maryk5 Sorry another question since I can't try on so I don't know. If you can help? I wear a sneaker size 8 and sometimes 8 and a half if a bit narrow. I have a wide foot plus they swell due to the fact I am quite ill with RA. I was thinking a 9. @maryk5 what would be your ideas? Thank you

mikeishere @maryk5 converse are narrowly designed shoes, just like Hollister makes clothes for mostly slim people. Only athletic shoes company offer wide, such as Nike, Asics, and New Balance. You should try wide sometimes, you will love it! don't wear a 0.5 more just to fit your width, that makes the length more loose, so you won't have a good walk.

mikeishere @maryk5 Wide shoes are rarely sold in stores, so you would have to buy them online. I recommend going to department stores and just try on wide in general to get the feel, you will feel the different. Then go online to buy. As for converse, please try them in store to get a feel for size 9, since all converse size are the same. If you wear size 8 wide, then yes a converse 9 would fit.
