This has got to stop. Listing items under brands that your item is NOT -"for exposure or views" -"because of similarity" -because your item is unbranded, wholesale, or boutique -any other reason... is not okay! It's against Poshmark Policy (Poshmark can suspend or remove your account for this) and undermines properly labeled listings. If your item is unbranded, wholesale, or boutique, just list it that way. *pic used is just an example of a frequently misrepresented item*

loopholer WHAT YOU SAID!! &PLEASE everyone report if you suspect! It's not fair to us that are looking for a specific brand and it's not fair to those of us that sell items that aren't that brand but follow the rules!! It's definitely not fair to anybody that gets tricked!!!

loopholer And privately I'll tell you my feelings about that but it really sucks for me because it's Leslie jewelry and I've really noticed that the past couple months and I've not been here that long and it's upsetting and a lot of people don't understand what's upsetting

maddagirl Hi - thanks for your question on my page. I had to google which dress that was by Athleta, and in my search results were lots on that major bidding site that rhymes with me pay. I think it's just a matter of waiting for the right size and color. The other major competitor to this site, M, might also have some and it's super easy to refine your search on that one. Good luck!

I will not go into naming names here, but it felt an inappropriate thing 2B doing? There's so much of it going on? I thought Poshmark allowed it? bethylin94 Hey, if I bought something from someone that was mislabeled, but then noticed it says “similar to” in the comments, is it possible to have Poshmark cancel it before it’s sent out? Or be able to return it if it is sent? Some girl did this to me and now she won’t cancel or give me a clear answer if she’s still going to ship. I neutrally asked her to cancel because it was misbranded and she was so hostile. So now she’s making my wait a week until the grace period ends for me to cancel 🙄

bethylin94 @katlynw02 okay thank you! i’m not sure if it was a replica of anything, I didn’t recognize the item but it was listed as “Free People” but turned out not to be. I sent an inquiry to posh, I seriously hope they get rid of it 😭 anyone else who comes across this learn from my mistake

louandmaisy And how do you report when people are selling USED makeup?? This is driving me nuts because it is forbidden AND disgusting. I hate searching and have to wade through a bunch of gross used items - especially eye palettes. Help!!

katlynw02 @lisa_edwards_tx oh, I know, I spend endless amounts of time reporting them. Besides not being allowed, it is impossible to completely sterilize used makeup without destroying it in an autoclave. Even less acceptable during a pandemic!! If you go to the upper right hand corner, report and then select unauthorized item-other. Eventually they get reviewed but it is extremely frustrating

kathaqua People will stop coming to Poshmark to shop if they can’t find what they want due to all the brands being mislabeled. I have seen target brand tagged as brandy Melville and other brands tagged as target. It’s like people don’t like the brand they are selling so they just assign it a random brand. It’s so wrong and doesn’t help anyone!

ehlibs2939 Does Poshmark usually help with the reports? I’ve reported this one closet (she’s posted her entire closet with comments tagging for visibility). She reshares her entire closet (100s of items) every day and what I’m trying to sell is never visible unless I reshare it constantly. It’s been 24 hours and she’s still active :/

mandaluvscoe @erikahernand804 actually it’s their number one rule - no replicas can’t use the brand name, can’t tag it as the brand, just “Fashion” cannot use word inspired. Not sure what you read. But if you say so.

wildfreesoul27 @ehlibs2939 same! I actually purchased a purse from this one seller, and before purchasing in the comments i asked if it was the correct brand. My comment was deleted 2x (because the first time I thought it was some type of computer error). I then looked at a bunch of her other items and everything is mislabeled with brand that are familiar. When I did an image search, the item was from Alibaba , not Anthropologie. I hope Poshmark checks into this
