poshmarkbest There are pages and pages of fake PM accounts starting with name: "poshmark..." These accounts were all opened within the same few minutes today. They are mass tagging people and linking them to a scam poshmark website. Please shut these people down.

brasscandy Hey follow poshers!! I've created a "scam" post and have been sending it out... I've also reported those account who've asked me to go to the "poshmark reward site". I think these scammers have realized once we send messages to PM, it takes 2 business days to be addressed... perfect timing since PM may not get our notifications until Mon-Tues... it's scary!

And I haven't heard so far of anyone having anything bad happen so hopefully it stays that way :) I think everyone is anxious because it is coming from several different closets and @pm_editor hasn't responded yet! soniaroxana @orangehhr220 just because you didn't see it submit, it doesn't mean that it wasn't submitted. Behind the submit on that page can be a hidden link/operation that can do things like send cookies or authentication tokens from your computer to the bad guys. Using those and the email you just gave them they can get into your PM account they can transfer whatever money you have. I'd logout of PM on all the devices, clear cookies, change my password and log back in afterwards

Now when I go to the new people app to follow I have many, many scam Posh people using the Posh trademark impersonating as new people. Needless to say I did not follow them. I would think Posh would want to stop people impersonating as Posh corporate and infringement of their trademark. I'll keep you posted.

dalelock @pralinequeen Change your password on Poshmark and your email. I entered a fake email & something was running like a report. It sent me to an app that said click the app, that's when I shut it down. I changed my passwords & hopefully nothing was hacked.

moniii_g @rorilima Most people have been following what you posted but it makes me concerned that this has been going on since yesterday and poshmark has not responded via the app or sent an email explaining the situation. They usually send out an email notification and I have not received an email from them about this situation. How do we know they are working on it?

rorilima @moni_g because the accounts are being actively removed. There are literally new ones that keep popping up. Every one I have reported has been removed in a matter of hours. Yes usually we get emails but I honestly think this ha been a large spam attack. The post thing we can do is make them aware and flag the accounts while they figure out what to do.

rorilima @marsha_chic posh is removing all comments upon deleting each individual account. On my hosting posh Detroit post there has been 6-7 spam comments. Each was removed each time the account was so just do the reposting and blocking and Posh will take those off too. Hope that helps lovey

missjoosty @rorilima most of my comments have already been moved, thankfully. I did a people search with the letters 'pm' since most of the accounts start with this, following a sequence of numbers...the search returned hundreds of accounts like this. how long ago has anyone reported the same comments? This just started happening for my account yesterday..

itemstosell @moni_g I got suckered into it thinking it was real. Now I'm concerned for the security of my PC and my email account along with my Poshmark account. I've received six more this morning. I didn't see anything on Poshmark or any news informing people. I even checked the Facebook site. It's a shame they're not posting for users to be aware of this.

selinak8 @rorilima If you do a search for users with posh or pmark starting in their name u will see literally hundreds of accounts created this month with only 1 listing, following the PM editor, and if u click 'about' there is a statement similar to the spam they are sending out. I think they have prepared for the long haul on this....

moniii_g @itemstosell Exactly why I'm thinking this is more than just a scam. Why hasn't poshmark sent an email to insure us that our information is safe and that in fact it is just a scam? Or that they are working on it. I've tried emailing them, sent them messages on instagram and received no response at all. I haven't even seen them respond to anyone in a thread or a post either.

I fell for it & am now concerned because they have my email address and I accessed it through both my PC & phone. Left Poshmark a Facebook message and an email.

thecozycircle @kelleysthreads poshmark will delete the scam comments after they delete the account that posted on your listing. I have several of them gone already and know they are working on the rest!

itemstosell @ericagaitan I just changed my email password, my Poshmark password, i'm running a virus protection scan on my PC, and have to figure out what I can do for my phone since that's where I accessed the supposed prize website. I also blocked the URL from my PC. I can't believe I fell for it. I'm usually so cautious. I'm the one that's always warning other people and now I fell for it.

How about, get a job instead of trying to scam people out of their hard-earned money, right? I guess all we can do is stick together, watch each others back, help the people that dont know and report them. Sucks we have to do that! profashionalnyc @rivkaa IKR! This is ridiculous! And shortly after the first run I keep getting an error on my posh app. It keeps telling me that the site has an invalid certification. I always click cancel instead of continue but nothing works. I literally have to use Poshmark.com in order to see my notifications. Idk what the hell is going on. I even deleted & reinstalled. No change & still waiting for Posh support to reply.

profashionalnyc @rivkaa I've done everything! And I never even visited the site they promoted. I just knew posh wouldn't need subaccounts or a subwebsite, and they would just email us all or pop up in our newsfeed. I also removed my payment info. I'm just scared because they continuously tag me and I had posts all over my account warning people. I hope they answer me, it's been days!

Posh def should have announced something to reassure us that we are safe. But all they say is to report it. Reporting it won't stop the motherfuvkers from hacking whatever they need to hack. We need to know if our info is safe. If they continue to breech poshmark, then I may just have to call it quits over here.
