preziosa37 Hi! I saw you comment on a monogrammed Madewell tote stating the initials can be removed. Can you tell me how? I thought the initials were sort of embossed. Thank you so much for your advice:)

dejavu91 @preziosa37 hi! it depends on the type of monogramming. Some are deeply indented and others are just stamped on. The stamps are very easy to remove with any kind of Home Depot tape - duct tape or heavy duty shipping tape, with zero damage to the leather. If you have a black bag you're in luck because you can buff over the leftover letter outline with black polish or treatment. If it's deeply indented you still will be left with an indent of the letters but can remove the gold foil

dejavu91 @preziosa37 some bags have pieces that can be replaced by the maker as well. But with the Madewell totes I believe we are on our own. Another method for the deeply indented monogram is to heat the gold foil and scrape it out. It's a little scary but can be good.
