Nothing is more irritating than this! 😩 I've had to return so many items because of this!! Please please please do not try and fool people. Yes aluminum in deodorant can contribute to it, but it also has to do with bacteria, waste, and protein. So like I said.. Ew. So STOP DEFENDING ARMPIT STAINS IN MY COMMENTS LIKE ITS ACCEPTABLE! 😒

susanapple Ikr!! I once received a pastel shirt with literal black/dark green armpit stains and I was like.. That's not even subtle. And then when I returned it, they asked what was wrong with the shirt.. I was like really?? @iselliott

susanapple First of all, I always ask about the condition, yet I've still seen/had plenty of sellers hide the fact that their clothing has stains. Pics can easily be altered. And second, it is unsanitary. It's a literal highlight of the person's sweat that has built up. Since you apparently don't care then that's great, nice to know you don't mind wearing shirts with a yellow/blackish green discoloration. @maknoop Most people, on the other hand, DO care.

susanapple No worries. I do understand, but it is still gross. It doesn't come out. I hate staining of any kind, but this by far has got to be the worst. And even so, it is stained by a stranger. People need to be honest about this, I've seen so many clothes back up for sale that others have returned because of it. @maknoop People just don't want to wear that.

cindykps
cindykps As a seller & buyer, I'll add buyers be honest as well, realize sellers have *no control* over USPS time once item ships. I agree sweat stains, etc are not okay, listing items properly is very important. Both honest sellers & buyers and dishonest, too. Sadly not everyone acts with integrity. Happy poshing & may all your purchases & sales be honest! 😀

paigekristin
paigekristin @susanapple @maknoop uhm if something is stained a seller should automatically give that information in the listing. Also if I buy something I'm not doing so with the intent of trying to get a stain out. Ain't nobody got time for all of that! 🙅🏼I'm not about some nasty pit stains on my clothes. 🙅🏼👎🏻😷
Jan 13Reply
susanapple
susanapple @paigekristin EXACTLY! @maknoop my point is that I (& others) wouldn't buy clothing in first place knowing it has stains, which is why many sellers keep that a secret. If I do discover it has stains, it's not worth the time and effort to try to salvage it. If I tried but it didn't come out, I'd be stuck with it since it has to be returned in the same condition it was received (w/o washing). However thank you for the washing tip, I will pass it along to people I know who do try to get stains out.

susanapple Thank you, you as well! :) I appreciate your comments. I apologize if I initially came off rude. I just wanted to get this out there, because it has happened more times than I would like. I wish I had your tip on how to get the stains out a long time ago! Lol there is one top I definitely would have tried with. @maknoop

fashionfauxpas
fashionfauxpas @maknoop thanks 4 the advice on how 2 remove unsightly armpit stains..I get them.on my thermals all the time, and it most certainly is not a build up.of my sweat lol 😂😂😅lmmfao ..I literally douse with generous portion of woolite. Let soak in sink, rinse and then apply spray n wash, wash in gentle cycle and use an extra rinse and still the marks endure,

fashionfauxpas
fashionfauxpas @maknoop so with out a shadow of doubt bacteria is killed, however on other hand it does look nasty & I wouldn't ever sell something like that..shame 2 as I have every color of kombucha & most of motor cuffs in XS (gained weight can't wear them nemore but can't sell them either 😮😕😣so I hope ur advice works ..gonna try soon xoxoxoxoxo

waynerl
waynerl I bought a cream colored cardigan in a bundle from a seller a while back and both pits had large yellow stains. When I asked her about it she called me a liar and said it had no such thing. It was so gross I had to throw it away, since I still wanted to keep the other items in the bundle 😭

zoesmom70
zoesmom70 U r so right. It is gross. If someone tries to get the stain out and then puts it in the dryer it will never come out. That's so sad how people r. I don't like it when I get a moderate rating because the mail is slow either. It's not my fault. Anyway good luck

thebasicwitch I'm sorry I actually lol because it's sad you had to post this. Who in their right mind would want a shirt with someone's body fluid stain? People seriously...

cheergirl9130
cheergirl9130 @susanapple This isn't about deodorant stains but tbh I totally agree A month or so ago I purchased about $120 in cheer and gymnastics clothes and the girl told me they had absolutely NO stains and she would never sell them if they did. When they came in the mail they had nasty stains inside the shorts and leos so now I am way more careful.

cheergirl9130
cheergirl9130 @susanapple The worst part was that when I messaged her about it she said it was her friends fault and I got my item so I needed to rate her. She kept blowing up my notifications so I eventually just rated her and my mom got rid of the clothes. I payed $100+ of money saved up for nothing😭😭

susanapple Omg, That's horrible!!! If clothes arrive and are damaged when the seller clearly didn't say they were, then you can report a problem to posh and submit the situation with photos! They'll review the case and send a label to ship the stuff back, and once it delivers, you get all your money back! I've had to do that a few times because of stains. @cheergirl9130
Sep 14Reply
cheergirl9130
cheergirl9130 @susanapple I wish I did. I was actually going to buy on here but she then kept dramatically increasing the prices so I would buy on Merc. She kept annoying me to rate her so I just got fed up with it and did.

sweetieheart
sweetieheart This is good to know. However I do not sell anything that has armpit stains. But when I list something like some kids clothes that are worn but in good condition I'm careful to make sure the buyer knows exactly what they are getting. I'll remember to add no armpit stains in older clothing when listing. Never thought about it. It is gross. So thank you for listing this post. I learn another way to CMA as a seller and buyer. 🤗💜

mitzinunley1967
mitzinunley1967 I feel your pain! I have had too many items I've returned because of the seller flat out lying to me! I always ask about the condition but they just lie anyways. I have received 2 pairs of shorts with blood stains in the crotch...ewww! Bought a pair of suede pants & they had been worn "commando", leaving it disgustingly cruddy...nasty! The entire crotch was ripped up & there were even holes in the suede! I've thought about leaving PM because of these liars & thieves 😠
