Fact: I share each treasure in each of our closets 4 - 8 times per day. Did you know: when you "edit" your listing (you do not have to change a thing) it does several things. 1) Your followERS can see your listing on the feed. 2) Your listing gets moved to the top of it's category feed. Edit your Tiffany Ring then shop the category Tiffany, your ring should be at the top. Now ANYONE who searches Tiffany will see your ring first.

Your Tiffany Ring now has 100 likes (let's say). Click on your ring. Now click on the people who Liked your ring it will say something like @blackbeards and 99 others Like your listing. Click on the 99 ADD all the people who liked your ring. Just because someone liked your ring doesn't mean they are following you. Follow them, they may follow you!!!

Remember you can like a listing on the feed page WITHOUT following them. You want anyone who has liked your listing to be following you. They already like 😻😻 your style. To encourage them to follow you can share some of their listings. Repeat for every listing you have. Repeat often.

Let's go back to editing: When you edit it goes straight to the shop feed. Now only your followEr can see your listing. Look at the feed, what do you see? What you want is for your Tiffany ring to be shown alone in the feed, that way you get prime advertising AND people can click LIKE on your ring.

You don't want "Sally shared 22 items from her closet, visit Sally's closet. People can not LIKE your item. Edit each listing SLOWLy. You will know you are getting prime single spots when gals start liking our listings.

Take a break after 10 editing/ sharing s go to the feed. Scroll down. Share all your prime individual listings again off the feed. Repeat. Notice which listings were grouped together. Go back to your closet and edit/share those listings again very slowly. Repeat feed sharing.

Sharing other people's listings. I only share: what I like, I try to be a high end store so I often share high end designers. I never share items that are a lot like my items. Eg I sell Sterling Rings, I do not share other people's Sterling rings (after all these are my followers). I don't sell shoes, I share shoes. I don't sell cloths, I share cloths but not in my price range I share higher or lower.

Featured Items: I call my top ten listings in my closet my features items. You will notice that if you take the items that are always at the bottom of your closet and bring them to the top for a few days they should be getting a lot of likes if not there is something wrong. Change the picture or price.

Share quickly near the end of each party. Again use your editing feature. Especially the late nite group party all your listings can be shared now everyone can see your items. But 80% of the people share during this group.

Rearrange your closet every day. Use editing feature. You can not blast on posh (sharing the same item 5 X 's). I found that if you rearrange your closet frequently you end up doing a lot of sharing of your items.

I personally do not like large closets I do not have the attention span. I normally stop after 10-20. Share your signs at least once a day. I keep a few in the top of my closet but most of my signs are at the bottom of my closet. When o get to 3-4 signs in a persons closet I think I am at the end of their closet.

Create a chat listing. All comments under a listing can not be removed only if the listing is deleted. And of course a sold item can not be changed at all. A chat listing can always be deleted.

I spend hours a day adding people I follow. I come up with a state and a city then add all those people. I will be selling a lot of fur so I will add cities in cold weather. Toe rings, I add people in California. I have rain coats I will add San Fransisco. Then I add new people. ... My goal is to get 1,000,000 followers🌺🌺🌺

SHARE GROUPS: There are many Share Groups on Posh. E.g. Handbags, Vintage, Plus Size, Sunday, Saturday Night, Jewelry, Late Night. Etc. Request to join a group, located in someone's closet. The host will review your closet and invite you to join. Sign up on the days you want to participate. Follow the rules. Share required amount of shares per closet. (Eg., 3-10 shares). Share each closet participating that day. Each participant will share 3-10 listings in your closet.

Share Groups: follow the start and end time of each group. Make sure you put your sale items that you want featured near the top of the closet. Your items will be shared to the followers of the gals sharing your listings.

Parties: there are 3 parties each day the 9:00am , and 3:00pm parties will feature certain categories (e.g., shoes, handbags, Tiffany) it changes each day. Note when you edit your listing and share it will be automatically shared to the party if appropriate. The 9:00 pm party will take all of your listings. Party listing can be seen by all, not just your followers.

@smann68 You can rearrange your closet as often as you are in the mood. Think of it as the window to your store. You may want to put your pretty pink top next to your black flowered shorts - you are saying to buyers buy both the top and shorts. I call the top 4 items in my closet my Featured items! @smann68 My rare showcase items are very expensive and normally near the top of my closet. I often buy a very unique treasure as a showcase treasure. I often pair it with a very affordable item. Visit @ladyblackbeards to see what I mean. Some days I put all my handbags together, earrings, rings, etc then change which group comes first. I will share half of my closet so my rings are sitting on top. An hour later I will share the rest of my closet.

Not For Sale: If you are busy, working a lot, away from home, always Mark your items not for sale. Never never tell ANYONE your plans of when you will or will not be home. I met a Gal's whose husband died. In the newspaper obit she listed when the funeral was. She and her family returned home after the funeral to her home that had been robbed during the few hours they buried a family member. It only takes less than an hour to rob your home.

Every so often put all of your listings not for sale. Take a break from poshing. Everyone needs a break from their job (even poshing), go plant flowers, read a book, take a nap, call a friend. After a week off, simply let your items be for sale again. 💜🤗😘💖

Everyone can see your listing when you share during a party or when you share each night at 10:00pm EST to that party. But because most people share at that time your listings are among thousands and thousands. So the more followers you have the better chance you will sell. Let's say you are selling a Coach bag. Search Coach Bags. Pull up a high priced on and a lower priced one. Go to the listings and read the comments from buyers. Lower priced bags- buyers are trying to get a discount. Higher priced- is it real? Authentic? Beth

Authenticity: unless the bag (item) has a certificate of authenticity the item is not a certified authentic item. In other words putting the word authentic in the description does not make the item authentic. Receipts, nor other papers, or cards proves authenticity. Listings a bag under "Coach" does not mean it is an authentic Coach bag. Posh has a limited an finite number of designer to "HELP" Buyers FIND listing. Sellers can change the designer FIVE times to try and get a sale. So buyers should understand that the listed designer is there to help buyers find the item. Now comes the hard line. If a seller states in the title or description that the bag is a Coach bag it better be a Coach bag. If you buy it, you can take it to a Coach store (they should be able to tell you if it is real or a fake). If the Coach Store says it is a fake, you have a case on posh to return the bag. Remember you only have 3 days.

Jewelry authenticity: No one has real jewelers anymore (unless you live is a large Major city). So if you say the lady at Zales (a 22 year old) says it's not authentic- She is NOT a Jeweler. Now a days stores have to send jewelry to a real jeweler have it fixed or sized by mail.

Jewelry authenticity: The jewelry Testing equipment you can buy on line is very expensive and very basic. After many long hours of research, we believe that Gems and very expensive jewelry should be certified by a Gemologist or people certified in appraising jewelry.

Authenticity: Vintage Sterling Silver have a warm rich glow with a yellow hue. Expensive designer bags have perfect stitching. Most bags: if the outside of the bag has a pattern the inside is plain. Jewelry authenticity: in our closets we label items based on the Testing done by the shops we bought the item from. Some sops I trust and I use their labels, other shops I don't trust and I don't use their labels.

That’s how buyers are, your job is to find the people who meet this criteria. I have had sales, Free Shipping, which did not work. But stores pay a lot of money for designers to lay out their foot traffic, market their wares, and run sales. Look up 5 of your favorite stores on line what do you see on the first page? I think you should try many ways of doing things.

We are putting all your signs at the bottom of your closet. Now share each sale item you made cheapest to most expensive last.

Click on cheapest to most expensive. Now go to each item in your closet and edit (without changing anything) and post (cheapest to most expensive) do no edit signs or sold items. Close closet and reopen.

You want to sell the $549 item first because you have more time and $ invested in that one item. These expensive items tells shoppers that you have good taste, you have designer items, that you know quality and style. They will look at what else you have to sell. Beth💕💖💕does that help?

Put signs at bottom, each sign must be worth its weight in $. It is taking up valuable sales space.

But if I share like 5 of your items, the feed will say BlackBeards shares (and you need to click on it to find your items). When I was in several share groups I did not have more or less sales.

It will take 3-4 weeks for your case to conclude. Make a good case to posh why you should win. The buyer will probably win and she should return your item in the same condition. You sold item will remain in your closet. Just relist your item when it is returned. Beth

Always answer questions with a simple fact not opinion. Eg the shoe is a size 8. Vs the shoe is a roomy size 8 with a little wear. Always back what you are selling or don’t sell it. Be firm in your prices and each sale. Eg For all you know a gal bought your purse to take for a party then marked it w makeup or pens now wants to return it and can unless you have photos that show it was not mares up. Just FYI for future. No returns.

NO. 2 nd Posh returned the money to the buyer only and the item was returned to me. AWAYS Block any buyer who wants a return. 6 months from now you won’t remember who she is.

They charge $35.00 and up per item and provide you with a signed certificate of authorization. This is the only authentication my business act knowledges or a paid posh authentication.

I do not use the word authentic. I do not pay people to authenticate my items. Although some of my items have been tested and authenticated by the shops I buy from. Authenticate is a construct that needs to be defined.

I normally clean Jewelry Treasures again just before I send them to a new buyers. Sterling Silver and Gold are cleaned with Silver and Gold cleaner while a mild soap solution is used for none Silver and Gold Jewelry. I also use a mild soap solution on most handbags. Any items that are NWT are never fully cleaned just spot cleaned.

@soulgirlsharon Howdy. Here is my recommendation. Spend time adding new people you FOLLOW. So when you have time to add listings you will have many followERS (they are the people who will see your items when you SHARE them). So whenever you have 5 minutes just start following new people. If using your phone, I recommend using a stylus (saves thumb from repetitive movement) ($1 at the $1 store) also pick up some tissue paper to wrap stuff in.

@soulgirlsharon For small jewelry I put them in a snack container (10 for $1 at Dollar store) lined with makeup cotton pads. I put the ring in that. Put the little box in a USPO envelope (I write Thank you for your purchase from @blackbeards ...) fold that up put it inside of a small USPO box (flat rate) then put that box in a USPO envelope (Domestic and International Priority Mail) slap on the printed shipping label- take and give it to the post office or schedule a pickup w postman.

Every day I followed more people and tried to figure out how to mail stuff (even the post office didn’t know how). In other words take your time, make a plan, gather items, figure out how you will store items (some times over a year), get Shipping items...

So now you can go to each of your 4 signs: click on one, hit edit at the top, change not for sale —to for sale— change starting price to 1111 asking price to 1111 then share. You will then see your sign on your feed. “Edit” each sign 1-10 times a day. People will start FollowING you. 😊

Eg go to my closet, top left menu, says all, click to women, makeup, eyeshadows. Now you see what eyeshadow I am selling. Spend time shopping on posh. You don’t have to buy but spend time to see what a buyer if feeling. Have fun at the conference and with your friends. 💕💕💕😊

This is an amazing list. I try to reorganize my closet often, especially those top 4-6. You have been through my closet & bc I tend to shop closets differently than you do (I tend to like larger closets if they’re selling items & brands I’m into bc larger bundle usually = larger discount) but I’d love to know your thoughts on my closet especially bc you see a closet in a totally different way than me. Also do you find that it helps to organize by type of product? I’ve often thought of doing that, but everyone I’ve asked about it had a totally different reason that they organized their closets that way & didn’t really know if it had helped. Now you see all your eyeshadows listed from cheaper to more expensive. Start with bottom edit each item through the last eyeshadow.
Now sort and edit what you want next.

@motley_closet ❤️❤️❤️ let me guess your sales are down from the last two weeks? That’s because of the 4th of July sales every one had. The world said go spend money and they did. Think of when people get paid. The first of the month then people pay all their bills and may be broke for the rest of the month. Social Security checks come on the second Wednesday of every month, no the elderly have money.
Think 🤔 of when people get money to spend. We are in a recession.

@blackbeards One tip I have is a cover pic for a listing should have a professional clean look. This can mean different things for diff types of items. For example makeup looks great on a white background, that’s how the pictures look on the actual makeup websites. The PhotoRoom app is a great help for this… cont in next comment

@blackbeards …Show clothing on a model when possible (person or mannequin). Buyers like to see how the clothing looks on a body. Make sure there isn’t anything in the background that draws your eyes away from the item you’re selling… cont’d in next comment

@blackbeards …You can also white out the background of these photos with the PhotoRoom app. I recommend this when you can’t find stock photos of the actual item, when it’s not being modeled (ie hung up or laid out flat) or when it’s being modeled but the background is messy or overwhelms the item you’re selling.

Type on product. Winter clothes are at the bottom. Mens clothes. Then womens colthes then handbags then jewelry then cosmetic bags, skin care, foundation, shaping the face, blush, eyelashes, mascara, eyeshadow. I might take a break after skin care.
I read you should share your items 20,000 a week. I do twice a day and then makeup 4 x’s a day.

@blackbeards I have the exact same problem . Sometimes I just want to keep everything lol. I recently had my first case of sellers remorse, which I didn’t even know was a thing until I felt it 😭 I still have ALOT of stuff to go through & decide what to list & what to keep. Mostly pieces made vintage by me. It’s all in storage so it’s been a long process & my daughter fits in alot of it so it’s hard to decide what to list & what to hold on to, especially bc it all has sentimental value

@motley_closet I’m glad I didn’t hurt your feelings. I EDIT each of my listings once in the morning- after I follow the new people. Then I’ll Edit my beauty items ( top seller)
1-3 times in late morning and afternoon and early evening. Then I will edit each listing during the 10:00 pm party. Then I will edit beauty one more time before the party ends. I will edit my whole closet around 1-2am for the west coast people.

@motley_closet if you go on search type in Estée Lauder for example. All the listings you see are the listings their owner just edited. Buy editing it brings your listing item to the top of the search. Because so many people edit their listings your item will only stay on top the search for a few minutes. I read you should edit your closet 20,000 times a week. Does that help?

@motley_closet when I first started I too spent a lot of time on my art. Now I spend time adding people and editing each listing and adding new listings. I do go to the makeups web to get pictures prices and to see if item is retired. You are welcome to go to my follower and people I am following and add them follow them.

@motley_closet Hi I just followed new people and I followed all of you followers and all the people you are following. Then I edited all my makeup. Results; over 100 responded by following me, and 30-40 people shared one of my listings. I normally get 3-5 likes who I send a deal to. In 20 min I will share all my listings I mean edit. Hi Beth here. I hope everyone has learned how to Id all buyers who had a like at one time. Then you use the app to turn them into a bundle. Then you send out a discount 10% etc on all of them and then send a comment: I am having a super sale…. Remember you are only allow 3 offer per person. Then you have to start dropping the price privately or to the general public. This did increase my sales.

Another tip I was going to tell you is I used up my 3 offers on all of my blush makeup. Then I offered a private discount to all my likers. I did get some sales. Offer is good for 24 hours. Then I will copy my listing and increase the price and delete the old listings that had likers. My sales increase when I add many new listings.

When you are listing Revlon red lipsticks for example. Go to search and put in revlon red lipstick. Pick a listing that is close to what you will say. Copy that listing and adjust it to what you want to say. BY the way: While you are picking out a listing to copy go to the listings that are selling revlon red lipstick 💄 and copy all the likers on many of the listings. Just an FYI
