mitchnkim Strictly sephora now. I get scared because what if a girl returned make up and return the item with a replaced FAKE item then i end up buying it, even buying from sephora im worried.
Jan 15Reply
carmenmariee
carmenmariee @mitchnkim they don't resell the used makeup. It's against regulation. Also you have to be trained to spot fake makeup to work at sephora.

proud2beme @carmenmariee One of my recent Kat Von D single eyeshadow from Sephora was swatched/used with obvious marking on its surface. So i gave Sephora a call and make the return. Some swatched/used items do get through inspection and refilled with new order as in my case.
Jan 15Reply
proud2beme
proud2beme @mitchnkim @carmenmariee per policy Sephora do not recycle used/swatch makeup, however my case proved to me that something is strange and did got through inspection.
Jan 15Reply
proud2beme
proud2beme @mitchnkim @carmenmariee Sephora made the refund quick and the return was smooth as well, the only down part is the waste of your time repackaging and a run to the post office - stand in line for the drop off.

mitchnkim @proud2beme @carmenmariee thanks girlies. Ive bought so many times from Mac and like three times it happen so that i buy their skinfinish powders and they dont have a plastic lid inside the compact amd is obviously swatched because of all the loose powder around the rim of it. So always be cautious right after you purchase open everything up make sure its new unused and youll be ok. Thats what I do.

proud2beme @mitchnkim After the many "really bad- NOT AS DESCRIBED" experience on POSH; it taught me to open and inspect all items i ordered on its arrival. Yea it's not good to assumed that everything would arrived NEW and perfect even from a big company like MAC.
Jan 15Reply
janeian
janeian @dylanjoel93 yeah i would be very careful & dont accept it if yur sent a fake, if you bought one i would just email them & see what yur options are
Jan 15Reply
proud2beme
proud2beme @mitchnkim No inspect for days later is not something a makeup addict would want to do :D ...On POSH! Do NOT accept until you've inspect the actual item received! Believe me, too many cases of deceit and lied to my face on POSH as the condition of arrived item is clearly worse and very different than presented on POSH.
Jan 15Reply
janeian
janeian @proud2beme thank you for this info! I had no idea sephora & mac resell returns
Jan 15Reply
proud2beme
proud2beme @janeian MAC and Sephora DO NOT resell returned items. It's their policy NOT TO, but sometimes Buyer do get item that is tampered with/ used/ swatched/ damaged. So with that said since it's their policy is NOT to resell damaged/used items for that reason the Buyer get return/ refund smoothly.

halliek81 Buying cheaply made fake make up can tuin ur face bc u have NO clue as to what reallyes inside the fakes u r buying/ using. Anytjing u put on ur face and eyes, id be extra extra cautious and just pay a full retail. Just not worth risking ur health trying to cut corners. Always always carefully inspect bc unfortunately not everyone is completely honest w what they sell. Ive had to return a quite of few items bought on Posh bc i had found an obvious defect on items which were never listed.

proud2beme @mitchnkim @carmenmariee @scarlet156 @halliek81 @janeian -- Do you guys want to see a great example of scammer on here??? --- https://poshmark.com/listing/Lot-4-Mac-luxurious-lipsticks-56aec70941b4e06e0a00a556

scarlet156
scarlet156 @proud2beme @mitchnkim @carmenmariee @scarlet156 @halliek81 @janeian holy crap those are so fake. and even the top she says made to order?? you can tell they are fake by the color alone and i would think considering most of us sell similar items and buy similar items from each other we would not say someone has fake items just because we have similar for sale. im still kinda new but doesnt PM have a way to report items?
Feb 01Reply
janeian
janeian @scarlet156 they do but im not sure how they go about removing the items, ive seem ppl get reported and still sell
Feb 01Reply
proud2beme
proud2beme @mitchnkim @carmenmariee @scarlet156 @halliek81 @janeian -- This is my own experience on here and opinion: I feel POSHMARK is a haven for scammers and profit maker from counterfeited items. PM do know about it due to the fact that I've report the many Sellers on here when I spotted the fakes "Designer Replica" nothing is done about it.
Feb 02Reply
proud2beme
proud2beme @mitchnkim @carmenmariee @scarlet156 @halliek81 @janeian So I have arrived at a conclusion that POSHmark is a scammer themselves. Any Buyer who bought the fakes is the victim of both PM + Seller, by reporting to PM for a hassle refund and their money tied up at the mercy of PM and the Seller.
Feb 02Reply
proud2beme
proud2beme @mitchnkim @carmenmariee @scarlet156 @halliek81 @janeian When I say "hassle refund" it means the Buyer has to provide the PROOF, required pictures or documentation from original manufacturer (brand name). So is the saving on PM worth the risk of your well being, time and harassments?
Feb 02Reply
proud2beme
proud2beme @mitchnkim @carmenmariee @scarlet156 @halliek81 @janeian As you guys can see the Seller I've linked above is combative and lashed out at the whistle blowers instead of caring about the FAKEs and take accountability on what she is selling which she should investigate or confirmed on the authenticity of these items by providing proof of purchase.
Feb 02Reply
proud2beme
proud2beme @mitchnkim @carmenmariee @scarlet156 @halliek81 @janeian This scam Seller did the opposite instead. She is now calling out on those whistle blowers and accuse them of selling the same things?? So to me this means EVERYONE IS SCAMMING AND I AM DOING IT TOO!
Feb 02Reply
mitchnkim
mitchnkim Your going to sell replicas?
Feb 02Reply
janeian
janeian @mitchnkim no this is for imformational purposes
Feb 02Reply
proud2beme
proud2beme @mitchnkim The " I am doing it too! " pertaining to the scam Seller that I've gave as an example.
Feb 02Reply
mitchnkim
mitchnkim So that is another person here on posh
Feb 02Reply
proud2beme
proud2beme @mitchnkim YES! It's this scam of a Seller here in this LINK: https://poshmark.com/listing/Lot-4-Mac-luxurious-lipsticks-56aec70941b4e06e0a00a556
Feb 02Reply
janeian
janeian @proud2beme i agree posh needs a way better return policy when it comes to cosmetics! Ppl lie and sell used make up as new and fakes as real, its makes the whole app look sketchy. It should be the sellers burden to prove if its real or not, not the buyer!
Feb 02Reply
proud2beme
proud2beme @mitchnkim @carmenmariee @scarlet156 @halliek81 @janeian I am 100% in agreement with you Janeian <3. The return "reasons" should be more than what's the current PM listed. The REPORT Seller "reasons" should have more than just what's listed as reasons as well.
Feb 02Reply
proud2beme
proud2beme @mitchnkim @carmenmariee @scarlet156 @halliek81 @janeian either that or PM should have a box to describe in 2000 characters of issue/ report.
Feb 02Reply
proud2beme
proud2beme @mitchnkim @carmenmariee @scarlet156 @halliek81 @janeian HERE IS A SELLER who specialized in selling FAKEs, but she is honest about what they are. scarlet156
scarlet156 @proud2beme@mitchnkim @carmenmariee @scarlet156 @halliek81 @janeian - well not sure the KVD items look legit they have the codes on the back so does the ABH so Im guessing its legit, she must have a good wholesale line to get so many but the colors and packaging look real

halliek81 Aliexpress is owned by a chinese dude hence a lot of fakes r sold there. Dont buy those esp when its sth u put on ur face..... Clothing, shoes thing like that r k BUT Not make up..... Thats just not being wise. U have NO IDEA what Chinese people do(no offense but its true) to make money. Theyve soaked newspapers for days to use it as dumpling fillings after marinating them w MSG. Why do u think they r sooooooo cheap in compared to Japanese dumplings or Korean dumplings?
Feb 05Reply
halliek81
halliek81 Ive seen on the news last yr all the watermelons in china exploded bc they kept shooting hormones so they can get as big as possible w a quickness. What did they do when the watermelons all exploded? Instead of throwing them out, they fed them to the pigs, buried them in soils where they were growing other veggies to export..... My point is u just DONT KNOW what goes in those fake make ups..... Please just pay the full price and feel safe knowing they are authentic
Feb 05Reply
halliek81
halliek81 When anything is too cheap, use ur common sense. Theres always a reason why its so cheap. Need to question its auhenticity
Feb 05Reply
halliek81
halliek81 @proud2beme idk about the make up shes sold but the pandoras MUST all b fake bc the dustbag/ pouch lettering is faded. Although i think pandoras design is for little kids who loves to play w beads i KNOW they dont make pouches like that. Id question her honesty bc she has listed them as authentic. When i list my items that r NOT authentic i state it clearly so i dont mislead any prospect buyers but that does lower the possibilities of people buying hence not all sellers r honest
Feb 05Reply
proud2beme
proud2beme @halliek81 Wow! You are one of the few Viewer on here who share your view and concerns at the 1000% and you've hit the point on the head, in that -- it's about the lacking of honesty and the greed of scammed for profits, leaving the unsuspecting viewer not only hard earned money lost, but unknowingly risking their health believing that they are using authentic makeup with QC/QA to the standard of consumer safety in mind.
Feb 05Reply
halliek81
halliek81 @proud2beme thank u BUT i had to share since the topic was on. Ive tried cutting corners before in my college yrs and ive paid for it. Dont want others to become victims either

proud2beme
proud2beme @janeian the shocking part is, in her description, she stated that the contour palette is authentic? LOL Now do everyone see the scammers on here continue to lie and lie and lie.
Feb 17Reply

janeian @proud2beme she wont even admit to it after i told her my sister got sick from using one! Its scary how careless people can be just to make extra money..& its so obvious they are fakes..

tinymama85
tinymama85 It's ridiculous this is even an issue. I bought a dupe Innerstellar palette before I knew this was an issue. I have the real one on the way and I plan to post comparison pics when it gets here.
Feb 19Reply
proud2beme
proud2beme @tinymama85 Please do! I didn't see anyone do a comparison Fake vs Real for KVD Innerstellar palette yet. 1. I am curious if the code on the back is the same or not. 2. manufacturing info is it the same with the real one or not. 3. other details that the counterfeited one missed on.
Feb 24Reply
tinymama85
tinymama85 @proud2beme I will try to get some info up later now that the real one is here!
Feb 24Reply
tinymama85
tinymama85 @proud2beme I just made a post for it
Feb 24Reply
proud2beme
proud2beme @tinymama85 based on your pictures, I couldn't tell the real from the fake. I guess you have to have both in person to tell, otherwise if anyone buying online through pictures ONLY, I could guarantee that everyone will be scammed/fooled by these scam sellers on here.

whitners
whitners I've seen tons of fake "the balm" nude tude palettes and Mary lou manizers on here as well. Luckily I bought a balm voyage 2 palette from someone reputable. It's in fact legit. Some of these fakes are easy to spot whereas, others are not! It's kind of scary. What is a sure fire way to know with serial numbers exactly?

whitners
whitners For instance I think this one is correct the batch number is placed directly in the center where is usual. https://bnc.lt/m/WR0KRmLhJs thoughts?

cherryblast
cherryblast It never ceases to amaze me how these sellers get away with selling Fakes. They get caught close Down-or posh takes their selling privileges away-then within a week they're selling again under a different user name. This is something I'm sick of. Wish posh could use ISP Addresses to keep ppl off here.
Aug 24Reply
cherryblast
cherryblast I've also noticed now fake palettes have the numbers printed so ppl think they're real but aren't. I wish ppl would just be honest and say they're fake. If someone wants it so be it but us REAL make up users then can slide by the faked. Urgh
