Hi, I'm Marissa. I'm a 38 yr-old mom to a beautiful boy, stepmom to an amazing young man, wife of a pretty cool guy, family member, friend, & cancer warrior. I love coffee, dark chocolate, wine, the smell of fresh cut grass & rain, & yoga. I believe in karma, a sense of humor, good food & drink, spending time w/loved ones, & retail therapy. toryshop @mnk8 I've a rare/aggressive form of melanoma October a major scare! A lump in my left breast? Turned out 2B 6 lesions, Mayo Drs call them, of encapsulated melanoma/ both breasts/This was after 2 weeks of mammography/& finally punch biopsies/so now on new chemo/the melanoma is the gift that keeps giving! 2 many biopsies ect.. my husband & I have lost count. Mayo is my home away from home/with an entire team of doctors! You already know! God Bless💞 @toryshop💞

mnk8 @toryshop So sorry 😩. Crazy the melanoma would start forming in your breasts too! I know the whole ordeal is surreal- a nightmare you're waiting to wake up from. Had a team on my case too; went misdiagnosed for nearly a yr? Spread deep in chest (mediastinal area), where radiation was too risky by my heart. Chemo was my only hope for that area. I was 34; my son almost 5. Wasn't sure I was going to see him start kinder. Continued below

toryshop @mnk8 Mayo actually has me in study/mine is a rare & aggressive form, but any melanoma can metastasize 2 other forms/anywhere! I've learned a lot trust that forsure?? They r trying 2 keep it from becoming breast cancer/right now its encapsulated breast tissues but not breast cancer/hoping 2 prevent that from happening/October was HARD! suffered a torrential amt of rain 11" in an hr/backed up drains /15" water in basement/insurance doesn't want to pay? Still fighting that! @toryshop💞

toryshop @mnk8 I just take it a day at a time/& it all started so crazy, my local doctor thought I had a gluten allergy, so I too went mis DX for over a year! My husband said that's enough! I was sick, weak, & down to 93 pounds! I just Thank God Mayo is only 2.5 hrs away/we have friends there(expensive place to stay for extended time) but I have a whole team! What's bad is me! Letting control go! I still try to handle everything & I no longer can! @toryshop💞

mnk8 @debbiemgarland Hi there! Recvd my order today, no hiccups this time. Just wanted to thank you for everything, including the extra item. I actually really do like it, but it's unfortunately a little too snug for me. 😢 This is one I'd actually need a MP in. The Loft off shoulder striped dress however, fits great in the SP. I think Loft sizing can just be inconsistent. Thanks again for being so thoughtful.
