Saw the Dr today after my MRI. I have two severe fractures in T7 and T8. Basically my bones are just crumbling because of the degenerative bone decease and osteo. See surgeon Monday

I used to have an active life and now I barely can leave the house. I was given Gabapentin and it helps for 2 days and then nothing. I empathize with you as much as anyone can. Stay in touch!!! 😁❤

wenrelas_boutiq I think I found a bandage for fibromyalgia. I've been on a low dose of morphine. I'm being monitored by my Dr & hubby. But I'm able to actually get out of bed, walk without a walker & even DRIVE! I miss driving so much. Love from Wenrella ⭕️❌✌🏽️

This forum has actually brought ne out of a pretty deep depression and given me purpose again. The ability to be creative and earn some extra money helps keep me going. dogmomdwd I'm sorry to hear that you have fibro. I have it too. I've been one of the lucky ones that started taking Lyrica about 10 years ago and it has helped me so much. I also moved to a warm climate. I still have bad days, but, I am so much better than I was. I'm wishing you all the best.

nia1113 @daisymae1970 💕 Yes, praying that you can get some sleep, I know that it can be crucial to feeling better. 🙏 Many nights, I take melatonin to aid with sleep. It's a natural way that can help some people, have you already tried that? There was a period when my fibro was so bad that I was actually on Ambien 7 nights a week! Weaned myself off because of negative side effects and now take it only about once a week, if that. I really hope that you will be able to sleep, though... ❤,Nia XOXOXO

daisymae1970 @flutter_buys i have taken a half an ambien every night for the last several years and never had a problem. Some people do have issues with sleep walking, but I never have. Another good thing is melatonin with L-theanine which you might try before the Ambien. Melatonin by itself does nothing for me, but with the L-theanine, it does. I did notice that if i take a whole Ambien, I would sleep hard for a few hours and wake up. Only taking a half worked better for me.

hopesparkles ✨💜 I've had FM since 1999 & know all too well how debilitating it is. Especially since I fell in a pothole herniating 11 discs in my neck/back & tearing the R rotator cuff in October of 2007. Then diagnosed with paralyzing Hemiplegic migraines in 2010, Reactive Airway Disease in 2012, truck hit our car on my side in 2013, had Shingles in 2014, & Steroid Crisis in 2015. Please know I understand! 💜✨

lynda721 @daisymae1970 You are so right Allison!!! It took me years to realize that the change in seasons makes me have flare ups. The change from summer to fall is worse for me than winter to spring. I am working with my Dr. and have seen my Chiropractor twice this week. He is taking it very slowly. I feel a little bit better. wenrella Just got home from a long day of Dr.'s apts & finally grocery shopping. (the most exhausting thing I have to do is buy food! It always takes me 3-4 hrs. cuz I have to look at ingredients to make sure no gluten, little sugar, no MSG, no this, no that, low this low that.) so I bought lettuce & carrots & picked up my new medication. LOL we will see if this new Med works on the fibromyalgia.

lynda721 @daisymae1970 Allison, after 2 yrs of paperwork and getting denied on my first try, I also just got approved for disability. I have other severe medical issues as well but, I got diagnosed with Fibro about 25 yrs ago. As I age, dealing with Fibro becomes more challenging. I have been asking this question to each Fibro sister lately... Do you have a downward spiral during the change of seasons? The worst time of the year for me is hot to cold. It takes from 4 to 6 weeks for me to adjust.

daisymae1970 @lhaag721 Congratulations! It was a two year battle for me as well. This season is the worst for me as well. Epsom salt baths and magnesium oil help some. I also try to walk as much as I can manage. Otherwise I get stiff and achy and will be down most of the winter. I was also diagnosed about 20 years ago. A recent car accident absolutely derailed me. Before that I did fairly well.

silvimom64 Hi, I'm Silvia and I have Fibromyalgia too. It took 4 years for the doctors to diagnose it and in the last 2 years I have a disc replacement and fusion from C3 to C7 and a laminectomy to relieve pressure in L1 to L5. And my Dr says that he have to do the same thing he did in my cervical, in my lumbar. So, it was and it is really hard to cope, because I use to be extremely active and now most of the days I don't get ot of my bedroom. Posh is a life saver for me!

I've tried Lyrica and Gralise(Gabapentin) which both made me lose my memory and my job. Quit those and am stuck with pain meds, muscle relaxers and "special chocolate"(now legal in CA). I'm really lucky to have a great support system around me, mi husband, my 6 kids and 5 grandkids and alo a couple of friends that are more like sisters because we know each other since elementary school. Because withaout them I wouldn't make it. Like you sometimes is painful just to stand up, because the pain on my feets and on my hands too. What I find that help me with my hands is doing crochet even if is painful!

silvimom64 @karebear51 Hey we could be twins!! because you're just like me!! I was an athlete too, when younger use to represent my birth country Uruguay in the women penthatlon. And until 2010 use to wake up,run 3 miles do 30 min yoga, shower, make breakfast and go to work. Went to YMCA 3 times a week and volunteer at the Fl hospital ER. I have 6 kids and 5 grandkids that keep busy and also at that time we own 3 different business.

I too was so depress that my Dr send me to see a srink and it help, also I have a great support sistem between my husband, my kids, couple friends that know me since elementary school and my grandkids that gave me the strenght to get up every morming! I still doing some yoga as much as I could and found that doing crochet help to keep my hands mobile and flexible.

silvimom64 @karebear51 I take Gabapentin too, and pain killers and muscle relaxant. Because of the Gabapentin I can concentrate, forget things, gain weight and feel tired all the time!! I use to be a control freak and now have to rely on pills to function, obviously that make me crazy!! I live in Orlando, Fl wich is really good because can't stand the cold. My Drs also told me that the cronic back problems trigger the fibromyalgia.

silvimom64 @mariesgoods1219 Me too, thank God one of my daughters live 5 blocks from us, and since the good for nothing she had for husband abandon them 2 years ago, we are helping her with the boys so she can go back to UCF to finish her career and also work as a substitute teacher. The positive side of all of this is that wr have 2 of my grandkids almost everyday with us! And they give me the strenght to keep going too!!

Have been permanently disabled for 9 years and care for my mother who has debilitating dementia and end stage COPD. I was reading someone in this group was having nerve ablation. icloztbylizzy @silvimom64 am totally understanding- going from athletic to barely able to do dishes, stand in line at store, or cook (which I love so much) .. epsom salt baths and Lyrica helped with some of the pain, but I have to sadly admit, that after dropping 40lbs, The pain went away. Course recently, after recovering from surgery and picking up about 10 lbs, there came the pain.. I struggle to keep weight off, but it's a big focus..Crazy stuff, but I understand. I will keep you in my prayers :)

I understand what you're going through I have Lyme disease, POTS, and EDS so I can't go to school or work and I'm 14 and I can barely get out of bed. This amazing place is my job until I get better. flutter_buys @designsbyci no, I have not tried that. I have had injections and procedures. But not oils. I heard acupuncture is worth a try as well. I'm getting ready to have another procedure in a couple of weeks. But it's a test procedure to see if it will work. Have to do that twice! 😏

Or the diffuser bracelets in my shop work well too, I use a chakra one to help with anxiety,depression,insomnia, and my pain and I truly and honestly think it works like magic! It's crazy haha😊

I have a "backup" Rheumatologist who I've seen 2x in the last 3 wks, because I broke my rt foot (tho a clear fx can't be seen?) he took labs in Dec., because I broke it on my way out to my reg Rheumatology appt. When I saw him last week, he said "you really need a workup by reg doc asap! I've been Rheumatologist for 30 yrs, & I've never seen #'s this HIGH!"

abstractdreams I just accidentally bought this...no, it's not good! They don't usually cast foot fx, but I have a hard aircast from a previous fx that I've been wearing most of the time. I've had fx do this in the past. Hairline fx are super hard to see in me, especially on my feet because I've so many spontaneous stress fx in the past. After they move & the break is clear, doc's can go back & see it in previous xrays. Hindsight...

It took a long time to be diagnosed because of so many different problems. Lack of energy, usually something will set it off. Like a back injury in my case. But I would definitely get that checked out!! Do you have diabetes??

mugsyj Wow. This was powerful! I too have Fibromyalgia and the hardest thing was getting my friends to understand why my social life went from a 80 to a 0. It’s a horrible thing and because you can still look pretty and be sick I guess it doesn’t exist??? Thank you so much for sharing this it’s great!! It seems that with fibro, spinal stenosis, and other health problems, I have three levels of pain - bad, worse, and worst. I cannot recall a single day without pain in 12+ years. Ugh. And my doctor doesn’t do anything either. Very frustrating, to say the LEAST! I do take “ nuvigil “ that is for narcolepsy to keep me awake during the day. You should ask to give that a try?! I take provigil though now because that is $0 co-pay instead of $500 + co-pay! I need it adjusted because I've been on the same dose for over 5 yrs now. I do use to get I think it was 35,00 ius of V-D once a week for 10 weeks then stop for 4. But back to reg. now - see below

The B-12 injections help some but just for a few hours and they are only once a week so just look forward to that is about the best that comes from that. lol! flutter_buys @katt_sweeter When I first joined posh I was diagnosed about 2-3 months before. It really helped me accept and deal with the diagnosis. I found out there’s TONS of women on here that have fibromyalgia. Stop by anytime! I’ll pop over there too! 💜💖😁

jennifermcge815 Hi. I also have it and other health problems. Plus I'm getting older (50) I lost my job about a year in the pandemic and I'm trying to use Posh and other platforms which can be So exhausting. So I feel for you. The meds make me very tired and sleepy so I'm not always on Posh but I do try to check in several times a day. If I feel good I am here all day sometimes. Take care and stay safe. We live in a different world now ♥

sashagirl75 Thank you so much for bringing awareness to this!! Most of us live in silence with no one knowing how much pain we are truly in. It took me nearly 8 years to be diagosed, & I still have had some medical professionals who treated me as if it is all in my head.

mfbrooks65 Are these stickers? Clings? I have fibromyalgia really badly. I’m on my 2nd flareup in the past year. Can’t work. Can’t seem to do anything. It’s a great feeling to know that more people are recognizing this as a verified condition. God bless.
