winsomewardrobe @alaskanstyle what? you've never had a HP?! well - having been on both ends of that (having host picks and hosting a party), I think the number one way to get noticed by a host is sharing the hosts closets. A lot and early on vs in the week before the party. Hosts can find out they are hosting as early as a 4-6 weeks before their party so look for the party listings that are a ways out. It gives time to get to know you and your closet.

winsomewardrobe @alaskanstyle Commenting on their party page while it is fairly new helps too - but the closer it gets to the party, the harder it is to keep up with all the comments and recommendations and in the last week it can be overwhelming and comments easily get buried. If you aren't already on a share list with someone that finds and shares party notices early, Wendy @warrior05 is a wonderful woman who does this and I'm sure will be happy to add you to her list :)

winsomewardrobe @alaskanstyle others might have different strategies - but that's mine :) that's not to say I don't share closer to a party too, sometimes people need last minute ideas - but I literally would have over 100 comments an hour in the last week or so before my party and I could not keep up with them all before they went away :(

alaskanstyle @reinem Thank you kindly for taking the time to share some of your wisdom. Everything you said makes absolute sense! I do share a lot and often regularly. Usually I share as I'm browsing so it's hard for me to stay focused on a set "share" task lol. I'll try and pay more attention to the party announcements though. I have a hard time commenting for exposure as I'm pretty reserved until I feel I "know" someone. I clearly need to perk up some if I want a HP though!

winsomewardrobe @sassafras19 OH! Hehe. I think my initial search was for something like abstract runway or high fashion runway and again sort of convoluted way to actually finding this one. I got a couple others in the same search that are more like paintings than this one. I also sometimes filter the image type by line drawings when I'm looking for things so i don't get a bunch of photos. Hope that helps!
