This is a gem. I've been carrying this around with me for about 20 yrs now. It's an authentic 1925 Apron. Original tags still attached and in tact. I'd like to think that I have the oldest garment with the original tag on it! Haha! Anyway. Mint condition. Not even a stain. The tag was folded before, but still great. The date 9-7-25 is stamped on the underside of the tag. How cool is that!?*I personally know the Person who owned this.

maethecat1 Hi! If no one buys this on Poshmark, a museum may be interested.

crystalraeanne @maethecat1 thank you for the advice! I know who had it when she was in early 20's living in Brooklyn in the 20's. My brother has her diary. I gave it to him. It is from 1923. Pretty cool. I'm just holding it. I was thinking that someone might want it if their Gramma was born the same date as the apron. Or something. :) good advice though! If no one does, I will.

maethecat1 Thanks for sharing the story of the pretty apron. I live in New York... And I was just in Brooklyn on Monday!-- actually at a vintage clothing store called beacon's closet! Brooklyn had changed so, so much. My dad was born there. In 1930. He grew up in Flatbush

Jun 13Reply
lovemaddiejane
lovemaddiejane @crystalraeanne there is a vintage brand. You won't be able to have wash and wear in the title. It's just plain vintage for the brand. Click on my listings and search by brand and vintage will come up. It will help your exposure.

kdkred
kdkred Hello @crystalraeanne! This apron is truly a gem! My mother was born that year. She would have been 91 years old. Although it would be wonderful to possess such a treasure, I agree that a museum would be a good place to best preserve the fabric & the memory. 😀💕

catanddoglvr
catanddoglvr Nowadays women don't use these. Well most women don't anyway. I have a couple and they're actually very convenient when you're cooking. You know how you cooking eggs on the stupid grease splatters when you just check the eggs to see if it's cooked. Not a problem when you have one of these. And the comment about a museum a museum might actually want to buy this just because it's really cool and still has the original tag. Good luck with the sale I just had to tell you I love it and it's adorable.

crystalraeanne @catanddoglvr thank you for the comment! You're right. Women don't use them. I still do though. Not the 2 I have for sale. My Mom made me a tiny apron when I was 4. I helped her bake. :) Awesome! ♡

michellecater I own a bakery and I love aprons! I wear them all the time! I made all my daughters aprons and we have them hanging in the kitchen for when we cook. 💕💕💕 I love this vintage apron! Reminds me of my grandmothers! I probably wouldn't wear it just because I wouldn't want it to get messed up lol 🙂❤️

girlvintage @crystalraeanne You are very welcome. This apron, the diary and a picture of the lady would make a wonderful addition to any collector. I would say this is definitely museum worthy, it would be ashamed not to share with the world.

lavenderdiane
lavenderdiane If you were to donate it to a museum I'm sure you could do it in honor of the person that gave it to you and it would show on a plaque in the museum. Our Naval Aviation Museum has a section that has things like this in it so don't just limit it to certain types of museums if you are interested in donating it somewhere. Thanks for sharing it it's amazing. You never saw my grandmother without an apron on except for church.
