed a legitimate buyer! Or there should be stats on how many things they purchased from Poshmark and if they have any returns kind of like on eBay.

I shipped to a new non seller posher (made a whopping $5) and gave her a beautiful bracelet as a gift because on top of it it took two days to get to the po due to a blizzard. gave me 1 star because it "smelled like smoke" I guess it could have been worse but honestly if she contacted me I would have refunded her and tell her to just keep it. I'll be weary of new nonsellers

shiloh_britt You'll love this one. I sold a Michael Kors Selma a while back ($400 retail) for $180! So she already got a hell of a deal because it was still in perfect condition. When she got it she commented on the original post and said how much she loved it. I said I was glad and asked her to accept the order so my funds could be released. Another two full days go by without her responding to any of my messages.

Luckily when she didn't respond to me I screenshot her comment on the post. Good thing I did because she deleted her account after. Posh did reimburse me but it took almost two full weeks to get the money back. I'm upset that the girl still has my bag more than anything though. She doesn't deserve it and she got away with it! Still eats me up inside.

bbydolldesi I had an item shipped & tracking didn’t update for 2 weeks! I let the buyer & PM know about the issue DAYS after shipment .PM told me I couldn’t take any action for my package until the 22nd. then turned around and let the buyer CANCEL her order despite the fact that I had opened a claim. I had one pissed off buyer who accused me of fraud and reported every listing in my closet, and THEN told me she wouldn’t return my item until Posh put her refund back in her account

I didn’t comment on it because she even added pictures of the item and it was clearly exactly as described! I never expected poshmark to approve the case I was shocked when they did.

So I told them I had thrown the item away because it was not sanitary and that if it was really necessary I could try to retrieve it from the trash

poshyyygal @miichx0o Hey there, sorry to hear that!! :( Some people will go through the process of saying there is something wrong just to initiate a return. Poshmark, is almost always in favor of the buyer. And more than often, will approve the sale even though the reason is not valid. For example, your NWT item. If the item was sold for a low price, what might happen is that you’ll get to keep the funds, and the buyer will get to keep the item.

poshyyygal @miichx0o Sadly, there are also a lot of scammers that do this to try to get stuff for free. If had this experience with buyers on M.ercari! It really is kinda stupid that they give the option to open a case if they are going to treat the issue with little care. That’s why I’m always to afraid to sell higher priced items. You would think that Poshmark is better about this considering the overpriced seller fees they charge, but they are not..

liladorbs There's this one girl with over 35K followers, she only follows 5 people back, so she's definitely really selective. Anyway, I purchased something from her last night and she said she shipped it today but she didn't click the ''I shipped it'' in the order status. I told her she needed to check that and she won't do it so how am I supposed to keep track of my item? She also had followed me but during the time I asked her this she literally ignored me and then unfollowed.

I had bought some items for her sister and she was really sweet throwing in free extra items, it was an overall smooth and sweet experience shopping with her. urbandollusa In my opinion (being a retailer for three years now, my own website and now on posh), Amazon and other retailers have created a monster. Allowing ridiculous claims and damaged returns. Look at Asos for example, 40% return rate due mostly to “wardrobing”. And I’m sure buyers do or threaten chargeback when posh don’t give them their way. And anymore, credit card companies almost always side with the card holder which is ridiculous.

I been so livid, that people get away with it & Poshmark let's them. Items were brand new, never used. Even with documentation, photos Posh still sided with the liar. It helped to know that a message is being put out there to hopefully make Poshmark open their eyes n Protect their Sellers. I wanted to again Thank You for that. 🙂

shessooposh Poshmark really needs to do something. If they have no sellers, they have no revenue from our sales. I’m just getting started on the app and already have a suspicious buyer. The lady haggled with my on the price of heels I listed for sale. After my second counter she send me a message that says that’s the best she do. That’s sounds like a personal problem. I told her thanks for her interest and be on the look out for additional items to be added to my closet.

I declined the low ball offer and she send an offer for my discounted price. I shipped the shoes that day. They were delivered 3 days ago and the buyer still hasn’t accepted the package. What gives!? shessooposh I’m so upset. I know you are supposed to get your money from poshmark after 4 days but I’m just waiting to see what foolishness comes up tomorrow with poshmark releasing my funds. If she wasn’t happy with the price, she just shouldn’t have purchased. Or if she thinks there is an issue with the item (which there wasn’t) open a case. ibeatfaces @shessooposh Even if she doesn’t accept it you’ll still get your money. The buyer has a lot of love notes and seems pretty active, I would just wait to see if she releases your funds and gives you a love note.

I feel it’s purely out of spite and pettiness because she wanted me to basically give the item away. I guess most users aren’t aware of poshmark fees. It’s one thing if I source the item from a thrift store, but those were basically new shoes from my personal closet that I paid full price for...had never been worn. If the price wasn’t right for her she didn’t have to purchase.

This is crazy!! Is this really what people are dealing with and I’m new to Posh. I would delete my account but still have active buys!! I’m furious! What can I do? I try to engage the posher who bought it from me as much as I can. If they are new and don’t respond to any thing then I cancel the order.

courtneywhit950 I just got scammed by a buyer!! I sent out a brand new blouse in perfect condition. She cut it with scissors and put ink stains on it. You can clearly tell by her pictures she cut it with scissors and put ink on it. I sent my pictures to show it was in perfect condition and they still ruled in her favor and said that I should have described any rips. I didn't describe any rips because it didn't have any. And what kind of seller would try to sell something in that condition anyway!

alittleellarose I posted some perfumes on my poshmark that are new and unopened. But these are really nice I would keep them myself if I didnt need money so bad but I’m worried about someone buying them from me, and then opening a case saying there was only water in them. How could I possibly protect myself from that???? What if they send it back to me with just water I’d be devasted. After reading this post I think I’ll take it down :/

It was stained and faded when I got it, but listed with fake pictures. told PM, to alert them, but they never responded. Blocked her.

resaleduo I had a similar incident where a buyer said I hadn't included an item in a bundle, but I know it was there. She initially gave a different reason for the return but then claimed an item was missing. This is disturbing! I am fortunate that the item is not valuable, but now I'm afraid to list anything really expensive. I initially got on Poshmark to sell some of my luxury handbags and designer items and now have reservations about doing that. I'm surprised Posh doesn't do more to Protect Sellers.

makeupandglory @krempecki501 another thing I learned is Posh goes by how to you described it to the point where if you don’t say “Both arms are securely in place, not loose.” That would create a loophole for the scammy buyer to claim they came “broken”. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Even though I stated that they were in new perfect condition etc. and I thought that would obviously mean that nothing was broken, which nothing was!

With all the sales percentage we give to the company you think they would have some saved for us to cover any nasty buyers, I tried pushing my case that I’m out of $90 of merchandise because they broke them, and Posh just gave me $15.🤦🏻‍♀️

I responded in the case with the pictures and the girl has so much to say as that I stained the jacket before shipment?? If the jacket was stained I would have mentioned it in the description

I deleted all of my listings that were for sale off of Poshmark and I will no longer be using their platform to sell. I will continue to use the other platforms. Poshmark has no seller protection

vzjxie I am also a seller who just got a case open for a item I have shipped and the buyer is complaining the box is empty. this is so disheartening, and I have read through everybody's messages. seems like Poshmark is not protecting the sellers interests and is allow scams to go on this site. This is grounds for a class action lawsuit, and I will be contact lawyers to see if anybody would take this up. if anyone is interested in getting their money back. please reply.

vintagevixennn This just happened to me. It appears Poshmark only cares about customers. My buyer has been a member since July of this year, has zero sales, and zero purchases. Where as I've been a member since 2019, I'm a Posh Ambassador, top 10% sharer, top rated seller, quick shipper, ect. Unbelievable. Poshmark took nothing I said into account, only the buyer. I feel like I have to record everything I sell and pack just to be safe.

allysia1996 Someone just bought my Hermès sandals that had no scratches and told poshmark after two days of having them that they were probably not authentic because I didn’t send receipt and WORE the sandals. In the picture she sent them in the case the bottoms were all scratched up and you can tell she wore them out.
